Good morning. Lana, good job with the walking. I'm averaging 4-5 miles a day right now without jogging-- sore ankle, bad cough still (I think it's a post-Covid thing; getting better just in the last 2 days, thankfully). Allergies and injuries are the bane of my existence. I'm trying to find something that will fill me up…

Happy Monday. My last "summer Monday." I'm not officially back at work until 8/17, but I will be so glad to gain early access to my classroom and rosters, etc., by going in next Monday 8/15. There is always too much to do and no time to do it. It seems to be getting a bit cooler here---fewer days in the mid 90s, evenings…

I was able to fit in some L tops--used to buy 2X so that's nice to see. I used to be a medium, so perhaps I'll get to that soon. Down to 14 in some pants; 20W was my largest. Gotta mark the milestones; I'm not great at that.

I'm clinging here. Not up to speed for daily log in/posting, but I haven't checked out entirely. Busy with dogs--last week before school/work resumes. My daughter arrives 8/11 and it's always harder for me to lose weight when my kids are with me--guess I'd better figure it out. She plans to stay (although I don't assume…

Only 300 cals left at 1:40 pm--although I have a jog or long walk later, so that will give me a few more. I only got about 4 hours of sleep and ate "breakfast" at about 4 am, haha. Lana--maybe a pool or lake somewhere -- with Cabanas preferably, haha. Stay cool, all. And remember it could be -40F before the wind chill, so…

Hey, all. I've been so busy--had 2 days with my eldest and then saw him off, and a friend arrived the next day. She and I spent a lot of time hiking--in the heat. I loved it but the day after she left, I slept 4 hours during the middle of the day. I was exhausted! We ate out daily, too, and I don't track when that…

Good morning all. Still doing ok here--not 100% back to my best efforts, but PDG. I knew some of my weight was water from chips, etc, so I dropped 4 lbs pretty quickly. When the last of the junk food junkies leaves (2 left yesterday; safely home, thank God), I'll be able to get back to 100% effort. Lana, are you still in…

So the Red Tri is Jem, now 5.5 months. Skye is a nearly 3 y.o.

Lana, good job. You will motivate me to get out more. Sara, I agree with Lana--your work environment seems outrageously hostile. I don't know how you take it. Missy, sorry you've experienced the same. I am starting another new job this year--one year at a middle school under the belt, and now back to high school. My…

So many good suggestions. One I don't see--breathing routine. Start by just counting how long you are breathing in, then out. Then after a few cycles, see if you can start to slow your in-and-out by a 2nd or more. Work up to 8 seconds in, 7 or so out. Once you reach this point, add in holding your breath for a count of 8,…

Good morning. Day 1 of re-start is in the books. Sara, I feel for ya. We have incredible humidity here in Charlotte--not quite as hot but not a lot of fun either. Today is a jogging day and I will be dripping wet before I finish one-third of my jog. Do you also have humidity there? Have a good day, all. Maureen CW 189 GW…

Hi, all. I should have stuck with this when I restarted last time--March? But, I am realistic--major illness in my family and I have been sick twice, once with Covid! I'm up about 10 lbs but ready to log and plan and get back to walking more (the jogging is still happening, just so slow and not very far). I have my new pup…

My NSV--coming back here after almost a year has passed without weight loss. I got down to 179 at the end of last summer and am now 191--not freaking out; just getting back on the plan. I am still down 54 overall and that last 50 will happen.
-
@ladychr0nic, thanks. I'm doing ok--not logging regularly yet, but getting there. Down a couple lbs that was due to water weight from the types of foods I ate when my sons were visiting. Well worth the few days of "gain."

Lana, so good to "see" you again. Here's a pic of Skye and then one of the puppy coming around 4/01/22. I don't have a name for him--I hope I'll know his name when I see him. Grief is definitely love with nowhere to land. I miss both my parents so much, and I expect I always will. I'm lucky to have 3 children and 4…

My laziness trumps almost all urges to overeat on high calorie foods--I don't keep them in the house at all, and I have to go get a single serving if I want something. It's a PITA to have to get in the car and drive somewhere for something I don't need, anyway. This worked well when my kids were young and didn't bring…

Thanks, Sara. I am getting close. Lana, where will your cruise go? Can't wait to hear more.

Hey, guess who is back? I've maintained my "round one" weight loss for about a year and am ready to lose my last 50. If you remember me, you might remember I lost my mom last April and moved to Charlotte in July. I've had quite the year. I left for spring break on 3/24/21 and returned home 4/29/21, after mom died--I was…

Hello?

Sara, when you've talked about where you live and the rain, I pictured you in No Ca--where are you that it gets that hot? I've had 103 in WI once, and a few 100+ otherwise, but wow. That's miserable. Lana, I LOVE the lettuce scoop idea. Now if only I can remember it when I have my own home again! Lynn, sorry about surgery.…

Oh, and I'm finally weighing less than when I left for spring break, and the long stay in FL to help with my mom. I miss her.

Lana, how nice your sister can come. And hello! I keep saying I'm going to be consistent--and I am, consistently NOT consistent on here. I miss it. After closing on the house on the 14th, I've been in a hotel with various kids and dogs :) Skye is awesome but Radar was a barking, nervous wreck. Only here a few hours each…

I took the dog for a 1 mile walk first thing this morning--before coffee, even. If nothing else, I've accomplished that today--and despite being so darn hungry (long story) and eating 2/3rds of my cals already, I have enough left for what I planned for dinner--plus some, WHEN (not if) I get my jog in after work. I haven't…

Sue, sorry to hear about your struggles. I hope you have an excellent prognosis after all that. My sister has had breast cancer twice now, after weight loss surgery, so she hasn't been well in quite a while. I think she is finally turning a corner, though. So I have tremendous sympathy for you, with weight issues and…

Lana, I'm not familiar with any of those terms, but they are delightfully expressive. And I plan to arrive in Charlotte around June 30, with July 1 being my move-in date. I've been working today and walking Skye for a bit of a break from the screen. In person tomorrow and hoping someone shows up. It's so boring without…

Good morning, friends. Sara, what were you watching? I'm always looking for my next British crime drama. Lana and Lynn, it's always so nice to see you on here. @jsiricos: You may know this, but I'll mention it in case you don't. When you lose weight quickly, some of it will be lean muscle. Your body won't go back to…

Lynn, they are adorable. How fun. Sara, I hope it was a great day without the Monster. Closing went smoothly--big check, so I drove straight to the bank. TTFN.

Greetings all. I am finally finished with things I need to do in the house--but the list of things I need to do for my new job keep growing. I have been so tired, not eating well, not sleeping well, and little exercise (moving doesn't count b/c it isn't what I need to feel good and to relax). BUT--it's all over for a…

Tracy, that's a lot of work. Good for you for stepping up. I had a busy day, working, taxes, packing, jogging. I've been waking at sunrise so I had plenty of time to get everything done. Still tiring. I should sleep well tonight. I have 4-5 boxes to get into the pod to move, and then just need to pack my car for nomadic…

Happy Mother's Day to you and/or your mom. I was back on the wagon this morning--5 lbs up since I left for FL and Spring Break on March 25. Lots of exercise but I ate cake 1-2 times a day for at least a week. And today, my son brought me a piece of cheesecake as a Mother's Day gift. I enjoyed it. I'll just have to wait…
