Is "simple" considered average? I don't have a ton of shoes, a lot of fancy clothes, wear a lot of makeup, need to be wined and dined or taken to exotic locations, I only require minimal attention. I just want respect, loyalty, honesty...and a mean foot massage.

I could not agree with you more! I see this way too often in my profession. Adult children making decisions for their parents against their own will... or what they believe is in their own best interest. If they are in good cognitive health and can make their own decisions about where they want to live etc. - let them.β¦

I agree 100 percent! I don't necessarily always have the time to interact with a lot of them, but I admire quite a few from the side lines...mostly at night when I can't sleep and I just come here and read everyone's thoughts and try and figure out .... I care for people that suffer with Dementia/Alzheimers. I was in there trying to locate old photo albums to do some memory care activities with them. :) Not the answer you were expecting, right? π

Remember that time when you went into your clients closet and it was creepy and dark and suddenly you hear a loud "psssst" and you're blinded by something and your arms start swinging cuz you think you're being attacked but suddenly it smells so beautiful and you realize it was an electronic air freshener π
