My winter bike. Heavy, chunky tyres and mudguards - Good training though!

Brilliant weekend of cycling. Hilly 3 hours yesterday including some of the world championships circuit from 2019. I bumped into my OH about an hour from home and rode back with him, a bit faster than I'd have ridden back alone. Today was gorgeous blue skies and no wind so I headed up into the dales for a 4 hour ride. To…

105km outside today, felt so nice with warmer temperatures and less wind than yesterday. Even warm enough for an outside coffee/cake stop. I opted for shorts and legwarmers - the legwarmers stayed on but it was still nice to more away from the thicker tights.
-
Similar to @Lietchi I hit my numbers and keep an eye on protein but other than that I eat what I fancy.
-
Outside! 3 hours today, planning 4 tomorrow when it will hopefully be less windy. Trying to decide whether it will be warm enough to switch to shorts and legwarmers or whether to stick to the tights.

I've been on Zwift all month so far due to the weather and my winter bike being in the shop awaiting a new brake caliper, but I got the bike back today and the weather for the weekend looks tolerable to go outside. Fingers crossed - I need a change of scenery!
-
Cycling 5 days a week usually. 2 rest days but I try to get out for a gentle walk if the weather's ok.
-
I seem to have spent the weekend on Zwift. 2 hours including a race on Friday night. 3 hour club ride yesterday. 4 hour gran Fondo today. Tomorrow is a rest day thankfully!
-
My January ended up being 2/3 inside, 1/3 outside. 47 hours total. 241 miles across 5 rides/16 hours outside and the rest of it on Zwift. Hoping to get outside more in February, and my battered winter bike is being serviced this week so hopefully it will feel a bit nicer to ride!
-
Only my second outside ride of the month today, but I got a decent 4 hours in. I still had to stick to main roads to avoid ice/slush but at least the worst of the snow has melted. I've done lots of zwift time this month and while it serves a purpose (particularly for riding with groups of clubmates which can't be done…

No centuries for me either but I did ride abroad and it was my biggest mileage year ever (not the most time spent on the bike, but I've got faster ;) ) Kicked off 2021 with just under 50km this morning.
-
FTP test for me today. I've been having a break from structured training for the last couple of months so it was down a bit, as expected, but only back to where I was in around June and in a much better position than this time last year so still in a decent place.

A couple of big rides into the mountains for me this week - 120km with 2600m of climb and 128km with 2100m. In between I've had some easier rides with my dad so it's been a nice mix. Not looking forward to going back to the cold and dark on Saturday!
-
I'm spending some time with my dad this week (for the first time since February due to travel restrictions) so alternating between fairly easy rides with him and longer steady rides into the mountains. It actually works quite nicely because I'm very much at a low intensity/base stage of training and don't want to overdo…

We have the same meals but he has extra snacks. I have no idea how he does it - he is lighter than me (even now I'm at GW) but whereas I'm still counting and weighing, he just eats everything in sight and never puts a pound on. Grr.

I hope you're ok! Scary! My OH did similar once, although he knows how he did it. He was doing cyclo-cross skills in the park, practising jumping on and off his bike. He failed ;) I came home later to find him sitting on the sofa. He told me he crashed, I asked how, he told me. I asked whether he rode or walked home and he…

I've been a bit quiet this month - an end of season break with a holiday in Devon in the middle. We took bikes with us but only did relatively short rides for the most part as I was meant to be having a break from riding ;) I also took a break from calorie counting and ate plenty of pasties and scones. Today winter…

Rest week for me so far but I'll be back on the bike tomorrow. We're on holiday next week so I'm hoping to get some good rides in.

Hilly ride with my OH today (was meant to be a club ride but they got suspended while the club checks the new local lockdown rules and rewrites it's risk assessment). Windy and cold but we managed 110km at just over 26kph on a hilly route which was pretty decent. And takeaway pancakes on a bench in Pateley Bridge. There…

I cycled to work today as I had to sort some things out in the office. I used to do it every day but it was my first time since march. It might be the last one before next spring too, the way things are going. Short and easy, but a nice change to the usual WFH routine.

2 hour club ride tonight. Wet and cold - autumn is definitely coming!
-
Speedy weekend for me. Yesterday was my last TT of the season - a 10 mile vets race with a full field and some (non vet) reserves. 25.12 for me with average power of 246w for 2nd woman and 1st vet behind one of the reserves who is 18 and rode the junior road race in last year's world championships. I'll take that as a win!…

Club ride for me last night - I stepped up a pace group and did just over 2 hours at 18mph, mainly feeling pretty comfortable. You definitely go faster in a group! That was my first club ride since lockdown for various reasons, but I'm going to try to get out with them again next week.
-
I'm lucky that my OH is a cyclist too. We don't always ride together but can go out and do separate rides at the same time as a break from spending all the time together WFH! 30 mile TT yesterday. I didn't feel like I quite got as much out of myself as I'd like but my Garmin said this so I guess I didn't do too badly...
-
2 hours on the TT bike this evening, 58km.
-
I have provisional results - they're wrong, but I know how they're wrong (some people, including me, were set off a minute after we should have been, so our times are a minute out. We have until tomorrow to let the organisers know if we're affected and then they'll update and finalise the results). It shouldn't affect my…

I went into the office for the first time since march. Someone said "you're TINY!" I've never been called tiny before!
-
My next job is to get more aero!
-
First open TT since last september today. I don't have official results yet, but I got a new 20 minute power PB and a new Garmin V02 max. Just under 25 minutes at 3.8 w/kg. Not much racing means there were plenty of strong riders racing so I don't think I placed even though my time was faster than the winning time on an…

Turbo on Wednesday (2x30 at FTP - ouch!) and today, but I got out for a proper ride last night. A couple of hours, the first 90 minutes or so was fairly easy but I bumped into my OH on the way back home and he dragged me up a hill about a minute faster than I've ever done it before (I reduced my best time up it from 7.48…
