That I now understand why all the people here complain about the drivers. They aren't D.C./Virginia Beach bad, but they are their own brand of terrible, offensive driving. :s

A bowl of shoyu ramen, takoyaki and some green tea.

Irked when a movie sounds interesting on the little blurb on the back of the case but then quickly devolves into a convoluted, silly mess.

Slowly working my way through a glass of green chile wine. Colorado is weird, man.

It's you.... again! Hi!

I kick my husband in the butt to get him to roll over. We're talking "he snores so loudly I have to wear 33dcb ear plugs and I can still hear him and it vibrates the entire bed and not in an enjoyable way" kinda snoring. :s

When you have an itch, so you go to scratch it, but it remains itchy.

I am enjoying the smells coming out of our kitchen as my husband cooks... tacos! Couldn't wait until Taco Tuesday, sorry, not sorry.

Ngl, this kinda bums me out. I only have the one child. Is this what I have to look forward to? He definitely is my PiC right now, although he's really branching out. I haven't reached disgruntled teenager whom I enjoy embarrassing stage yet.

Has flagging become the new Dislike button since we don't have squishy bowling ball face to voice our discontent with other random strangers online?

That despite how long I've been drawing/painting/crafting, I still very much feel like an imposter. I just never feel "good enough" at anything, no matter what I do or say, especially compared to others who have been doing this a helluva lot less than I have. I know this is a pretty common thing for creative people to…

Getting ready to run a couple of errands. I know, terribly exciting.

Day 2: Akugyo - a giant fish capable of capsizing sea vessels that originates from Okayama prefecture.

Looking up the info and references for my Day 2 sketch. :)

Unofficial Inktober Day 1: Decided to draw Japanese folklore and mythology for my drawing practice this month. And yes, I am resurrecting my old, dead, thread. Feel free to pass on by if it doesn't interest you or contribute your own sketches! Akkorokamui is a giant octopus-like monster who is said to reside in Uchiura Bay…

Thanks! Definitely a labor of love.

Watching The Lighthouse. Spoooooooky.

Related note: My son's school district has decided this year to implement professional development hours in the middle of the week, at the beginning of the day. This has led to a lot of dual working parents (and teachers) struggling to find childcare for their children during the two hour late start on Wednesdays. I had to…

Trying not to freak out about how everything in life always piles up on my family at once and how unlike a lot of other people I know, I've never had the opportunities or openings they have to further their careers or grow as people. It's frustrating and making me a bit resentful of existing currently.

... when this place was more active. That's a bummer as the active community is what keeps many engaged. Another thing I remember: The warmth of old vinyl on my father's jukebox. Sure, there were pops, crackles here and there, but ultimately, the sound quality was special and nostalgic.

I don't either. I have Instagram and other social media, but don't really have a following. I do it for me, so I can improve. I haven't done any large scale projects in a really long time, mostly because I haven't had an art desk to do them out and I'm too old/creaky to sit on the floor anymore and do it like I did in…

Am I allowed to commiserate? I feel this in my bones. <3

Mostly contemplating how to participate in "Inktober" this year. There are a lot of different prompts from all sorts of different artists and I haven't decided which I want to utilize.

Hey, I found my old thread! I thought *some* of you would like to see the finished Blanket of Potential Regret! If not, you can happily skip by. Lemme see projects you've been working on!

Thanks! Hoping for better outcomes this go around and working toward lasting results. <3

No, we were supposed to go to S. Korea, but they pulled the orders to do so at the last minute and kicked us from the program for "no fault of our own" (their words, not mine). Kinda used to getting *kitten* on, thrown around, etc. and missing out on opportunities. Story of my life, sadly. Crochet is still going well. I…

Reliability; cleanliness.

Getting ready to drive our son to school; unpacking boxes (again!).

When the world seems to conspire against you; you know, the "when it rains, it pours" method of dumping bad things on someone? Story of my life, lol.

Not sure if any of the people I knew when I left are still here, but I am back (fortunately/unfortunately). So hello to people who knew me before and hello to everyone I don't know. B)
