I basically don't. I choose very active vacations (hiking! paddleboarding! Biking! dog sports! whatever) and just let it go. Last year I think I gained 3 pounds in a week. I had smores, bottles of wine, chips, candy, pizza - whatever. The activity being somewhat wild offsets it some but honestly it is so rare and so…

No. I mean maybe but it's usually kind of insulting. Not 'let me grab the door' but 'let me carry that you'll drop it and it'll break' stuff. Or 'that's too far/too difficult for you'. Or the paddleboard guy deciding I could not get my own board onto the dock (?) So if it's just helpful it's coming with compliments that…

This is one I truly did not expect, but is definitely not just in my head because my husband has noticed. I am more fit and capable than I have ever been but at goal weight people have started treating me like I'm going to break/can't do things on my own/am some kind of incompetent. It is very, very strange and I hate it.

2-3: 123.9 I think I'm back to my actual baseline now. LOL.

5'5" 44 years old CW: 126 Goal weight: 120-125 Last week was a wild one. I gained and then dropped 6lbs of water weight over that week so. Mostly just letting this ride out, getting back to my norm and seeing where things go.

I have gained 7lbs in 3 days of agility trial. Guess how sore I am/how much sodium I've eaten. Go on. Guess. (I havent done well calorie wise or tracked even loosely but ain't no way I ate THAT much extra, LOL) Anyway, month end: 130

Oh, I'm not bored in general just aware I'm not posting anything exciting. My fitness routine includes some resistance stuff, my fitness level is fine. It's just pretty... consistent to the point that not a lot is changing. I'm fine with it but my posts arent' fun rn :P

The 'gain a little, lose a little' thing has been some kind of minor revelation to me. I'm in maintenance now. So I get up to 126-126 or so, then restrict calories with a small deficit, drift down to 122-123. Rinse and repeat. Realizing it's just a cycle of life - even with calorie counting and portion control/exercise…

For my calorie reduction in pot pie I honestly just skipped the bottom crust. Yeah it's different but it works and it's stilly tasty and I still get some good crust with each serving

So, I last posted in June (and 25lbs heavier) and I feel the need to come back and say: For losing weight diet was where it was at. And having a calorie budget meant that I focused extra hard so that budget kept me healthy and feeling good and not starved. I really do have to admit though that now that I'm not just a…

'm just maintaining, but this is my favorite group/way to do it. 5'5", 44 year's old GW: 123-128 or so (Ie: 125, give or take a little) 1-3: 125.1 1-10: 124.8

My only real goal this year, as far as concrete (as opposed to 'maintain my weightloss, live a life I love') is to get my oldest dog's gold achievement cup in agility and my youngest dog started.

I'm just maintaining, but this is my favorite group/way to do it. 5'5", 44 year's old GW: 123-128 or so (Ie: 125, give or take a little) 1-3: 125.1 I got up to about 128 immediately after the holidays - mostly water and food contents, but I've been off my game re: nutrition for a solid 2 weeks, thanks to multiple christmas…

It's off for me too. It's the hazard of calculators basing their numbers on averages. I am maintaining right now at about 1900-2100 calories a day. MFP thinks I should be eating about 1700 to maintain at 125 and 5'5". Individuals vary, and that's okay -- but it means your own math/results will also be the most important.

That kids clothing is a lot cheaper than adult clothing of the same size and often a lot more fun. A girls XL and women's medium are pretty close to the same size but the girls comes with WAY more unicorns, LOL

I have a strong, vivid, memory of early on in my weight loss journey going overboard at some thing or another and feeling really, really, overfull and finding that feeling *comfortable* and *pleasant*. It made me sleepy - and you know stuffed feeling - and I LIKED IT. Over full these days just makes me feel terrible and…

I'm with Anne in thinking a 'this is normal/I am normal/IS this normal' is likely a lot of it.

We're all biased by what worked for us. For most people on MFP... that's calorie counting and general guidelines. -- Me, and my 70lb loss, while eating lots of carbs and MORE than the calorie limit MFP assigned me.

I gain 4 lbs between getting up in the morning and going to bed again on MOST days, so yeah. Totally possible.

The only time I have gotten UPSET as opposed to just kind of over the drawn out 'reveal' (covid, I had a lot of people I was seeing the first time over a 6 month period) is the person who told me I lost too much weight and was prettier 20 pounds heavier. I am very sorry I am failing to be decorative enough for your…

I think my thing is mostly that I still have some mental hang-ups around exercise. I exercise, but for me it's all... play? I paddleboard, swim, hike, trail run, horseback ride, hike (long and hard ones), play dog sports and recently have taken to climbing stuff. Those are ALL exercise of various sorts some of them pretty…

I... mean sort of? I am always striving to do better at the things I love doing that are also active. Those aren't things that have a 'as hard as it will ever be' though - they're basically sports so my performance can ALWAYS improve in both technical/skill ways that are benefited by fitness Difficulty/challenge for the…

From the op: Should i cheat these whole 2 weeks Or be on it before January 1 That? is a question.

New Lesson, from maintenance; If I don't do some at least half-hearted logging... I keep losing weight I no longer want to lose. Meaning, yeah, I need to continue to do rough logging (all I did to lose, either, I'm pretty accurate) because now apparently I UNDEREAT if I'm left to my own devices. I NEVER thought I would see…

I mean in general but also I DIDN'T WANT IT. I'm sure that Christmas will fix it, LOL
