@Born2Run1958 - way to go! Keep it up and see how that physical shakes out for you! Also might check out Best Days NA beers...good taste (at least to me) and around 60 calories (depends on style)

@sollyn23l2 and offer two valid points...make it measurable in terms of actually calories consumed (yes - buy an inexpensive digital scale (~ $12 on Amazon) and be diligent to track consumption for a couple of days to see what you are actually taking in)...and you could very well have put on some muscle from your workouts…

@walkintofit - knowledge is power. Tracking and measuring has helped me realize where diet falls short and then I research how to address. It was part of my reason to experience a dry January as I was consuming quite a few calories through alcohol because I had never given it much thought. Old habits die the hardest!…

Jan 2025 AF - 27 A - zero, nada, zip - 0 Sunday weigh-in was encouraging...another pound gone and also broke into a different weight range for me (< 180 lbs...Kind of like paying 19.99 for something instead of 20.00... :D ). I have a Fitbit that I started wearing in December and I like how it ties into MFP to give you…

@Womona - thanks for the kudos and yes...the powdered fiber in water is quite an acquired taste...more like an 8 oz shot of sludgy water at the end of the day! @SurferGirl1982 - glad to hear power back on...and thank you for the invite for AF February as well as your tips on protein and fiber sources! Will certainly…

Jan 2025 AF - 21 A - 0 Quick update...working on 21 days AF (with the help of some NA beers....)...realized that the last time i went this long AF was over 35 years ago while on deployment...wow! Amazing how daily habits form and persevere over time. As for other goal - scale this morning has me 6 pounds lighter than…

@SurferGirl1982 - as @Womona mentioned, you know the reason why you picked up the pint and that is a small win....and you only bought a pint...another small win...use those small victories to carry you to more wins. You have a great deal of support here and we have all been there so absolutely no judgment coming your way…

Today will be 17 days AF (dry January goal) and after reading posts about changes noticed since going AF, I agree with them all... * Better focus * Improved sleep * No cravings for a beer or glass of wine (or bourbon) at the moment. (One thing that has helped me there is to also consider habits where I had a beer or drink…
