If you are signed up for a marathon in the fall I would recommend that you work mainly on building up your mileage. Pace will come only once your comfortable running longer distance and when training for your first marathon your mile time isnโt really something you should use to gage expected results because the race is soโฆ

@astod4 I would say if you have a good amount of base running you can start adding in some intervals. Just try not to do too much to soon (easier said than done). Just keep the big picture in mind. thatโs the million dollar question. ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ I have tried a lot of different shoes and was surprised the ones I like best are Nikeโฆ

@astod4 I would recommend you start out every other day with 3 slow paced runs and one day where you try a longer distance. Donโt be afraid to use a run walk method or slow your pace when you first start out. Iโd also recommend you consider foam rolling and stretching. Make sure you get the right shoes, have an expert getโฆ

Hey everyone, got in some more miles again this morning. Working towards 300. Legs feeling fresh and planning a long run on Sunday again. Really enjoying reading about all of your running adventures even if I donโt seem to be able to keep up ๐๐ have a great weekend everyone

@SwtHedgehog Reading this the entire time I thought that was helpful. I know Iโve offered โsupportiveโ comments to other runners and have always considered them coming from a positive place. Itโs entirely up to the listener on if itโs positive or not. I guess my thought is that itโs nice to see people out there workingโฆ

@jmolina1920 so I do run everyday, but the key for me to not get injured is to make sure a lot of my moles are at an easy/ relaxed pace. This keeps me healthy. Iโm not saying itโs for everyone, but I know itโs somewhat common. A lot of people with too streaks that last several years. Just need to balance your runs andโฆ

I use the Aftershockz Aeropex open ear headphones. They stay in place well plus you can still hear things happening around you if you want to ๐๐

Got in a relaxed 7.5 miles today. Legs starting to loosen up. I wish there was a short cut for getting rid of tired legs after a long run. Tomorrow should be back to more of a normal feeling. Trail ultra is only 4 days away ๐๐

Got in my long run on Sunday. 20 miles at a relaxed pace. Now only easy running until recently. Easy 6 1/2 miles this morning. Only easy Miles until race day.
