i just saw a recipe for flourless chocolate cake in a magazine. sounded really good. still had sugar in it though.

i love morningstar farms soy "meats". they have veggie bacon, veggie sausages, chikin nuggets... fairly low calorie too and delicious

swimming helped me lose a lot of weight once (an hour and a half three times a week). i also ate a lot of bananas and nuts and not too much else besides a little pasta with salad for dinner

eat more soy foods, tofu, nuts and seeds, bean dishes, lima beans, fava beans... vegetarian split pea soup is supposedly a good protein source (i have a great recipe for it if you'd like)

swiss cheese sandwich. (lettuce , mayo, salt and pepper), apple with lots of peanut butter, microwaved american cheese sandwich

cheat days are so your metabolism doesn't adjust to eating lower calories stalling weight loss. i make sure to have regular cheat days weekly. (weekends are basically a free for all within reason of course) and it seems to be working for me.

i've tried hemp protein. very yummy, but it goes bad after a while so it has to be fresh.

i agree with the Popcorners, also there are Plentils if you can find them and I like Biena roasted chickpeas. (the ranch flavor is the best)

i was diagnosed diabetic too. my doctor sent me to a dietician and also recommended the Dash Diet book. where you don't seem to need to lose weight you could probably add more calories, but it is a good book that lays down some principles that apply to diabetics and has some healthy meal ideas. I used to use a leftover plastic chinese take out container and an old prescription pill bottle for dressing.

tacos made with morningstar farms veggie crumbles instead of ground beef and an old el paso dinner kit. lettuce, tomato, taco cheese and sour cream. yum!

there's the magic bullet and the nutribullet. the nutribullet is larger and more powerful. It is very easy to clean provided you give it a good rinse right away after using. I usually rinse it right away then leave it in the sink for a soap wash after later. it's great for smoothies and ice slushies.
