Well yesterday it was very hot outside (37C) so I wore legging shorts, a sports bra and a sleeveless top. There are multiple fans at the gym but 5 min into the workout post-warming up my face was extremely red and hot and I wasn't cooling down enough despite sweating a whole lot so I took off my shirt and got instant…

@dralicephd slower reps. I'm injured so I can't do everything I normally do so when we did bicep curls the other day as an accessory I used a 7,5kg db and went suuuuuper slow on my reps. I could only do 3 per side at a time and my biceps felt on fire afterwards but it was majestic. If I'd gone higher in weight, I would've…

People do find weird things brave, like wearing red lipstick. I'm more scared of nude shades than reds. But fat people also get told REALLY often how brave they are for going out looking like that, for wearing shorts, for wearing colour. Maybe we think people wearing bright colours are brave but there's extra stigma, extra…

I didn't feel self-conscious putting my weight down on the laptop at the gym yesterday, which was in full view of everyone, despite weighing 30kg more than the second heaviest person on the list. I still don't want my family to know because I don't think they realise quite how high I let it get so I'm happy to share only…

I am very happy with myself today. No clue what I weigh and my measurements haven't moved down but my workout was fantastic, my lift got stronger, I now feel no discomfort whatsoever at training without a shirt and some more blind purchases fit! Legging shorts for the gym in a medium that are the slightest bit too tight in…

Oly class! It's been 37C outside but cooler at the gym, though I still had to take off my shirt 5min after the warming up. We're getting ready for my first weightlifting competition this Saturday so we had to work up to our startinh weight and then do that 3 times, with 5-10 second resets between. I still have my back…

I've always exercised a lot and managed to get to very, very obese (bmi 43ish) while exercising a lot. Then the pandemic hit and I stopped exercising but felt I needed to do something so I taught myself to eat fruit regularly as opposed to the 1-2 fruits every 1-2 weeks I was eating before. Since I restarted exercise last…

The best comments are about what I do at the gym and about my fashion style. I hate everything else. I hate "you must have so much more energy", I hate "omg you look so good" (never got those comments at this weight when I was gaining), I hate "I see you lost weight, wow". I like my body, I liked it when I was at my…

@CupcakeCrusoe congrats on the new low!! I'm not a huge brownie fan but you really know how to advertise them. I'm interested!

@Altariel75 I actually never had it so I'll be on the lookout for it! Thanks for the tip @sargemarcori oooh yum, that sounds delicious! @justanotherloser007 I've seen that brand around but never bought it because it's so expensive compared to regular yoghurt but now I'm very tempted! I'll have to keep my eye out for when…

@The_Fat_Optimist omg I saw the discussion about nutritional yeast but it just didn't click that that was a proteine source. Thank you! Oh that's too bad :( I'm still okay with eggs in cookies and such but I can't do sunny side up or scrambled or boiled unless I wanna spend 12 hours with severe cramping and hourly bathroom…

I was out of town from wednesday afternoon until last night so I only got a little bit of walking in on some of those days but I am back at it today with two workouts. The first was 5 rounds of 3 minutes of work and 1 min rest with no pressure to "be the best". We did 15 bench presses then cardio to fill the rest of the…

The scale is down for me too! 123,5kg which is the lowest since spring 2020 or possibly even winter 2019-2020. I'm officially down 14,5kg and only 1kg away from the 2nd obesity category. That's 32lbs in 5,5 months. I am aiming for 0,5kg every 1-2 weeks now since I'm going to be exercising more... I can already hear some of…

Oh the scale did go down another kg from yesterday despite a bunch of factors that tell me I should be up instead of down but I don't wanna credit blood, sweat and tears for that

@PAV8888 thanks! I'm sure you have insightful things to say that I'd value if I were in the right headspace and I appreciate that you recognise that now is not the time. 😊 the hugs are very welcome

@AlexandraFindsHerself1971 I've read some of your posts over my months here and you make miracles out of nothing, the way my mum did when we were growing up. I hope you and your family's situation improves quickly too! You're so kind 🥺 I'll definitely keep it in mind!

