  • My sodium is almost always over. If your eating over 2000 calories probably more like 2500 if your closer to 400 lbs your always going to be over. Ive more than doubled my sodium before. Just try not to exceed your calories that mfp suggests and the weight will come off. Also try drinking beverages with 0 calories or close…
  • I've been logging everything too even if its bad. Also make sure the food entries are accurate. I love seeing the 5 weeks prediction and know that I'm making progress.
  • I started because I had poor sleep. I couldn't breathe very good and was told I probably had sleep apnea. I lost the first 20lbs very quickly and a lot of the sleep problems I've had have about vanished. I also tired of being too big to buy clothes. I was wearing 5x and 6x shirts and had just bought a size 52in pant. I was…
  • my weight is steadily going down about 5 to as much 12 lbs in a week. Im averaging around 1750 calories a day. Im supposed to be eating 2330 im 314 lbs. After exercise everyday my net calories are around 1250. People think my weight loss is drug related or im drinking too much that flushes everything out. The drugs I take…
  • I wasn't going to walk today because it had just been raining. My roommate said if I was to go for my walk i probably had about an hour before the rain started back up. I said I would probably take today off since I'd only taken one day off in two weeks. He let a little laugh out. I thought to myself I am gonna go for that…

  • Thats a good idea. Im not going to bring it up to anyone. If they ask I might tell them that I'm still sticking to it. Im not going to tell anyone anymore my weight or how much I had lost this week or in total. Im just gonna keep grinding.

  • I lost two more lbs today and my roommate said im going to the bathroom a lot and it must be a side effect of the bupropion im taking for anxiety and mood disorder i have and thats why im losing so much weight. I had just started taking it when I started my weight loss. I had been off of it for three months. But I had been…

  • I'm 41 and after 13 years of not caring how I looked i reached my breaking point. i had just gained 12 lbs in 2 weeks to reach 382lbs. I was told I probably had sleep apnea. I kept waking up every hr to 1.5 hrs and would eat a lot of times after getting up for the 3rd time. I dealt with this for at least 6 to 8 months. I…
  • keep up the good work. I almost got to 400. Reached 382lbs but am only 5'10. I've lost 67 lbs now 2 days shy of 3 months. Im at 315 really wanting to get below 300. Been over 300 for 10 years and am a marine veteran who used to be around 188 lbs when I was in really good shape.
  • keep up the good work. Im relatively new started logging in for 45 days in a row. Not so worried about the percentages so much as to make sure I get a good protein source every meal and try to keep my fat under 30%. I try to keep 250 calories or under my goal and with exercise im usually in a deficit of 700 or more. If I…
  • I lost it when after I told a coworker I've lost 35 lbs in 6 weeks by dieting. She said your not working out thats being lazy. You need to ride a bike. It was hard for me to do much other than walking since I was morbidly obese at 350 lbs and only 5'10. That was 6 weeks ago and I have been doing long walks and body weight…

  • Be sure to be under your calories and log everything accurately. I make time to do a brisk walk everyday for about an hour which is a good deal for me and I burn about 450 calories a day. Im still morbidly obese at 317lbs down from 382lbs just shy of 3 months.
  • Exercising will really help with your mood. Try doing a brisk walk while listening to some music that will keep you motivated. I used to only walk for about 8 to 13 min. But once I could breathe easier I can do walks of an 1hr to 1hr 20 min. If I want to and it only took a few weeks. Plus it will help with your calorie…
  • the diet is crucial. I work in a pizza place and used to eat pizza everyday. I haven't had any in about 3 weeks now. No pasta or chicken wings. I'll have a salad but am careful of what I put in it and use a little dressing. I make sure I bring healthy snacks and protein bars and shakes with me to work. One of my coworkers…
  • I started by just dieting and luckily the first two weeks I dropped a lot of weight which kept me motivated but have been going for long brisk walks everyday along with my diet and the weight has started coming back off quicker. You must meet your calorie workout goals or exceed them and be in a modest calorie deficit and…
  • I'll be your friend. Ive lost 65 lbs in just under 3 months. I started at 382 lbs now 317. It sucks for me sometimes when I still have a long way to go but I have to know as the weeks and months go bye ill get closer to my goal weight of 225. I had very low energy and was developing sleep apnea due to my weight and poor…
  • A lot of people have doubted me or probably think I will give up. It sucks when you have lost over 60 lbs and hardly anyone can tell. I got depressed today when I looked at my body with my shirt off and realized I got a ways too go. But I know if I keep on a year from now ill have a much different body and then I can work…
  • I'm sure the bupropion helped boost my weight loss. The only side effects are if you take too high a dose it can really mess with your mood if something triggers your anxiety. It can also pick your heart rate up and some times make it harder to cool down. Other than that I take two doses during the day of 150 spread out…
  • you can do this. I used to think when I ate the wrong things or had some high calorie days I f***d up my diet. That's simply not the case if you log everything on mfp and after a bad day you only gain 1.5 lbs after 5 weeks if you eat that way everyday. Where when i have good days it will tell me I will have lost 17 to 20…
  • I feel great today. Im down to 320 down from 382lbs in only 11 weeks. I've been logging everything I eat and I have not been perfect but have been losing 2 to 7lbs a week. Can see my body changing shape and can feel some muscle. I have been in the 300's for almost 10 years and can't wait to be under and try to reach my…
  • I'm 41 I have been logging in for about 40 days in a row. I have lost 60 lbs in just under 11 weeks. I still have 97 lbs to go. Started at 382lbs when I hit my breaking point and decided I'm all in in a new healthy lifestyle.
  • There could be some weight gain. I have gained some on latuda but am now losing while taking bupropion.
  • I lost 26 lbs in the first 16 days. I was starting at 382 lbs eating 1300 to 1700 cal a day. One day was only 900. Weight loss slowed down when I began eating 1900 to 2500 cal. Mfp currently has my calories at 2420 with a 2 lb a week loss. I'm now down 47 lbs to 335 at 2 months.
  • Today is 2 months for me. I'm down 47 lbs but started out at 382 now 335. Trying to get below 300 in next 2 months.
  • I'm 340 lbs. Mfp is estimating a 17 or 18 lb loss in 5 weeks but I've lost 11 lbs in 10 days now for an avg of a lb a day.
  • I'm sort of trying to do the same thing. I'm older being 41 but was in a very similar situation. I was 382lbs on may 20th and have lost 38lbs so far. I'm shorter than you at 5'10. I've just been able to breathe and get a good 40 min walk in which I used to walk only about 10-15 min. I am concerned about the excess skin and…
  • I think you should cut back on the weights. You need more calories for weight training.
  • I just had it. On may 19th I weighed in at 382lbs. Afraid to get up to 400. My weight had jumped 12lbs in two weeks and my quality of sleep and energy level was very poor. Would wake up every 1 to 1 5 hrs through out the night. Couldn't stay asleep more than 2.5 hrs. I probably had a bout with sleep apnea because of…
  • My weight dropped so fast because I stopped eating garbage and sugary drinks. I stopped eating pizza every day at work. I work at a pizza place. I did almost no exercise. I did cut my calories way too low the first week averaging around 1400 cal. I'm supposed to be eating 2470 for my weight loss of 2 lbs per week. The…
  • I'm one dealing with mental health. I am schizoaffective and have depression. I started back taking bupropion at the same time I started dieting on may 20th and have lost 35 lbs in 6 weeks. I am a very big guy starting at 382 lbs. The first two weeks I lost 26 lbs.
