  • Or so a few friendly mega-corporations out there would like you to think!
  • Commonly known as: being hungry. Traditional diets dating back 100's of thousands of years? Traditional in terms of post-agricultural? Okay, but we evolved over millions of years into who we are by consuming a high ratio of animal fat to carb. You say appetite control as if it's an inconsequential triviality. If caloric…
  • Sure. For example, eating 20 lbs of bacon per day exclusively will not result in weight loss. Conversely, people get skinny when held in detainment with little to no food for months and months. But there's a middle area too. Personally, I'd like to find a sweet spot where I can burn stored fat, while at the same time not…
  • It only requires attention because of the vast amount of contrary education, conditioning, media, marketing, and availability that confronts us every day. And “so much attention and effort”? Really? You pee on them. As you are peeing already. Hardly an effort. Not sure how you justify modern available food and ancient…
  • You got this 👍
  • 😬 Lemme know!
  • Confirmation of ketone level is an indicator that your nutritional intake is in balance. Ketone production is dependent on a high fat to low carb ratio. Without this ratio, our bodies burn glucose from carbs and sugar instead of drawing from fat supplies. The notion that all calories are the same and that you just have to…
  • Awesome. Lemme know how you like it 😉
  • Hi!
  • What macros are you targeting? Are you logging EVERYTHING you eat? Don’t worry about negative comments here. Ketosis is our natural state, and will contribute to overall weight loss.
  • Hi!
  • Same same. Add me too!
  • Hi! I just joined recently. I’m doing a Keto thing these days. Add me if interested! Happy losing!
  • I felt the same way! But trust me, after you add the butter, cream cheese, salt and pepper from this recipe, it’s gonna taste just as good as mashed potatoes! In some ways I think it’s even better, which I never would have believed before trying them. Mashed cauliflower Ingredients 1 large (or more as preferred)…
  • What are you having trouble with?
  • Hey! 🙂
  • Cool! Let us know how it goes. Remember that our ancestors have fasted on and off for one reason or another for over 2 million years, right up to about the industrial revolution. So you'd have to work pretty hard at it to fast "outrageously"! 😬
  • Welcome back! Great work getting back in the game
  • Awesome! Welcome to the party ;) What's your strategy? All the best! Add me if you'd like :)
  • I joined a couple days ago... Add me if you'd like!
  • This is my other favorite delish dish. It's basically shepherds pie (ground beef or lamb, browned onion, carrot, peas) with a layer of mashed cauliflower on top (instead of traditional mashed potatoes). Message me or met me know if you want full recipe. It is sooooo good! And it's a perfect leftover meal for a few days.
  • Ha! I JUST made a batch yesterday! So happy. 😬
  • Thanks again! (also looking at recipe builder...)
  • Well I have a very close personal relationship with guacamole, so avocado and I get along just fine 😉 I also love to keep fat bombs around to satisfy sweet tooth and snack cravings. Try this link, lemme know if it works: https://carbmanager.page.link/pUMqd2FF32XdnWVa7 Yeah salami is great with any cheese, nuts, or on a…
  • Ok, alright now... this is better! I don’t want to sound like a hater, but I wish I could add the meal and adjust qty all in one step. But this works! Thanks! 🙂
  • Check out the movie Fasting, available on amazon prime. Great info in there. I agree with kimny72 in that your body knows exactly what to do when you fast! In general I only eat between 10 am and 8 pm, which gives me a 10 hour eating window (12:10). When I was trying to lose more weight, more quickly, I went to an 8 hour…
  • Hi! Add me if you’d like to share Keto tips and recipes! If you haven’t yet, check out Magic Pill on Netflix. Great background and very inspiring. I also really like Fasting on amazon prime video. Great movie. Don’t let the title scare you off! 😉
  • Hi! I’m new here, so feel free to add me for recipe, tip sharing! 🙂
  • Ok, so I created a Recipe with 2 eggs and 2 sausage links. Then I created a Meal and added that recipe item. Next I went to add food to my diary. I select either the Recipe or Meal of this item and add it. But if I try to edit the qty, I can only change the global serving qty for the whole meal (see pic). I don’t seem to…
  • Hi again! 😉 Ok I checked out Goals. Pretty limited supplements there, so I think I’ll just add to coffee routine or something, as you recommended. I also noticed sugar listed in goals, and set to 65g! Yow. That’s like a week’s worth! Where does that number get used by this app? Is sugar counted as carbs in my daily…