I'm so not caught up on this thread but I have had the worst start to my summer and I just need to talk about it. I am changing jobs in september and I found a really fun one but the pay negotion went horribly and everyone keeps bugging me about it and I feel awful about it. I already have confidence issues so my new boss…

So despite eating in a surplus yesterday (tons of štrudla sa makom and Chinese food) and being on my period (and very bloated from it) and weighing in after breakfast because I forgot this morning, the scale said 124,7 or 124,8kg! My mum's scale is actually very easy to read even though it has little lines you have to see…

I bought some summer trousers from a store I never succeed at without trying them on because they were pretty and on sale and they fit! They're stretchy and the size I am in my head, which is about 2-3 sizes down from what I should be according to my measurements, and they look really nice. Very pleased!

If anyone of you has a Dille & Kamille store near you, their loose leaf tea for iced tea is amazing. I've been using the apple one and the strawberry one for years now. Delicious. I'm at my mum's now after a long and unpleasant journey. I didn't get in that walk yesterday but I had to lug around a heavy suitcase, including…

The scale said 126,6kg this morning. It's a digital one so it tells me stuff after the comma too. I'm surprised it's down since I had another short night but oh well. My lowest recently recorded weight was 124kg and that finally got me over the 30lbs lost treshold, yay! I learnt that each obesity category is 15,3kg/33,7lbs…

@CupcakeCrusoe thanks for the tips! If I find them I'll try those. My usual emergency proteine solution is chugging some milk or eating some kwark. My mild egg intolerance is getting worse so I'm stuck with plant-based stuff and dairy stuff mostly :( Pole control sounds awful but super necessary so best of luck surviving…

Yesterday I tried a whey protein shake for the first time and it was even more disgusting than I expected. I'm a picky eater but I don't know how people can stomach that stuff at all. It was from body & fit, something choco coco bounty or something? Gross. I had two sips and couldn't continue. At least I didn't pay for it.…

I took the gymnastics class for the first time! They typically focus on pull up varieties, handstand stuff, double unders and core strength. I can't do any of it but everything is scaleable so I only skipped the hip flexor raises because of my back. It was a 12 min emom. On min 1, 4, 7, 10 I did a 30 second pike plank (vs…

I was forced to go to the gymnastics workout instead of the regular one by my schedule today. They typically focus on pull ups, handstands, handstand walks, handstand push ups, double unders and core strength. I can't do any of those things but everything is scaleable and I had a really good time! Luckily, the coach…

Is the problem that you hate the way many types of food taste? Is the problem feeling full? Or is the problem not knowing enough about calories? If flavour, you could try to eat more of the stuff you do like or you could try those miracle berry things. They could help make food taste better for you. They've been used with…

I took off my shirt in the middle of our workout because it's really hot today so I was wearing sportslegging shorts and my sportsbra and I didn't feel self-conscious or awkward. And afterwards I walked home the 100m with my shirt in my hands because there's no way I was putting it back on. And everyone was cool with it.…

My meeting did not go the way I wanted it to but I still am getting €400 more (pre-taxes) per month from september onwards and it's gonna go up by another €200 pre-taxes from march onward. Not too bad but it was the least they could do legally so it still sucks that there was no room for negotiation. But maybe I'll just…

10 min emom of power snatches. The first 4 min I did 2 power snatches at 63% of my 1rm snatch, then the second 4 min I did 2 at 69%, and the final two minutes I did one power snatch at 75%. I kept it low weight because of my back. We were supposed to do 70-80-90%. Then overheae squats. These hurt my wrists more than usual…

I have a really weird answer that works for me but might make things worse for others. When I am having a really bad day, I think of stuff I have to do that I hate and will put me in a bad mood that I've been putting off for a while because I didn't want to ruin my day with it. And then do it. All the stressful, scary,…
