I missed a rather large book in between my last two, I also read The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen. It was great, I will be reading more by this author. Electricity just finally came back on so I might not be so distracted from my current book. It was out from 8:45pm Thursday to 5pm Monday.

I read Deception Point by Dan Brown and it was ok, not super. Maybe I wasn't in the mood for the genre, and the book is getting dated. Now reading Esrahaddon (The Rise and Fall book 3) by Michael J. Sullivan as I wait patiently for the electric company to get our wires fixed after Thursday night's tornadic activity.…

Hello there, I am Doug. I like to listen to audiobooks along with my kindle, it reinforces my concentration on my reading so I can retain better. I read often but not as much gets read this way as the narrator is at speaking speed and we can read much faster than that. But I like my way best. It's nice to meet you. I'll…

This one was a bit disappointing, having enjoyed Neal Stephenson in the past this one just didn't come up to par. Now reading Farilane (The Rise and Fall #2) by Michael J. Sullivan. Book 3 just came out this week and I want to read it soon, then I will be almost all the way caught up with this author.

One of the steps is moving. If, when moving house, 2/3 of the boxes are books, and those are the heaviest boxes by the way, you will reorganize. You would have thought I would learn that lesson in 2015, but of course not. I am now slowly shedding books from my collection, for every few kindle or library books I try to get…

I read Winter Tide by Ruthanna Emrys, it was pretty good. Now I am on book 2 of the Diogenes Trilogy (Agent Pendergast) by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, Dance of Death. These Pendergast books are not great but sometimes I want a 3 star fluff read.

Weed pollen is high here. Seems early in the year for me to be having allergy issues, I can't wait (really I can wait) for ragweed this autumn. I'm finishing my Michael J. Sullivan series this evening I believe, unless something comes up. Book 6 of 6, Age of Empyre.

He is the translator for Cixin Liu (or properly, Liu Cixin, no relation), who is a Chinese author of The Three Body Problem. Ken is an American and has won the Hugo and Nebula prestigious fantasy and sci-fi awards for short fiction. Interesting, I thought Cixin and Ken were related because of the similar name. I'll bump…
