so glad to hear that many others have been side tracked this way. what everyone says is true - don't keep it in your house, log everything, and cutting out the the sweets really helps the cravings go away. I have been eating lots of strawberries & watermelon lately.

I'm a troop leader. I had 10 cases of cookies in my car as I was driving home from work today. I ate one cookie - but I need one more - cannot resist tagalongs & samoas so I get one of each!

I do 1/2 cup multigrain cheerios mixed with some flavor either 1/2 cup chocolate cheerios or 1/2 cup cinnamon burst cheerios. I am trying to cut back on sugar, but I don't like my cereal to taste "healthy."

Also, if you are looking for easy, healthy, maybe even quick recipes, try kraftrecipes.com & check out their healthy living recipes or hungrygirl.com. I have found recipes on both sites that everyone likes, although I don't do anything as drastic as replacing sugar with artificial sweetener or using egg substitutes instead…

This is what I do with my daughter, who is 5 now. She helps me cook, we try to make healthy things, but I am big on "all things in moderation" so we bake cookies & other treats and we eat at McDonalds and other restaurants. Nothing is off limits, but she knows that in order for her body to grow & for her to have energy she…

I have naturally curly hair which I never straighten. Friends, coworkers, & even my husband suggest I straighten it but I never do. I've never been good at styling hair, atleast being curly is easy.

1. Chocolate (usually m&ms or hershey kisses - to beat a craving w/o investing too many calories) 2. granola bars (nature valley crunchy) 3. apples & bananas 4. cheese 5. fage 0% greek yogurt & skim milk

I started the 30 day shred on July 1st (for the third or fourth time) and I found that if you can get through the first 4 days it starts to feel much easier. The 2nd & 3rd days are the worst, endurance & soreness wise. Now I am on my second day of level 2 (we are doing 10 days of level 1, 10 of level 2, & 10 of level 3)…

I have always had muscular legs (gymnastics & horseback riding), so I just buy a size bigger than I normally wear.

thanks! your breakfast sounds yummy!

I wonder the same thing about sugar in fruit & milk. Should that be counted differently from added sugar? I am always way over from sugar, but I try to cut sugars - the fruit & milk are my problems.

I like to feel strong. It also helps to control my appetite and suppress (spelling?) cravings for unhealthy snacks.

I think 18 is too old for pigtails - after that you look like you are trying too hard to look young

Depends on the mood I'm in. Top 3: Lofhouse iced spinkle sugar cookies (they are right inside the door, no avoiding them!! Nacho Cheese Doritoes & M&Ms.

I think those of us who do not dress up for the gym might feel like they are privately being judged by those who dress up to work out. The fact that you made the title of this post "sloppy women at the gym" leads me to believe that you are in fact judging those people who don't feel like it makes any kind of sense to dress…

I like the rubbermaid fip top. Two pack for $5 at kroger right now. They fit in cupholders & are easy to clean. Plus they are inexpensive, which is good because I tend to lose them.

This recipe is great! Don't let the pumpkin fool you! I have made it several times and my family doesn't even realize that it is "healthy" and they are usually pretty good at detecting & rejecting my attempts to cook healthfully.

Little "treats" like nail polish, lipstick, magazines, & other small items that I want, but don't need.

I watch calcium & sugar. I really struggle with sugar.

If you don't want to get pregnant now it is imperative that you talk to your doctor & find a reliable method of birth control before you just drop the pill. I would ask about switching brands / types. Usually they will give you samples to try before you have to buy them, so you can avoid one that makes you crazy or makes…

I was logging mine under calisthenics. Kind of disappointed in the calories burned:(

I'm joining - I started again for the second time today - maybe this will hold me accountable.

Dear teenagers - Do you even know the meaning of "indoor voices?" Because it is a concept my preschooler has mastered. Another skill you need to work on before graduation - following directions. Good luck in life - you will need it.

2.5 pound weights sound good, I just completed day 1 level 1 using the 5 pound weights that I use for bikini ready fast & some of the moves were really tough with 5 pounds - I am scared to see how sore I am tomorrow - if it is really bad I might have to invest in some lighter weights

I felt the way you do for a long time. I work full time & so does my husband. I leave my daughter with the sitter late two days a week so that I can go to jazzercise. I also work out before she gets up & before I go to work in the am (usually 4:30 am). The hardest part is getting out of bed for that, especially in the…

Santa brought the 30 day shred - I'm starting now - & I am a little scared - wish me luck:)

Hello & welcome back. I've stopped and started many times since joining MFP & I am starting again today. Good luck :)

I really like Self Bikini Ready Fast. It's 30 minutes including the warm up & cool down - I use 5lb weights with it & it doesn't feel to difficult but you start seeing results quickly & it really works well on thighs, abs, & chicken arms:)

Just two is hard - generally any romantic comedy - I really love pretty woman and Hitch

I am in the same boat - lost 18 pounds last year, 2 pounds from my goal weight, then I just stopped logging & excercising regularly. I keep trying to recommit, but I keep slipping up. I will say the short term goal is a good idea - I made a goal to excercise everyday during the month of august & was able to keep it. Friend…
