I love it too! Finally in my 50's to find an exercise that I love and can stick with has been life changing. I've been going regularly for 9 months now and it's made such a difference in everything.

If you can, try a Pilates class. They have several different levels- believe me, there are 80 year olds in the beginners class, so I'm sure you'll be ok!

A guy walks into a bar and sits next to a giant grasshopper. He says, "Hey! Did you know they named a drink after you?" And the grasshopper responds, "They named a drink 'Kevin'?"

Well you came to the right place. My doctor said exercise is great for a million reasons, but when it comes to losing weight it's 20% exercise, and 80% food intake. This site will show you how to calculate how many calories you should stick to if you want to lose weight. Track everything and stay under that amount and…

Good for you! Get control now, because I can tell you from first hand experience, the older you get the harder it gets.

That's the spirit! You can do this

Not ok and pretty dangerous. BTW I share your fear of escalators, which is why I like to walk up or down. As long as I look down and keep walking I'm ok. I hate standing there hanging on for dear life because I feel like I'm going to fall. Asking your host at a house party to turn the music down a little because no one can…

The first time I discovered my now ex husband cheating on me. We'd only been married a year and I was so in love and trusted him with my life. It almost destroyed me. I said I forgave him, believed him when he said he'd never do it again, went to therapy, etc. 14 years later I discovered he was at it again. It wasn't as…

Stop staying at Doubletree! Just kidding- I travel a lot for work, too. I honestly try to avoid those who offer free breakfast, or club lounge for that reason. Hard to resist free food and bev.

Thanks- she's doing fine. Seems totally normal, eating well, playing, etc. I did finally talk to the vet oncologist who told me that chemo is not very effective on cancer in the liver because the liver is designed to fight it. The best way to treat it is surgery . She's a 13 year old dog and we just did surgery two months…

I read the novel 20 years ago as well and thought it was crazy- interesting how prophetic it was.
-
Complaining? Not ok. Asking for advice in a loving way- ok Asking someone for a sip of their water from their water bottle

Thank you, this was helpful. The only reason I put her through the surgery is the tumor was very small and I wanted to catch it early. Plus....even though she's 13 she's so energetic I just don't think of her being that old. But...that one surgery is it. I will not put her through another one. I guess my question is, if…

Thank you for this. What are the side effects of chemo on an older dog? I do want to do what's best for her. She's 13 but still has a ton of energy- runs and chases butterflies all day long. Will chemo make her feel sick? I honestly want what is best for her- her quality of life and being free from pain.

So full disclosure, the above scenario happened to me. I won an incentive trip and asked my BFF to join me as my guest. Everything is paid for, which is great! She later asked me if her boyfriend could join the day we were supposed to leave so they could stay on for a few days together. She asked me to ask our hosts for a…
