  • Go to the recruiters office down the road a little ways and JOIN THE NAVY!
  • Ok, that helps a little. How do you MFP adds "activity factor"? I would like to read more about it. But can you anser my other question also?? Im assuming the answer is yes but when they say burn 500 calories more than you eat everyday, is that including your BMR?
  • I think you can gather something positive from everyones entry but from my experience YOU have to find something that works for YOU! My bf suggested a low carb diet (43 carbs/day) and after about a month of doing that I didnt feel good, I felt weak, and honestly didnt notice a change in my weight/inches. So I decided to…
  • Hi Sam, Im Crystal. Nice to meetcha! Im in Florida but would love to be here for moral support :) Welcome to MFP, everyone here is very nice & encouraging, youll like it here! Good luck on your fitness plan :)
  • Ive got 122 pounds to go. Anyone in my same boat feel free to add me. I can use all the support & encouragement I can get at the moment. My ultimate goal is 163 lbs or less so I can join the Navy :) Gonna be a long hard journey but WELL WORTH it!
  • WOW! You dont even look like the same person. I am in the same boat you USED to be in. Started at 310, and now Im down to 285, got a ways to go but one day Ill be where you are :) Congrats!
  • I def feel your pain. My middle sister has always been a skinny little thing, it seems shes never had a problem controlling her wieght and eats the same as me, and we did all the same activities together pretty much. My goal is 163 lbs, Ive got a way to go but WHEN I make it Ill be smaller than both my sisters! Good job on…
  • ONIONS! Ever since childhood.... will vomit!
  • Yea, that sounds good. Taco Bell was a big reason for my weight gain I think, LOL, so I try to steer clear of them all together! But I am trying to be as precise as possible with my diet. I measure everything in either ounces or grams and track it religiously. Being conscious of what your putting in your body has made me…
  • I totally wish there was a "Like" button! Exactly :) I get stronger 7 stronger everyday!
  • Oh ok, I finally figured out how to respond to an entry directly. LOL They obviously dont pressure me into anything, they are kinda like my cheerleaders actually, and they dont want me to "cheat" I guess I'm a b****[/quote] LOL So am I! I just refuse to go to those places. When my mother invites me to dinner I always ask…
  • Hahaha! Crackin me up! I know how you feel, but i figure if I can watch my family eat what they want then it wont bother me when I see something in public I want, or a smell that triggers my taste buds!
  • Yes, me too. I have recently discovered the Bacon Ranch Grilled Chicken salad from Mcdonalds and its very good, and surprisingly Low cal & I opt for whatever dressing is low fat/calorie. But I only do that when Im out and about and get home to eat :)
  • Dont feel lonely! Theres quite a few of us it seems. Anyone in the same boat feel free to ADD ME! I know we can all use some encoraging words sometimes. Im down 21 lbs but I have 137 more to go!
  • I have started eating oatmeal everyday, for 2 reasons.... it stays in your belly longer than most breakfast items, & to incorporate whole grains in my diet as I HATE whole grain pasta/bread etc. I buy the store brand quick oats which cook in 1 min oopposed to 5 for the regular stuff. The best way to eat oatmeal is the…
  • Hello, Im Crystal and am currently weighing in at 297 lbs. I have no idea how I let my weight get so out of control but it stops here! I have a 2 1/2 year old little girl that I plan on living a LONG time for so its time to get in shape & live healthy. The weight I carry has damaged me in so many ways but I am going to…
  • My trick is brushing my teeth (im kinda lazy & wont wanna have to do it again) and getting a nice big glass of ice water. Drink the water and chomp on the ice. I think snacking is more because were bored, so you can trick your mind into thinking youre eating something good! Good luck!
  • Im no doctor by any means but I feel that pain very often that you described. The only thing that has worked for me is WATER! Hydrate very often. Ive discovered that if I drink water non stop (not really, but almost) that I do not feel that pain. And if I do start to feel it coming on then I stop what Im doing and drink…
