Good tip ty! I can't believe I went for 45 years without ever using it! It's like the invention of sliced bread for me lol. :D

Ty. Oh, one last thing that I discovered late in life: use parchment paper on those sheet pans--makes for a quick & easy clean up afterwards! So much better than foil: food doesn't stick to it and it's way more cost effective than foil.

No x 3 today.

Thought provoking post, Ashley, ty! Hmm, I didn't think I was overly successful at this, but as I think a bit on it I guess I have 3/4 main strategies for keeping a busy work week in check: meal prepping on Sunday, carefully thought out grocery shopping to allow for some quick meals and some calorie wise snacks & sweets,…

Yes to exercising, no to the other 2.

Thank you for this interesting post; I've often wondered about the history of this day but never bothered to investigate it. It was a good read. Yes to exercise, no to the other 2.
-
Well done @Mrs_Hoffer! I love your meme in the opening post also :) Yes to exercise, no to the other 2.

Interesting topic @jmu1965; I've never heard of this before. I am saving today's discussion and will have to come back to it one day. Yes to exercising, no to the other 2 goals.
-
Good topic @Mrs_Hoffer! Last week I focused on getting out at lunch and walking every day while being present in the walk (for mental health - deliberately not thinking about work). This week I am continuing that goal and adding focusing on logging everything I eat (and trying to stay within calories). But mainly I need to…

Yes x 3 today. Today's post is significant for me because my journey has been a lot of ups and downs. But I've spent the last year replacing a lot of my past poor coping behaviours with some better ones. Having come through a rather stressful few months, I can see that I have made progress. I am definitely on the upswing…

Logged all today, but I did go over. No exercise today; it was a beautiful day for a walk but I had a bad night's sleep and saved my energy for food prepping, cleaning up the kitchen afterwards and folding & putting away laundry. I try to stay hydrated by drinking herbal tea throughout the day (I don't like plain water). I…

Mar 15/22 - No to logging, no to staying within calories, yes to exercise. My NSV was given to me by my daughter today - perfect timing. We went for a walk on a park that has steep hills. The last time we climbed them I was 10 years younger. My cardiovascular & lung health is better today as well as my endurance, even…

Congrats @biketheworld, @MadisonMolly2017, @TerriRichardson112 & @victorious55! The opener is very encouraging for me. I am 1 year 10 months in and still have only lost about 16/17 pounds but like you @biketheworld I was at a point where every year I was gaining. I've definitely been working on "radical habit/attitude…

@TerriRichardson112 Sorry about your rotten day, congrats on DED's 52nd birthday. Yesterday I walked and did arm exercises. Today it was a rain/snow mix, and since I couldn't do arms (supposed to have a day of rest in between), I decided to do some ab exercises. After work I did 20 minutes on the indoor bike. Mar 1-6…

Mar 7/22 Ate some cookies mindlessly and by the time I realized it, I over did it. So I skipped dinner and walked some stairs until I broke even. I think I'm still over (guesstimating on cookie calories since they were given to me in a reusable lunch container and I don't know what kind they are). I will take the win today…

Not a perfect week, but still a good one. Week 1 Mar 1-6:🚶♀️💪🚶♀️🍀🏠💪 Week 1 Mar 1-6:🙏🙏🙏☘ 🙏🙏 Thnx for the info @themedalist.

Ty for a great post today @makattack220! I don't have much time to elaborate tonight but I am and have been working on mindset, habits, different coping mechanisms, changing thought patterns, changing behaviours, etc. for over a year now. I still have a lot of work to do but feel I have made huge strides from where I was a…

What does success mean for you this week? For me, success this week will mean taking a lunch time break to do some exercise. One day will be a strength routine and the next day will be a walk outside but focusing on being present during the walk, not lost in the stressors of work.

Happy Monday fellow UAC pals! Even if you can’t physically see the results in front of you, every single effort is changing your body and mind from the inside. Never get discouraged but just keep moving forward. Remember to view your journey as the trend of a slope line. Maybe a few blips, but overall, you are…

Inspiring post today @lesdarts180, ty! I really should move more. Tried it out today while doing housework: made a few extra trips carrying laundry from the top floor to the basement. I'll try it out this week too. Yes x 3 today. I was tempted to give in to eating too large of a supper after yesterday's binge but I stopped…

Welcome @biketheworld!

Off the rails yesterday in all areas but back in control today! Week 1 Mar 1-6:🚶♀️💪🚶♀️🍀 Week 1 Mar 1-6:🙏🙏🙏☘

Inspiring opener Julie, ty!! @jamcnewman Went off the rails yesterday Mar 4 - hub bought ice cream drumsticks for a treat and for some reason I got it in my mind just to eat them up and get them out of temptation's way. Ofc this led to the whole day being out of control. Asked him nicely today (again!) to treat me with…

@TerriRichardson112 I got a laugh out of: "I am a person who regularly indulges my inner child". Good for you!! Life is more fun that way!

Condolences with your loss & I hope your back gets better. Please continue to show up; no judgement here. We all find that when we consistently show up and post regardless of whether we made the daily challenge, we eventually start to get with the program. Mar 3/22 Yes x 3 today. Got out at lunch break for a walk;…

😄 And here I thought I was the only one who does things like that!

@Mrs_Hoffer Tysm, you are so sweet as well as instrumental to my recent success. 💖 Ty again for all you do for our group!

@TerriRichardson112 Ty for an inspiring opener. I screenshot the I Choose poem for future reference. I hope you have a good visit @Winner_in_Life.I feel for you.

Yes x 3. My exercise for today is just strength training but I am counting it. The goal is to get that to be a more natural activity for me; if I did the video consecutively it would only be just under 13 minutes of mindful exercise. In the past, I would substitute a 20 minute walk rather than do the strength training. So…
