@kevrit Thanks for posting your Menudo Soup. I've never made that. Below is my Potato Soup which I had today. Below that is yesterday's Minestrone Soup. The kids are having a blast. They love my soups and right now, they are putting in their two cents for the next day's soup. @dlfk202000 End of the rain for you means 1-2…

@cityjaneLondon "It took me a long time to appreciate what she gave me. Sometimes it is so much part of who you are, you can't see it yourself." Sadly, I know I have a lot of my mom in me. My hands look like hers. I've caught some of my dirty looks in a mirror and was shocked at what I saw. Other than physical features,…

We raced our boats down that river until they soaked so much water they would drown. We kept up this paper boat chase until the boats were gone or the water had dissipated. It never lasted long. The funneling torrent, which had covered half the street, ran off quickly in our desert terrain leaving us wet and happy.

It's pouring out here in NV. For us this could be the storm of the season. So, I was listening to the rain and wondering how children could come to play in it without worrying about getting wet. It made me think of my childhood when as soon as it started raining we kids would start making paper boats. We were very creative…

@cityjaneLondon What a wonderful complement that you think my writing is, "beautiful." Everyone has been so positive about my story that I am warmed. I truly means a lot to me that you all took the time to read it, like it, and say so. Thank you! @skuehn48 Your tenant is nothing short of scary. As I read your post, I kept…

If you read my last post, posted this morning in January's feed 😬, I mentioned my 97 year-old grandmother. Well she fell, broke her hip last night, and is going into surgery at 3:00PM today. So much for not wanting any more procedures. Michelle in NV

@Snowflake1968 Your Birthday Card is beautiful. @Machka9 Stunning Little Bibi @kymarai Migraines. Don't get me started. I'm so tired of treatments that don't work, and now I'm out of medicine till I go back and see the neurologist again. He was suggesting Botox last time I was there. I'll let you know if/when I go. I'm…

I've been missing for a few days, and I started to read all the posts I missed, but you all are prolfic. I wrote something for Lisa, and realized that I could be here for a week trying to catch up. So I've decided to give you one big hug for all the sorrow I missed and a giant thank you for still being here. I'm going to…

@LisaInArkansas I'm glad you like my photo. Feel free to use it. It's mine, not pulled off the internet. I love taking photos. I used to help manage a photo contest room on CafeMom. It was really fun. We all would enter pictures for weekly contests and the winners would get a decorated picture, like a scrapbook page, using…

@exermom Michele, Well, I went through some of my albums, and whew do I have a lot of photos. They are fairly well organized and labeled; there's just so many of them. So, I pulled a wild pink cactus/flower that grows everywhere around here, and white flowers that I grew in a pot. I hope you like them. Michelle

@exermom @exermom Michele, Many cactus plants roots do run shallow. Most, though, do not handle winter weather for long periods of time. I'm thinking that a good cactus for you might be a barrel cactus of some kind. Of course, you would want to wrap it for the winter months as it is a very high water content plant. As far…

It's been raining all day here in the desert. It's still raining. There is nothing to soak up the rain here, so some flooding is always expected. It's actually raining so hard one of my dogs refuses to leave the house, and my two outside Great Danes are hiding in their heated doggie house. I have one silly dog who thinks…

@Machka9 I love that relaxation technique. I like to sleep after I relax, though. However, I use it after cardio as a cool down. I even have a VHS with one of the coaches saying the steps. I like that one because it's even easier to relax when you don't have to think about the directions. I should move the sound to a…
