  • Good lookin' meals, Tracey! I hope you enjoy the Prayer Breakfast today. :)
  • It's the weekend, friends! *happy dance* I hope everyone enjoyed their Friday nights. :) I got home around 7:00 PM, so husband took the reigns on dinner again. He made vegetarian sloppy joes (combining textured vegetable protein and grated carrots), which we ate "open-faced" on Brownberry flax and sesame seed sliced bread.…
  • @mistymeadows2005 Oh, my gosh! Smidge was SUCH a beautiful girl... she certainly looks like she was loved abundantly. :) Also, your SO looks like such a fun-loving guy! Haha, thank you for sharing you pictures, Steph. I loved it!
  • @mistymeadows2005 Steph, thank you for sharing. I'd LOVE to see photos of Smidge! If you ever need to share happy memories of your precious kitty, I'm always down for that. :) I understand what you mean about the feeling of loss and pain. One of my boars (Ptolemy) passed away very tragically in December (as a result of the…
  • Ahhh, I'm so sorry I missed this, Steph! I'm still getting used to MFP, and somehow I totally never responded to you. You can most definitely live vicariously through me, because I adore my fur and feather babies (and will never miss an opportunity to talk about them or share an unnecessary amount of images :D). I…
  • Hi, Sarah! I'm starting to make my way through your thread, and I just wanted to say hello!!! :) I'm looking forward to cheering you on and following your progress! <3
  • Thanks, everyone! I'm trying to tell myself that as long as the scale is moving in the right direction, I really have no room to complain about anything. :) Haha, my husband thinks it's super weird that I prefer to have supper at the same time as my piggies... but he plays along, lol. I'm a huge lover of guinea pigs (I…
  • This is wonderful progress! Congrats on breaking a 10 lb loss! :)
  • Thank you, everyone, for the words of encouragement. I was still struggling with feeling down about my teeny, tiny loss, but you've all made me feel so much better. :) I decided to not weigh myself last night, but when I hopped on the scale this morning, I was 124.6. Haha, so still not a humongous loss, but nicer than the…
  • Congrats on the loss, Tracey! Hooray!
  • You're doing awesome! Congratulations on the loss! :)
  • You're stronger than me! Great job on resisting the temptation. :)
  • Mmmmm, mmmm! I love pot pie! I'm a vegetarian, so I've never had chicken pot pie in particular, but if it's as good as the hearty lentil and potato pot pie my husband makes, then I'm sure it was deeeeelicious! :) Glad to hear energy levels are up. It's nice knowing that the weekend is right around the corner.
  • Sidenote for me, just to make weight tracking a bit simpler: Week 1 (2/12-2/18): 125 lbs Week 2 (2/19-2/25): [will wait to update with week's "official" weight until I weigh myself again this evening] I'm hoping to have Thursdays or Fridays be my official weigh-in days, just for the sake of consistency. I'm sure there will…
  • @tlblanksfit Thank you, thank you! <3
  • Thanks, Tracey! It's nice to hear that this isn't something that's completely rare. I was shocked (and maybe even a bit embarrassed) when I saw such a teeny, tiny change in the scale... but, it does make sense that the body would need a bit of time to adapt to the "stress" I'm putting it under with a consistent fasting…
  • Hi, Sammy! Nice to meet you! I just started reading through your thread, so what a fun coincidence to get a comment from you. :) Thanks for mentioning autophagy--I'll definitely have a look. I won't lie... I was very disappointed in the moment to see that I basically lost no weight, but I know that I'm making some progress…
  • This is such a great thread, Sammy! I'm only a few pages in, but I look forward to reading about your progress for motivation. I'm technically on my second week, and I feel great (although I haven't really lost any weight yet). I'm so glad I discovered OMAD! <3
  • Hi, Miranda! It's such a pleasure to meet you! Welcome to the forums (although I'm a few days late in saying this). :) I'm fairly new here, myself, but everyone is SO wonderful and supportive. You will certainly find yourself among friends here. I wanted to chime in that I'm also a pretty big nerd! I don't cosplay, but I…
  • Fingers crossed for 187, Donna! Thanks for the explanation behind your eating style, too! It's greatly appreciated. :)
  • You're still kickin' butt, Tracey! Love the updates and the pics. I've gotta get in the swing of taking photos of my meals... I feel like it adds a layer of accountability to know that I have to share everything that I shove into my mouth, haha. :)
  • You should be proud of yourself, Steph! In spite of everything, you just keep on losin'! Send some of your mojo my way. ;) Also--wanted to chime in that when I cook, I also have to taste it. There's nothing worse than preparing this elaborate meal, only to sit down and discover that it tastes like... well, you know. :D
  • You're doing great, Bob! Congrats on the successful day. :)
  • I know I'm a weirdo when it comes to the foods I eat, LOL. I'm also a big lover of broccoli on pizza, which all of my friends think I'm nuts for. :D Yes, I'm very pleased with OMAD so far as a way of managing my eating. I feel like I don't have to deprive myself... all pleasure is merely delayed for 24~26 hours until the…
  • Yesterday was another successful OMAD day. Since I had the day off, the hubs and I actually drove to a cute diner and had lunch. I ordered pancakes (sooooo good), a spiced chai latte, and a small order of eggs. Had a delicious, fruity beer with my noms, and it tied the entire thing together. I can say that I'm not a fan of…
  • I LOOOOVE beans on top of pizza. I know it sounds weird, but lentils are another thing I enjoy topping off my homemade pizzas with. So tasty and gives ya that extra fiber boost. :D It was pretty good! I'm chugging along and happy to report that OMAD hasn't been as hard on me as I was fearing. Woo hoo!
  • Had another fairly successful day yesterday! I ended up fasting for a total of 26 hours, which I broke when I got home from work around 6:00 PM. I ate a cookie dough FiberOne bar while my husband wrapped up making homemade black bean burgers. I had one and a half (on whole wheat buns) with lettuce, tomato, and mustard. I…
  • It's almost too good! I don't consider myself a food snob in the slightest, but I have a hard time eating delivery pizzas now that my husband and I have become fairly decent scratch pizza makers! :D
  • Sounds like it was a needed break from your typical food routine! :) Judging by how well you've done with your schedule for so long, I have no doubts that you'll be right back on track ASAP.
  • Had a pretty good weekend of eating! Saturday was a day full of household projects, which was definitely needed. The hubs and I sat down for dinner around 5:30 PM, and we had homemade pizzas! He made a small vegetable one for me (topped with red bell peppers, purple onions, roasted brussels sprouts, black-eyed peas, and…
