Happy Monday everyone! Scale this morning read 166.2, and also a 35.2% body fat. So I'm down 16.8 pounds and 4% body fat since I started. I had a bit of a crazy weekend (plumbing issue that caused a leak in our basement...on top of our finished bar). But I did not use food to cope. So that's also big. I buckled down a lot…

Home Chef has been a big hit with my boyfriend and I. We used to eat out A LOT, simply because it was easier than figuring out what to cook and the time to do it. So this solved a lot of our problems. But I can definitely see it being easier with out dietary restrictions. Hopefully it'll work out for you! And thank you! I…

I had put off cosplaying anything for a really long time because I always felt like I was too fat. One day I said f it, and I started with a Captain America USO girl. It was also my first sewing project I did without a pattern, so a big learning experience all around. I regularly cosplay as Black Widow now, but would love…

You guys continue to be awesome. Thank you! We did well at trivia. Only won one round, but tied for three others and lost the tie breaker. I had a giant cobb salad, and then some onion rings and french fries. Yesterday we did another home chef, orange chicken with jasmine rice and roast broccoli. So good. Today I'm up .2…

Apparently Wednesdays are my check in day. I might need to come to grips with the fact that I'm not good at daily posting. Anyway, scale was back down to 168.0 this morning, which makes a total of 15 pounds lost! It might be moving slowly, but it's moving. I also did a waist measurement this morning, and I'm down another…

Hey guys! So we wrapped a very successful show last week. I stage managed a production of Jesus Christ Superstar at a local theater. We had 1 sold out house and 3 nearly sold out. I wasn't as strict with OMAD for the week with running around like crazy. But I wasn't too bad either. The scale is still fluctuating a lot (I…

Definitely take measurements! When I'm feeling a little down about the scale, it helps me see there are other changes going on with my body for the good.

I failed you guys. Devoured the food too quickly for pictures. Even splurged with a cocktail. It was the first alcohol I've had in about 5 weeks, though I've never really been a big drinker. It was my boyfriend and I and two of our female friends. Was definitely a nice night to relax and eat. I'm also a little proud of…

Oh no. I hope your gout gets better soon.

We hadn't gotten much snow the last couple of years, but have been slammed with 3 nor'easters the last 2.5 weeks. But at least our power didn't go out this time, and it's actually warm and sunny out today so maybe it'll all start melting. I do enjoy snow, but more in January and February and not March. I work for a…

Back down to 169.4 today. We're in the grips of another snow storm here. Work closed, so me and the dog and the boyfriend have been stuck in the house all day. I did snack a little bit. Being home is always harder for me than being at work. But we had steak and mashed potatoes and mushrooms for dinner that was really good.…

Glad to hear he's ok! Sometimes the second day soreness can be even worse.

Your meals look so good! And I'm a carb queen, too. They're just so good, so I totally understand!
-
I am in the same boat. Feel like I haven't had a complete poop in over a week. But you're doing so well! I'm sure when your body balances things out you'll be at a loss.
-
With so many calories left to eat, you could have had a feast! You're doing amazing.
-
Isn't it amazing how stress can override good sense? I'm the same way and I'm working on trying to overcome that, too. OMAD definitely makes it easier, but still a struggle. You're doing great! Life gets crazy but you're working through it.
-
The craziness has continued with work and running around for all of these snow storms. I've been sticking to OMAD during the week, and more like OMAD and a snack on the weekend. But I've been within my calories, so I should be in the right track. The scale hasn't been my friend lately. I keep bouncing between 168.8 and…

But I bet it did wonders for your immune system!

Ooph, this week has been rough. Work has been crazy, though at least it's spring break for my grad program. Aside from Wednesday, were I felt ravenous and had 2 pieces of chocolate around 2pm, I've been sticking to one meal a day. My weight is back up to 170.8. But I'm not too worried about that. I've been tracking my…

Sorry for the radio silence, guys. We got hit pretty hard with that nor'easter. Our power was out for two days and the internet/tv for 4. But everything is back and operational! Which brought me right in to a crazy weekend of teaching high school kids how to do theater makeup, and then working on a web series on Sunday.…

Oh no, sorry to hear that! I hope everything is ok. That's the kind of thing that's always derailed me in the past. I used eating to cope with emotional stress. Take the time you need for you and to take care of things and then regroup.
-
Took me a while to read through your whole story. You are such an inspiration and doing so amazingly well.
-
That pizza looks so good. And I think that plan could definitely help. Live happens and things derail. The most important part is to get back on and not let a little derail throw you completely off.
-
Hot dogs sound like such a good idea right now. Might have to rethink my dinner plans. I think the weight fluctuations are super interesting. I'm definitely always impressed how much my body can vary between one night and the next morning.
-
Glad you're starting to feel a bit better. pneumonia is no joke. Definitely take care of yourself. I agree that your body could definitely be retaining water because you're sick. It sounds like you're on a good path. We're looking at an incoming snow storm, too. I really hope I we both get snow days.
-
Your food looks so good! And I think you've got this.

Had a girls night dinner last night. We made angel hair pasta (fresh!) with an olive oil, lemon, Parmesan sauce, with pan fried chicken strips and oven roasted cherry tomatoes. They also brought cheese and I am a sucker for cheese. Ate probably more than I should have, but don't regret it at all. Hit my 10k steps and then…

Sounds like your plan is working. And I think that's the way to do it, or at least what has been working for me. I like aiming for an average calories eaten per day instead of being super strict each day. I find I'm less likely to binge in general if I eat a little more on the days I'm hungrier instead of forcing myself…

That looks delicious. And 5 pound sounds like a plan. I think you're on the right track, of playing around with everything until you find what works for you.

What an interesting weekend. Power was out until 7ish Saturday night. So was not nearly as productive as I wanted to be. Wound up packing up the dog and heading over to my parents house since they still had power. They wanted to order out, so I had Tilapia Francese with spaghetti and a salad from an Italian place around…
