My main hang ups r.e. the way I look is my post 2 section pouch. It's been almost 6 years since the last one and despite trying my hardest I absolutely can not shift it. I have a shelf that sticks out just above where they cut me open and it makes me very self conscious in clothes. I'm also not in proportion, tiny waist,…

You're not wrong but it's incredibly difficult trying to pack in more protein whilst sticking to my calories, trying to get a balanced diet with fruit/vegetables as well as not depriving myself completely.

My calories are based on my TDEE at 50kg minus 300 for the defecit for fat loss. That's based on 3-5 days a week of exercise which is pretty much what I do. Some weeks it's 3 days, some a bit more, very rarely it's 2 days so I don't eat back anything. I'm not only trying to increase my strength but get skinner too because…

The injury was just a dodgy neck, I took a few weeks off and went back to lifting when I had the ok from my chiropractor. Prior to that I did keep stopping after a few months of 3 day training so I had to go back to the beginning again. I've never really got past a 50kg deadlift and my squats start to struggle around 60. I…

Yes they are kgs. I did notice today that as soon as I hit 50kg for my deadlifts by back starts to round, this is an ongoing issue despite me trying to use the correct form. It's just that bit too heavy so I'm upping the amount I'm doing, will do a few more lighter ones and go from there.
-
I talk to the trainers regularly and they see no issues with my form and I was seeing a chiropractor who was into weight lifting and from what she saw when I did a quick demonstration she was happy with my form too. I lift 3 times a week, squats, deadlifts, row and bench twice then other things once a week.

I have done and I'm very happy with my stance on things because like I said, I could fall down the stairs, crash my car, choke, all these things could mean I suffered brain damage, some form of paralysis. I'm not advocating a mass gathering but I can't stay locked up forever, I will actually go insane.
-
Because it's highly unlikely I'm going to die from it, certainly no more than any other virus. Life is for living, I could crash my car tomorrow and get killed or suffer horrific life changing injuries, life is full of risk, can't avoid it forever.

I started doing it back in January but had to take a couple of weeks off then I restarted. Was going well until the gyms shut. They are open again now but with it being the school holidays my schedule is too erratic with the kids at home and me working evenings so I'm going to have to wait until September to restart…

It's so hard isn't it. Ironically I've been saying for ages I want a day to sit around, eat chocolate and not leave the house, now I've got 3 weeks of it, maybe more!

I've gone back to the beginning with Stronglifts, I got 8 weeks in but it took me ages to get my form right on deadlifts and rows and I hurt my knee so I took a break from squats for a while. Back up and running again and just redone week 1 so will see how I get on. I want to get to the end of the 12 week programme, I've…

I aim for about 100g of protein a day, I'm roughly about 108lbs give or take. I have more fat on my lower half than the top but since having kids I have an apron where my c section scars are. Profile picture was taken this month, I don't look too bad until the trousers come off then you can really see how much fat I carry…

I'm a similar height and my data suggests that I can lose 1lb a week on 1730. I was tracking my calories over a period of 5 weeks and lost 5lbs from start to finish. I didn't weigh myself daily but every now and again and over time it went steadily down. I don't know how accurate it is though so I'm giving it another shot…

No not yet but I think I'll ring the doctor on Monday to try get an appointment in the week.

I emailed my PT earlier and asked to book in a couple of appointments to go back to basics on the things I'm having issues with. Iike the Stronglifts programme and it's something that works well for me in general but maybe I just need to change it a bit so increase by 1kg instead of 2.5kg, 2.5kg instead of 5kgs. I'm going…

I have asked my PT and he says my form looks fine but I think there must have been one occasion when it was off and that's what has done it. After a conversation with a gym instructor I decided to lighten the load to focus on my form because whilst it wasn't compromised it wasn't the best. I think I've been trying to go…

I'm the same height, 33 and fairly active. I have been fluctuating between 109-115 for the past year. I can't seem to maintain the lower weight for any more than a couple of weeks but it's something I'm working on. I've always been around about 120lbs give or take since I can remember. I've always had an active job and…

I have granola every morning almost, I just buy Jordan's Raisin and Almond one. Have between 35-40g topped with 80g fat free yoghurt, 100g of berries, 5g protein powder, 5g raisins, 5g pecan nuts, 5g banana chips with 10g of honey. Add in a cup of coffee and it's 400 calories or less. I usually eat it around 8am, walk 2…

I'm a bit short of 5000 so far and that's just from pottering around the house, soft play and a quick trip to the post office. I've got a 5 hour shift later as a waitress so will easily do another 5000 by the time I'm done. I normally walk four miles a day to take my child to school, on a day I work I can get as many as…

I started Stronglifts 4 weeks ago, initially I hired a PT for the first 2 weeks so I had 6 sessions. I found his help invaluable to help me learn how to use the equipment, check my form and give me confidence to go ahead and do my stuff. I'm on week 2 of doing it myself and it's not scary at all. I go in, headphones on and…

I set mine to active based on the fact that I do a lot of exercise. My average week looks like this: Monday: Get up, get 2 kids ready, out the door ready for the one mile walk to school. Walk the mile back then hit the gym for a Stronglifts session with light cardio to follow for up to an hour. Back home, sort lunch, get…

Thanks! Most people probably wouldn't notice, I'm just a bit conscious of it, especially because it wobbles a bit. Still it's there for a reason, it saved my first child's life, without it he wouldn't be here so I should embrace it really.

Pre kids I used to have a perfectly flat stomach, especially in my late teens and early 20s. My first child resulted in an emergency section and the second was a chosen section. I'm left with a small shelf where the incision was as well as loose skin even though both children were small (4lbs 10 and 6lbs 05) I don't have…

I have put in my statistics to the app but I don't know what activity level to choose. I want to include my exercise in my calorie goal because I'm so consistent, logging it separately just makes it harder really. I'm trying to lose but if I know my maintenance then I can choose how much less to eat. Currently I'm aiming…

I started at 10st 4lbs last April and am now 7st 12lbs which I hit late last year. Other than having to buy smaller clothes I haven't noticed a difference at all. I think I was in the 9st range when I bought smaller clothes then smaller still when I got to the high 8st range and smaller again at the lower 8st range.

I work part time doing bar/restaurant/functions and I find my issue is that I'm starving. I eat before work around 5-5.30pm but by the time 9pm comes round I'm so hungry and sometimes my snacks just don't cut it so I'll eat something else. Doesn't help that I have no willpower so if there is nice food leftover I'm so…

Height 5"1 Weight 107.4lbs Upper thigh around 20.5in Calfs-12cm BF % is somewhere around 26% My lower half is the bane of my life and I can not shift the fat no matter what I do. My hips are huge and flabby as is my bum so I'm just destined to look terrible. Come September I'll be doing 90 minutes walking minutes walking a…

I'm a pear shape too and like you find it frustrating, my lower half just seems so much bigger! I'm 5'1 and weigh something like 108lbs yet my thighs still rub together and I still get muffin top. Mind you even my top half leaves a lot to be desired, not to mention my c section pouch.

Phew, that's a relief, life would be awful without indulging on things! I am looking into recomp but I'm having to change gyms so for the next few weeks will be doing classes like body pump, body combat and HIIT alongside cardio and weights whilst I get my bearings. As for the cellulite dehydration can play a part so I'm…
