Hi @gary92067 and welcome! I'm really interested in the above statement in your post. Can you tell me where to find the results of the trials or just flesh out a little for me what the findings were (i.e. what kind of diet and what sort of lifestyle changes)? Thanks in advance! I also have HBP. My doctor fairly recently…

@n2gardens56, thanks for the tip! I'm going to look for that locally first and then on Amazon if I can't find it. :)

@Fishwishing, I have the same problem. At home we eat vegan because my husband has microscopic colitis and if we eat vegan he has no flare-ups. The only time I get meat is when we go out to a restaurant to eat. He usually has a vegan dish and I have whatever the menu has to offer. :) It is difficult to eat enough protein.…

@lynnchristy, I like your posts; they're very upbeat. :)

Someone in a post above said they feel your main and biggest problem comes from drinking. I'd have to disagree with that, although that is a problem. I think your main and biggest problem comes from an obsession surrounding food consumption and the drinking/purging is a secondary related problem. Please, please, please…

@bacpath, I have the same reaction when I have ANY kind of alcohol - I immediately crave sweets. I never crave them otherwise. It doesn't seem fair that we should have to give up both! :'(

@Fishwishing, sure, I'd love to. Okay, the only mandatory challenge is the weekly weigh in - just like it sounds. You weigh yourself at the end of the week and enter it into a spreadsheet. Points are given for weight loss, BUT no points are deducted if you have a gain. Then, we have additional ongoing challenges -…

Hi all! This is a really great group to follow. I get a lot of encouragement here and it's nice to read about people in one's own age group as our problems/troubles and victories/triumphs are all so similar. I also belong to another group called the "Lose 1 Pound a Week and Keep it Off 2020" group, here on MFP. So far,…

@LenGray, Thank you so much! Just copied the mac n cheese to my recipe file. :)

I second that - especially the pumpkin mac and cheese, please! :)

@MaltedTea, very well said. :)

@jalapenojo, What about a one piece that looks like a bikini with mesh inserts or a monokini that covers the front?

That's a great idea with the laps and catching the ball. My husband and I like to watch movies on DVD in the afternoon. We got two 12" high step stools and we step up and step down until we get tired, then we rest and start all over again. By the time the movie is over, we get about 1 hour of steps in on our fitbits.

I saw this on my Fitbit group for seniors and thought it was funny:

Hello everyone. I've been reading all the posts here and this seems like a great group. 60 years old here. I noticed a lot of questions about NOOM and got curious myself so I looked it up. Here's a good article from Good Housekeeping about the pros and cons of NOOM:…

You look great and you look so happy now! Great job, good for you! :)

@cupcakesandproteinshakes Thanks, I'll go to the website and give it a try. :)

Could you list a few of the better ones, please? Total newbie here.

I use a little cheapy electric coffee grinder to grind mine. :)

Why were the last two posts by @NovusDies and @apullum flagged? Seemed like good advice to me and nothing inappropriate was said that I could see.

Hi @jenniferkaye22! Perfectly good question. I'm fairly new around here and have been "lurking" through the forums looking for good advice. Read everything you can by @AnnPT77. This lady KNOWS what she's talking about. (Sorry, @AnnPT77, I guess that makes me your stalker). Following her advice just since 01/01/2020, I've…

Thank you. I've wondered about this too and you've explained it very clearly. :)

Salt bagel. I know, I know - water weight. Don't care. Eaten as is, don't even slice it open. Pick it up and eat it like a donut.

Gotta love the Python! :D

Blender/chopper for me. I have a VitaMix and use it every day. My daughter has a 1000 watt Ninja blender/chopper that she also uses every day. Chops up vegs for any use, makes hot blended soups, makes perfectly blended smoothies. If you plan on eating a lot of vegs in salads, soups, or smoothies, this is invaluable.

Click on the poster's profile name that you want to add (to the left of their post under their picture). A box will pop up showing that poster's info. Click on the poster's name again and their profile will pop up. Click on Add as Friend. You'll be able to write a short message to them if you'd like. Usually a good idea. :)

Try one of these, or several. You can tweak the workout by your choices on the right-hand side. https://darebee.com/filter#sort=position&sortdir=desc&attr.ct10.value=lower-body&page=1 Have fun! :)

Bacon Ritz crackers - a whole sleeve. My daughter is eating them in front of me right now.
