  • @cowsfan12 I’m having such a good chuckle at your questions! It’s some good harmless fun😊 Let’s see, tats are sexy if they’re on a sexy bod. Suits are sexy if they’re on a sexy bod. Jeans and tees are sexy if... you get the point.
  • Go ahead, better to ask forgiveness than permission

  • Yay, book people! I love us. I just finished Warrior Soul by Chuck Pfarrer. I like seals. I like adventure. I like badasses. Next one up is the Beach. Yes I know all about Leo DiCaprio movie. It’s the first thing I hear when I say I’m reading it.
  • If you’re into nerdy sci fi like me, the Expanse series on amazon prime is awesome! Five seasons. Get going!!
  • I got banned from next door, too! Cheers! I chose the moniker Johnny Utah and some Karen just couldn’t take it
  • It’s such a peaceful life once you get off Fb and Insta. All they do is encourage you to kill precious time and compare your life to others instead of being ultra grateful for the life you have! I stopped all that stuff about six years ago (Fb) and two years ago (Instagram) and I have felt more satisfied and fulfilled…
  • Walking with some 40 second sprints mixed in where I try to run as fast as I can to boost my calorie expenditure! I’ve been doing that for close to three months and throwing in ab exercises to tone up that 47 year old mommy mid section. I have come to LOVE my walk time so much. Music pumping in my ears, dirt under my feet…
  • I think shortgirlrunning is correct in saying you should only eat back some of the calories because it seems you are overestimating your calorie expenditure. I do a run/walk hybrid daily for an hour and yield a 500 calorie output and still only eat back about 350 of those calories just to account for MFP’s erroneous…
  • Hey there, you look awesome but I know what you mean since I’m always looking to firm up that part of my body too! I’m 47 and I hear you loud and clear! I’ve been having excellent results with Chloe Ting on youtube. She has a video called the 12 week challenge that is ten minutes of constant back to back ab workouts and I…
  • Yay for homeschool moms! I have two grads and a junior, doing so since they were in kindergarten. I’m trying to get lean again at 5’10, 155. I want to get to 145 ish. That’s where I feel strongest and light on my feet as a walker/ jogger. I’m beginning to feel like my body has a pre set weight in mind for me bc I cannot…
  • I use the Pacer App when I do my daily walk. It tells me my pace, calories, mileage and then I log that number into MFP. My base calories are set to 1400 but the exercise gives me about 450 more. I will eat all the calories back if I’m super hungry but most of the time I leave 100 or more in the bank
  • Yes, I’ve had great experience with slim fast in the past. I did their plan drinking a shake for bf and lunch with snacks in between and instead of a “sensible” dinner, just ate what I wanted. Though I lost weight quickly I ended up ditching the shakes after I got to goal and used fruit and veggie smoothies in their place.…
  • I use the App Pacer and click GPS to accurately gauge my exercise calories and average speed. Whatever it tells me my calorie expenditure is, I log that into MFP and then eat back only 75% of those calories. I’m not losing very fast ( 4 pounds in five or six weeks) but if I cut any more than that I will be too hungry. I am…
  • Hi. Don’t try to “ not eat your exercise calories.” That will definitely keep you starving. Your metabolism is revving and needs those calories or else you’ll go into starvation mode and your metabolism will die. I always eat all my calories from exercise minus maybe 50 or 100 but if I want them I eat them all!
  • A really great tip another member gave me is to set your activity level to sedentary or not active and then log your exercise. That will keep your calories low enough to lose weight while giving you a little boost of excitement to see how many “extra” calories you can eat. On a non workout day you will just stick to your…
  • Make sure to set your activity level at low or lightly active IF you log your exercise every day. Otherwise MFP will give you too many calories to consume for weight loss. Even when I log my exercise I try to NOT eat back all my calories (150 or 200 calories left over) so that I don’t slow progress until I reach my goal
  • Hello! I just learned a valuable tip from another helpful member that I’ll pass on to you. If you want to see progress make sure to set your activity level lower than you feel your activity level is. Example, if you feel you are very active then set it at lightly active. Then when you add your exercise for the day you will…
  • Frezisha, make sure you put your activity level into MFP as low activity or even lower, like sedentary, if you’re going to input your exercise calories. If you don’t, MFP will set your calorie requirements too high and you will not see progress! I’ve just learned this the hard way by following MFP’s calorie allotment for a…
  • Dancingmoosie thank you for your reply! That’s exactly what I was doing!”
