Welcome @BlueSkyNomad! I survived my first foray on the bus to the office and I made it through my first tabata class today. I was exhausted and discouraged after the commute home from work and there is an ongoing blizzard but I didn't let it stop me from trekking out to the local elementary school gym to sweat for an hour…

I've already logged breakfast and I promise that won't be where it ends for today. Today won't be as much planned movement but tomorrow is my first tabata session with the program my municipality set up after I get to bus into the office for the first time ever. It's going to be a long day and I'm being a bit childish…

I need a weekend to recover from my weekend! Who else feels that way?!?! I played in a women's senior recreational hockey tournament this weekend and it ended up being 4 games with a break in between the first two where hubby and I decided to go for a 3 hour ATV ride through the mountains. I ended up wearing a helmet for…

I forgot to weigh in! Not as crucial but if I want to switch back to the regular team in February, would this week's weigh in be my starting weight for February or next week?

@jugar hubby was on hold for an hour and 20 minutes with the health services but managed to score an appointment cancellation with our assigned medical clinic today and they've diagnosed him with otitis, an inner ear infection. He doesn't have any fever associated with it so they found that strange, but antibiotics are…

@DD265 you have put so much into your home. The 'what if' game can be so hard. There's pros and cons for both moves. I don't know if the UK does it but here in Canada we can 'port' our mortgage to the new property and only pay an increased blended rate on the additional borrowed amount for the larger property. Not all…

@jugar so many people are having problems with their ears after covid or colds this holiday season. My hubby has had blocked ears for over 2 weeks now. Decongestant pills weren't working so we got him flonase from the pharmacy and it's been helping. All the tubes and sinuses are connected so even though your nose is clear,…

Vikki! @Gidgitgoescrzy Good to see you. How's your back? I still have a quote I stole from you written on my wall: 'I won't get stronger by crying over it'. It's a much nicer version of 'Suck it up, Buttercup!' that I tend to have rattling in my brain when I get down on myself for quitting on workouts because they're hard.…

@ashleycarole86 have you tried voltaren? I find it helps with my joint pain. Ice packs are great too, just don't leave it on too long. Frostbite is real!

CW 193.6 Was much higher a couple of days ago but the ice maker is fixed and we're back on track with water consumption. We've had about a foot of snow fall so far but hubby's taken care of most of it while I took care of a sewing project for him. Thw snow will continue until tomorrow so I'll be sure to burn some calories…

@conleywoods hugs to you. The waiting is the worst. Thoughts are with you.

@jugar I'm glad you're finally getting your snow! I'm not looking forward to the shovelling, but I will enjoy the calorie burn. I just hope hockey doesn't get cancelled like the last storm. My weight this morning was right at the upper limit of my maintenance range and I've noticed thoughts when plating my meals that…

@jugar you're lucky your weather yesterday was snow. We had a light dusting and then a half inch of ice arrive at our end of the province. We're now getting another dusting to make everything extra slippery. Fun! Hockey tonight was a slog. We had our butts handed to us and I blocked shots with parts of my body I really…

Wait a minute.... It's Tuesday. My weigh in day is Friday. I weighed in this morning because I had a rescheduled hockey game last night and I always weigh in the morning after hockey... With the holidays messing with my internal calendar I lost track of the day of the week. I know it's the third.... But that is was…

CW 195.4 Strike one! Maybe I will be back on the regular team sooner than intended. Going to turn this wagon around right now! We have one more day off before going back to work so we're driving into Montreal to take the mother in law out to dinner before we drop the step-daughter back at her mother's. I'm going to try to…

Hi Team, I'm Courtney from Val-des-Monts, Québec. 42, married, 2 and a half cats, no biological kids but one 17 year old step-daughter who's with us on the occasional weekend. We live in a house that has turned into a mega renovation pit and we're slowly plucking away at the to do list. Christmas eve had us mixing and…

CW 193.6 Hi team! Sorry I ghosted this entire month. I hope to have a spare few hours to go back and catch up and to meet all the new team members before kicking off January. I'm still maintaining in the upper end of my goal zone and the arrival of a ridiculous amount of snow in a short time span has kept the calories…

CW 192.0 So I lied when I said I would make time and catch up on all the posts last weekend. Here I am, a week later and I still haven't read past page 1. Ayoye! I miss you guys in my head and I will do my best to catch up. Weight still holding steady, so that's a win, and the snow has arrived so the lazy season is over.…

Hi team, I'm super late to the game this month and haven't read any posts since the opening of the chat thread but I will have the time this weekend to finally catch up. I'm Courtney and I'm currently in a maintenance phase that has come about from a plateau I've found myself in since spring of 2021. I haven't gained back…

@DianaGetsFit512 this exactly the space to vent. I feel offended on your behalf that your moment of pride over your exercise was taken from you by hurtful-under the guise of helpful-comments. Every person's metabolism is different. You are making positive changes in your life and we are here to support you. Your journey is…

CW 193.0 Sticking in my maintenance range with a tiny loss from last week. Our household has been sick all week so there's been a lot of sitting around on the couch but I also neglected to do much shopping so there haven't been any bad snacks in the house to overindulge in. I bought one bag of chocolates to go in the…

CW 193.8 Thank you Hockey for sweating me back down into my maintenance range! (no turkey here... Who's got leftovers?) 😉 @conleywoods that's got to be so tough to balance those situations at work without letting it weigh on you mentally and emotionally in the other aspects of your life. Hugs. @KellyBgetsfit hugs going…

Wow! that looks so great. Good job

I am a person who exercises in the evenings.... Except not when I already overdid it with other energy sapping activities during the daytime. I need to find a balance. This weekend's project was to paint the master bedroom and that has now spilled into the week as the walls were in much worse shape than expected and its a…

@DD265 real animal beavers! The seasonal shift of wildlife has happened and we have a solid dusting of snow so you can see the deer tracks along the road. The muskrat was swimming by this morning and our ice rink has started to freeze up. I'm super surprised that our great blue heron doesn't migrate so he's still flying…

CW 195.6 I have popped above the top of my maintenance range due to general laziness with portion control, eating salty takeout for dinner, and hockey being cancelled last night. I keep 'winging it' but if the number doesn't creep back into range by next week it's back to tracking and intentional exercise. (the shovelling…

CW 193.8 Getting to the top of my range. Portion sizes are to blame along with being in the 'in between' season where all the rock work is done and the snow removal hasn't started yet. I will rein it in and work on getting back to the lower end of the range. I made new friends at hockey last night and they've invited me to…

CW 192 @jugar I'd like to withdraw from the team competition and declare I'm in maintenance. This is me, this is where I'm going to stay. My maintenance range is 185-195. I'm happy here. I'm going to focus more on what my body can do and less on what it looks like (although I'm pretty happy with that too) I'm going to…

Hi team, I'm late to the game this month. Sorry I haven't reintroduced myself or caught up on the last 6 pages of the chat. I'm Courtney and I joined this wonderful team in August 2020 after a serious bout of self-indulgence during Covid lockdowns resulted in my gaining 25lbs on top of the extra I had already been carrying…
