  • @jugar We had pie day on Wednesday at work. I myself had a banana toffee cream pie and it was wonderful. Fruit pies tend not to be my favorite thing but rhubarb sorbet sounds lovely. My stomach treatment seems to be effective (knock on wood) so I'm going to eat some fruit this weekend and see what happens. I haven't been…
  • @jugar But I'm shy! Sorry, sorry. Husband mentioned an interest in accessories so I found someone who crafts pendants and things out of meteorite. I thought I'd give it to him with a card saying it was a piece of the universe for my universe. I'm so lame. XD But he likes that stuff too.
  • Management bought donuts for breakfast and I pre-ordered pie for lunch last week. I want to go home. D: @conleywoods I appreciate the suggestion but my husband likes literally none of those things. He's so hard to shop for. XD I think I'm gonna buy a ring and "propose." Might be kinda sappy, but he loves sappy stuff.…
  • Secret subsection A is: patience. Takes a long friggin time to put CICO into use in a noticeable way.
  • Gifting is generally stressful for me since I'm bad at it. -_- I know because he told me, since there might be a slight delay. He paid my favorite singer to sing me a song, like omg. But said singer has a chest cold and can't sing right now so it'll have to wait until he's better.
  • My stress is so high for the silliest reason you guys. My 10th wedding anniversary is in just three weeks and I have no idea what gift to get him. And since I already know what he got me I'm feeling extra inadequate. It's silly but it's actually seriously stressing me out. Also I feel weird about year 10. I was only 17…
  • Falkor! Ha! Not only do I still have my old tape of that movie, it's one of my favorite books. When I was in fifth grade, I had a very young teacher who liked to show us fantasy movies. Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, Legend, Willow, Neverending Story. I love them all, and I can quote most of them. And sing the soundtracks. >>…
  • Thank you for the kind words of support. I know I'll be OK but it sometimes gets hard to see how. In the meantime, my check in here keeps me a bit grounded. Small bright moment: the route we take on our walks goes alongside a dog run. Today we were watching the pups play when this giant, pure white, unbelievably fluffy dog…
  • CW: 161.6 I wanted to give a bit of an update since I've been MIA for a while. A few weeks ago my mental health took a pretty steep skydive into the deepest hole. My work situation became and remains unstable. My boss and I had a cry about it Friday morning even. Husband's work situation remains dire, with overtime and…
  • Nothing you consume will boost metabolism. That thing specifically is highly unlikely to reduce appetite. I suppose it might by virtue of placebo effect. You're better off just eating enough low calorie food to fill your stomach. Personally I'm a fan of roasted broccoli.
  • CW: 161.8 Hovering near the 150s. So typical lol.
  • CW: 162.8 Wow, great job in April team! Proud of you all. I'm basically maintaining at 163 but I've been extremely slack about logging and have been eating at maintenance during weekends as a sort of break. I'm really struggling with burnout and depression lately.
  • CW 162.6 I'm always hungry lately for some reason.
  • @AnnPT77 My endocrinologist tried to get me on the "avoid white foods" diet. Its a nasty, pervasive one. :( Since most of my weight had to do with chocolate and soda I really don't think it would have helped. Potatoes aside, they can pry my sticky white rice out of my cold dead hands.
  • Bread makes you fat. Chocolate/sugar makes you fat. Not. I eat so much bread and sweets. I. Love. Dessert.
  • I'm a high tier chocoholic. I spend all my time on Reddit on the volume eating sub. Volume eating desserts is my life. Here's one: 59-Cal Chocolate Protein Muffins Very easy to put together with basic ingredients. Perfect to have on hand for your workweek. INGREDIENTS 💫 60 g Protein Powder (chocolate ideally) 💫 30 g Cocoa…

  • I have them sometimes when I'm craving one. Since they're pretty high calorie, the "sometimes" of that treat is one every couple months, that's all.
  • It really is very nice, the wind is a bit brisk though. Still need a sweater for a little while longer. I went out on my lunch hour to get some sun. The loop around my neighborhood is the perfect distance, and the map Garmin makes is kind of satisfying.
  • @jugar Can I get a raincheck this week? The battery on my scale died and I didn't feel like braving the snowstorm for more.
  • Speaking for myself, I'm not teetotal but beer is disgusting so I haven't had one in a decade.
  • CW: 163 Considering how bad this week has been, that's ok. Husband and I had a tearful Feelings Talk early in the week, and then he was rejected from grad school again, and I got sent into WFH again because of how bad Covid is again. So. What I'm saying is we ordered cake through Skip The Dishes on multiple nights and…
  • Videos and pictures of baby goats, particularly in pyjamas, is my happy place. 🥰 Way too cute. I would love to cuddle those kids!
  • I said eff it and ate half a cake for Easter. And I sort of regret it because my stomach can't actually contain half a cake anymore. XD Oh well. You only live once and I wanted to eat cake. It was a good Easter overall. My ham turned out, I grilled asparagus and I made mashed potatoes that fed two people out of a single…
  • CW: 162 Getting those itty bitty losses but they are slowly stacking up.
  • Y'ALL. I went to get some dress pants and the sales lady saw me in size 10 and said nope, too big. So I walked out of there in SIZE 8 DRESS PANTS. Size 8 in pants with no stretch or give! I've never been an 8 in my LIFE. Also the store was closing so I got hundred dollar pants for $25 lol.
  • It's the stroller. Smart watches get thrown off when you push stuff. I got almost 3000 steps grocery shopping today but my husband, who was pushing the cart, got less than 1000.
  • In happier news, a CD I pre-ordered showed up and its amazing. The album is called Starship Velociraptor and so far my favorite song on it is about fighting the sun with an Army of Tigers so that really tells you everything you need to know about how amazing this is. I really needed this in my life today.
  • My meeting was OK. I am shaky like whoah though. There's a power tug of war going on at work between my boss and the head of another team. They hate each other. I get along with everyone and I know the functions of both departments so I do most of the communications between the two. I'm totally neutral. In other words, in…
  • Monday I spent crying. Tuesday I spent raging. Today looks like a shaking kind of day, but we'll see how my meeting with the C-levels goes. This has been an extremely bad week. :/
  • CW: 162.6 A new record low. So, so close to that 155 healthy weight border. It's taunting me worse than when I was trying to get under 200.
