  • I know some people don't bother recording their water intake so I'm not sure from your diary whether what you've put in for water is what you're having. If it is then I would definitely recommend upping your water intake to the 8 cups - it helps to keep you feeling fuller. I don't know if it'll help but there's loads of…
  • I hadn't heard of it until joining MFP either. I started it about a week ago and it is brilliant. At 20 minutes it is an intense workout but you can always think 'once I've done this bit there's only x left'! I was fairly fit going into it but it's still worked me out. There are easier modifications for most of the moves…

  • Looking at your diary I would say that you're too far under your daily goal. It's best if you try and eat back all your exercise calories - MFP has done the calculations so believe what it says when it tells you what you have left. If you don't feel comfortable eating them all back then give yourself 100 or so calories to…
  • Jaffa cakes - 2 for under 100 calories and only 2 grams of fat. Either that or maltesers. I do have a square of dark chocolate mixed into my porridge in the morning :-) Haribo are jelly sweets. My favourites are the tangfastic sour mix ones - yum.
  • Dionne: "Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May but thy eternal summer shall not fade. Phat! Did you write that?" Cher: "Duh, it's like a famous quote" Dionne: "From where?" Cher: "Cliff's Notes."
  • I think this makes the most sense. Definitely talk to your friend even though it's obviously upsetting that they've done this. But, as has been said by some others, they didn't know you were correcting their mistakes and they maybe didn't know how to handle it. You've not said anything to them, presumably because you're…
  • For me it's probably that the more you put in the more you get out - if you track your food and exercise properly then you will lose weight. Also, it make it so easy as you can see straight away that if you eat that then you won't be able to have so much later (or you'll have to workout extra hard. It's free and it's a…
  • Gap do nice black trousers for curvy women - they are quality material and have some stretch in them too. Or, try and find a seamstress to take in your trousers.
  • Volleyball was my favourite even though I wasn't very good at it!
  • 1. Dancing with myself - Billy Idol 2. Safety dance - Glee cast 3. Rockafeller skank - Fatboy Slim 4. U can't touch this - MC Hammer ("Gotta work hard or you might as well quit") 5. California gurls - Katy Perry (matches my running rhythm perfectly)
  • Where are you based? If you're UK then you could try Fuller Fillies for jods and chaps that fit larger legs. I think most horse riders we see are professionals and therefore workout a lot! Round where I ride there's many a larger lady seen out on a horse!
  • A stone is 14 lbs. If you ever need to know what it is in lbs or kg you can type "x stone in lbs" (or kg) into google and it'll convert it for you (I use it a lot to turn lbs into stone so I don't have to do the sums myself!)
  • My advice would be to make sure your bike is set up correctly for you, get a decent saddle that's fitted to your seat bones, wear high visibility clothing and a helmet whenever you're cycling (these are the things that really made a difference to my cycling and meant I wanted to go out on the bike!). Enjoy!
  • So you sort of exercise in public at work if you're running about and lifting things... You can't stop people judging you if that's what they're going to do so the best thing to do is ignore it and pretend it doesn't bother you (easier said than done, I know!). You could do something other than jogging? Cycling's good, or…
  • Are you having an induction? If you are then you'll get a recommended workout to follow and they'll probably say to give it about 8 weeks and then ask them to give you a new programme (although by then you'll probably just be getting on with it and trying all the machines anyway!). If you're not having an induction see if…

  • I would probably say that, although weight is an important factor, fitness would alsobe key. The fitter you are the better you carry yourself and can hold your position better so you're not affecting the horse and its balance so much by wobbling about in the saddle. So if you've been exercising more but the weight hasn't…
  • Thanks everyone. I'm feeling reassured that it's not going to be as tricky as I thought!
  • Thanks for all the great suggestions - I can't stand tuna so I'll give that a miss! I was already planning on homemade flapjack (with dark chocolate mixed in - yum) and I love the hot chocolate for the evening and carb gels could be a good energy booster if I need it. I will be carrying a backpack so won't be able to do…
