Er, you don't actually have children do you :p

Breakfast literally means 'break fast' and is just the first meal you eat of the day-there's nothing magical about it though. The whole 'breakfast is the most important meal of the day' was part of advertising campaigns for the new cereal market back in the day (largely by John Kellogg....). I do IF and eat my first…

Are you counting your calories within your window? I'm getting back into IF after a break and I'm down a pound without counting, but since I'm a lower weight to begin with I wonder how long I'll be able to get away with it lol.

Correctly measured out portion sizes of these things are not really high in calories. The bread I eat has 60 calories per slice, a cup of cooked rice is around 200 calories (I eat a serving almost every day as a base for my chicken and veggies), a serving of chips is around 150 calories, same with pasta etc.

You'll mostly change your goal weight as you go along, so don't worry about it too much. Chose a number that's a healthy weight for your height and as you get further along into the process you can tweak things. Also, you'll most likely adjust that number after you transition into maintenance as well as your goals, age etc…

There's a reason why most people regain their losses within 2 years and add weight on top of that-maintenance can be a LOT more challenging than the weight loss phase, which is typically a few months to a…

Aldi has the most amazing coconut flavored coffee right now (it's one of their seasonal flavors). I add a packet of generic splenda and it's zero calories. If I want to get really fancy I add a bit of canned whipped cream, which is low calories as long as you don't add half the can :D

Its been a while since I read the book and watched the documentary, but didn't he also start walking more during that time as well? I seem to remember that mentioned somewhere. I've done 5:2 and liked it, but it's just a way to restrict calories, nothing magical about it :)

I've been doing IF for years now, in its various forms. When I use IF it helps me keep my calories in check and I enjoy doing it. Currently doing 16:8IF, with an eating window of 11am-7pm.
