I'm 30 with a husband, full time job and very busy 2 year old daughter. I have about 75 pounds to lose, hopefully I can do as much of that as possible before next May and my 10 year anniversary. Anyone feel free to add me!

Metformin should help regulate your hormones if you have pcos, and help control insulin resistance if that is an issue for you. Taking care of these two things should help aid in weight loss. There are mixed feelings on taking birth control pills with pcos, but that is for you and your doctor to decide. Have you been on…

Just to echo everyone else, consistency is key, track, weigh your food. Try to cut out the more processed foods. Low carb is fine but carbs are not your enemy, I have polycystic ovarian syndrome and try to eat low carb as well, this means cutting out white things, bread, pasta, potatoes, refined sugars, not fruits (that…

Happy Birthday! You are doing awesome!

They may also be referring to net carbs. For instance 100g of avocado has 9 grams of carbs of those 9 grams 7 are from fiber. I have read differing opinions on net carbs but my dietitian told me (I have pcos) to go ahead and count net carbs instead of total especially when they are coming from veggies and fruits.

You really only need to add an extra 200-300 calories in your 2nd trimester and an extra 300-400 calories in your third, that is what my doctor told me when I was pregnant with my daughter. That means picking nutrient dense food not junk food, drinking an extra glass of full fat milk, eating a handful of nuts, using olive…

Your story is amazing, you're amazing!

I could give some long excuse about having PCOS, depression over not getting pregnant, emotional eating...blah blah blah....which may have played a roll, but in reality, I just simply love fried foods, eating out, and chocolate.

Purple cabbage, it would go good if you are doing some find of dip. As for the blue, I have no idea.

This. I agree, if you are comfortable with 1260 and that is where you need to be I feel like it is do-able and can be just fine. The reality is that if you are on a plan where 1260 is your goal, you are going to have to work even harder to make better choices. A chocolate ball for breakfast, or 6 for a snack is not a…

Stuffed Peppers Brown turkey with onions (I seasoned with a spicy cajun seasoning) mix with 1 cup cooked brown rice, and 1/4 +/- can of tomato sauce (you want it to be moist but not soupy) Cut top off 4 bell pepper and clean out inside. Stuff peppers with filling and place in crockpot, pour remaining tomato sauce over the…

Maybe that's when you need to incorporate some full fat/calorie cheese, or real mayo/avocado instead of light, healthy oil instead of light margarine, full fat salad dressing, natural nut butter, etc. I am not saying you need to start eating poorly, but there are tiny adjustments you can make. If you are having trouble…

I'm sending you a request. My daughter was born the end of April, but was 13 weeks premature. The three months she was in the hospital I lived on McDonalds and hospital food, so I have a LOT to work off!

I would like to participate. Team Emma if possible, but any team is fine.

This ^^^ makes sense. However she said her husband signed her up for the gym before Christmas, not that she signed up. Makes me wonder if she is even into the whole weight training thing.

I am a finance assistant for a public library system. I pay all the bills and handle the budget. I do love it, I am very lucky to have a great boss though.

I have taken Metformin off and on for about 2 1/2 years. Mostly on while I was going through fertility treatment, once I finally got pregnant there was some discussion about if I should stay on or go off. My OB/GYN and I decided it was best for me to stay on, however, I ended up going into preterm labor at 24 weeks and…

I liked last nights episode, the Hershel/Lori part made me jump! I am not a fan of Andrea, I really wanted her to get killed off last season. It was nice going an episode without having to see her.
