  • Please add me! I am looking for some new friends that are active on the site. I have lost 7.8 since starting January 1 - looking to lose another 15(ish) pounds.
  • my favorite snack here lately have been carrots(??) Why, I am not sure because that is suuuper lame, but i've been dipping them in light ranch dressing, hummus or guacamole & its been a satisfying, crunchy mid day snack that is easy for me to pack to take to work. Also, I always keep string cheese and hardboiled eggs in my…
  • This week I have had the same thing every day for breakfast- strawberries & blackberries, 1 hardboiled egg, 1 morning star "sausage" pattie & half an avocado.
  • For breakfast I made up smoothie bags with frozen strawberries, mangos and bananas. That way all I have to do in the morning is dump the fruit in the mixer with yogurt and a splash of milk... For lunch I made a batch of Turkey meatballs with sweet thai chili sauce, sauteed green beans and boil in bag brown rice :)
  • as of right now it is only 05:38 in the morning, so I would have to say my COFFEE!!!

  • Welcome to MFP - I preferably weigh out my foods raw as I prepare my meals for myself. However, you can certainly log the weight once cooked if it is easier. (like instead of choosing "Chicken - Raw" find "Chicken - Roasted" or whatever). I know when I cook for the family it is easier to cook dinner for everyone then weigh…
  • Its a personal preference really. I personally weigh in once or twice a week. Usually on Wednesdays and/or Fridays. I found that when I was weighing ever day I was getting distracted by that small fluctuation that you get naturally from day to day.

  • I agree with every single previous poster above... it is all about calorie deficit. Clear your mind of all the "good" "bad" "healthy" "unhealthy" foods/diets that people preach about all over the place, and focus on calories in < calories out. To start, don't stress too much on WHERE the calories come from, as long as you…
  • Welcome back! I just started again as well - just focus on the main goal!! Surround yourself with like-minded people to keep you motivated! Anything is possible once you put your mind to it! Add me if you'd like, I am currently looking for a good support system.
  • I am a huge advocate for meal-prepping. It makes your mornings so much easier because everything is already done! I usually meal prep breakfasts. Now that it is getting warmer I started making smoothies in large batches. I put them in mason jars, with plastic lids and place them in the freezer. Take one out the night…
  • Wow! What a fantastic job!! Keep up that great work!!! Congratulations!
  • Thank you all!! Yeah I'm struggling comprehending it myself... especially trying to pack it all for work!? Well we will see how it all plays out in the end! The only thing my doctor said was a "heart healthy diet" nothing else. @psuLemon, thank you for that and I'm glad to hear the outcome your wife had!!! That makes me…
  • oh! oh! pick me!! :) Looking to lose 25-30 pounds.
  • OnxyStar, I am glad you posted this thread because I was contemplating the same question myself
  • I'll have to try that! I love cottage cheese!
  • I am a huge fan of meal-prepping. I do mine on Sunday. On Sunday morning I make my dinner menu for the upcoming week, and what I want to take for breakfasts and lunches. I write up my grocery list and head to the store. Everyone's ideas are great, so I am not going to repeat them because I would have said the same things.…
  • I agree with the laughing cow cheese idea, they are so yummy and creamy.
