  • Still cleaning up from the flooding in my apt last wk & wondering how long I'll need to keep all my belongings in the middle of each room, so I can keep the window paths clear... they need to replace windows, sometime soon. When? That's a mystery. Until then, my apt resembles a Goodwill.
  • A reminder to myself...
  • Nothing too embarrassing. I did a Webex interview wearing a proper button-down shirt & suit jacket. When I needed to reach too far away for my calendar to check availability for a follow-up, I briefly, half-stood up & caught a flash of my pink running shorts in the camera. It feels necessary to dress that way, since I have…
  • Homemade tomato sauce, store-made sausages & a lettuce-radish salad with lemon-oil dressing.
  • I'll have to look through the whole thread, cuz your dinners are lovely & inspiring. And, beautiful collection of plates! Your meals look fantastic.
  • Looks delicious. You've given me an idea for dinner next wk. Lovely plate, as well.
  • Homemade chicken soup, with (don't read for the squeamish)... my fave, lots of hearts & stomachs.
  • I NEED TO RETURN TO JOB SEARCHING AFTER THE WEEKEND. REST UP & GET MOVING!
  • Although this thread began in 2016, I'll add to it in the event others are wanting to revive it. I'm in Palm Harbor, just N of Tampa, on the canal.
  • What should I bring? Sabrett's hotdogs (NY's fave), Middleswarth potato chips (my fave) & a hearty IPA (your fave)? Our 4th is beginning now... been hearing fireworks going off in the wee hours of the morning, next to my bldg, for a wk now. With the pic, I don't know what scares me more... dad lowering his shorts, mum &…
  • Oh, ewww. Sorry. I'd run like a lunatic, after kicking him in the shin.
  • Pickle sandwiches were a thing back in the Depression days. I'm not that old, but we were so poor, I thought sugar sandwiches (bread, butter, table sugar) were actual candy, until I began going to school. We also ate mayo sandwiches in harder times. Makes ya appreciate a pickle.
  • Happy Thursday!
  • Lol. Maybe some disagree as they don't have any tasty libations at home. I haven't gone shopping this week, so I don't have any either. I may have to Disagree, as well...
  • Don't know if it counts, but I'm currently listening to the audiobook, "The Whisper Man" by Alex North, while walking. It's a thriller, not my usual genre, but his soothing voice is pleasant to listen to... should be finished by the weekend.
  • Well, not if you live in the white zone... so, in the advertising world, they'd say 'no', because they do technically, offer free shipping. To consumers in the grey zone, yeah it's not honest. Maybe small print could say "to some areas".
  • Beautiful job. Looks like you've put a lot of thought (& labor) into the design. Well done. Lovely house, as well.
  • Deciding not to go down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories Re: John McAffee, who was just found hung in his Spanish prison cell. Fresh tat saying $Wacked, a day before Tweet saying if he's found hung, it's murder, others saying he's "Q"... nope, my tired brain can't take anymore conspiracies this year. I prefer…
  • Scrubbing on my hands & knees, like Cinderella. Turns out my apt windows leak... 3 out of 6. Not a little, but as if someone tossed a couple of buckets of water onto the floor. On the good side, at least I found out before July-Aug, the 2 rainiest mos in Tampa. After 2-days of trying to scrub this dye stain from the vinyl…
  • TY so much for looking it up for me. I'll check it out & post back in a day or 2.
  • All of my siblings have different dogs, who are good hiking/walking/running dogs, from chihuahuas (yep, they love to run on-leash) to Boston terriers to big dogs like German Shepherds, chows, huskies & AU Shepherds. The key to me seems to be that all were trained. And, I suppose personalities differ for different dogs,…
  • Oh, okay. Well, I'll check into that & see if I can do it. Thank you. If it automatically deletes the "normal" steps per day, then that would be great. TY kindly. I'll reply when in a day or 2 when I have a moment to check it out.
  • Really good points. I guess I won't bother syncing it. I just want to keep track of walking as in exercising, which I can easily do via min & speed... I was more curious as to how many total steps I normally take daily. I'll just record the walks as I normally do. TY for your reply!
  • Lol. I recall a boss beginning every weekly meeting chastising those who used the phone for too many personal calls. The bleedin' dolts, who were the ones she was indirectly addressing, would look around the room, smile & nod furiously. We all knew who they were, but, said dolts did not... they assumed there were others…
  • Well, lately, the only dealbreaker for me is 80-yr old men in golf carts fancying me & asking me out for dinner... I'm assuming to a FL early bird special. No offense, seniors, but what on earth are you thinking? I have to stop food shopping at noon, prime time for the above 70 sect, I guess. Maybe they think I'm a nipped…
  • From the Odd Files, Robert Downey, Jr. made a 2004 debut album called The Futurist. This song, Man Like Me is a slow song, sung by a Jon Bon Jovi meets gravel-ish voice. I can't imagine anyone, but his most ardent fans bought it. This seems to be about the time he cleaned up his act from drugs & jail time... the song's…
  • Why do only harem builders contact me via Friend request? What are they doing & why do you need 1,751 friends, all women, all in bikinis or showing cleavage/feet & how on earth do I fit into that? I'm confused, truly.
  • Karen emails... where's my refund, I didn't get my 2-for-1 deal, when will x happen, etc. Fortunately, I know how to Karen with a Glenda the Good Witch tone. Have a good ending to your weeks, All!
  • SE Palm Harbor, on the canal... come on over! Sorry to hear about the hurricane in PG. I was living in Boca when Irma hit in '17 & the entire 'hood was annihilated, so I understand... I lost everything. I left 4-mos later, the day/time the Parkland shooting was happening. Been an eventful decade. Enjoy your family…
  • Better yet... you can have the critter... & the apt. Good luck!
