  • 1) I am studying my *kitten* off so I can leave my god-awful job, even after they gave me a big bonous and big payrise (too little too late) 2) I'm incredibly lonely and it makes me sad, although everyone thinks I'm the bubbly one with loads of friends 3) The only thing that keeps me on my diet sometimes is mu infertility.…
  • D-Chiro-Inositol helps with hirsutism. I've seen marked decreases since I've been taking it, and I'm a chronic sufferer. I used to spend 2 hours every sunday night tidying up my face. I have that down to a half hour now. hair is lighter, softer and finer. Haven't heard the Spearmint tea thing, but the poster who says "It'…
  • I'd hold on to her! She sounds like a guru, and good hairdressers are hard to find.
  • I have suffered with chronic Vit D deficiency since not long after I moved to the UK (the land of no sunlight  ). Fatigue, depression, malaise... I knew I wanted to snap out of my funk and after years of misdiagnosis we bullied the dr into testing for Vit D deficiency, and waddaya know!!! Now one regular high doses…
  • carbs, protein, sugar, fat and sodium.
  • Gave it up 13 years ago. Now I savour my 1 coffee per week (on a saturday). its always a lusciously rich filter coffee that is worth the wait. The giving up was awful, but it made me realise how much bad or mediocre coffee I was drinking. And life's too short for bad coffee (or bad chocolate).
  • My husband did 30ds, but he's shy so no photos. But he looks awesom and particularly loves to complain about Jillian being a psycho-***** when it gets to an exercise he struggles with. Personally I think he has a huge crush on her LOL
  • Yes. Doctors are idiots - they should have explained that metformin does that to almost everyone. Try this Half a tablet before you go to bed for 2 weeks. You will still have an upset stomach in the morning, but once you've been it should be fine the rest of the day. Increase dosage in fortnightly steps, half a tablet at a…
  • Nothing to apologise for - we were all Noobs once :)
  • I haven't had much luck on the generic fix-all type supplements, but I do take a number of things in a mix that is tailored for me. I've got a blog post about it: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/netchik/view/my-supplements-why-i-take-them-194363
  • That's a pretty narrow view of the world! I live on the opposite side of the world to my family and closest friends. Facebook is the only way I get to communicate with some of them because of time differences and the cost of flights!
  • It's easy to say that, but losing a baby could mean you just want to be by yourself to heal. I'd have thought the same way before mine!
  • Print out your worst photo and stick it on your desk. Keep looking at it. This is why we DON'T succumb!
  • There's no wasting of vodka in this house!!
  • I agree about spot reducing, it's not possible, however, where you put weight on last is where is come off first. My last place is the love handles. 30DS removed about 6 inches off my middle, no more love handles. SWEET! My wait is now tiny. A pity my *kitten* is the size of the grand canyon LOL Thighs are the first place…
  • definitely a personal choice. The "acceptable" period is 12 weeks, but then I miscarried at 13 for one of my pregnancies, so had I told anyone (other than hubby) or announced on facebook I'd have been plagued for months with unwanted congratulations and then "I'm so sorry" posts... For the girl posting at 7 weeks, I envy…
  • Lovely legs to aspire to, with killer heels that a light and slim me won't have trouble wearing!
  • I'm with you there!! my tops are crazy in number because of the different support structures - ie different for running / high impact than for weight lifting or low impact activities. Gotta have the right support for the girls!
  • You look amazing! You have a great *kitten*, and amazing results for such a short amount of time
  • Welcome Von, feel free to add. :)
  • I bloody hate it. I wear big over the ear headphones to deter it. And yet, still. some knob-jockey will still try and make conversation. Cue, stopping the machine, taking the headphones off, with a strained, but polite "I'm sorry?" then you find out they want to chat? WTF man, I was in my zone!!!!!!!
  • My body can't tolerate a lot of carbs, so I will go on low-carb when I'm feeling unwell. It works for me, but it's all about listening to your body. I know that I get insulin spikes and stomach upsets when eating high GI carbs like white rice, pasta, potato, any type of bread (especially!!) and while I adore bread and…

  • Well done - you look fantastic! AND you have thigh gap!! *envious*
  • I'm amazed when I see the nutritional breakdown of american food, especially in restaurants because there are so many additives. It makes it so hard for you guys! I guess the best thing to start with is to go dressing free, then hope that your salad vegetables haven't been soaked in glucose LOL
  • Latest studies show that the diuretic effect of water is nowhere near what the old wives tales said they were. In fact, it only displaces a fraction of the water you have in the beverage itself. Having said that, I still drink a couple litres of water on it's own, regardless of tea intake. My husband doesn't - he counts…
  • Your loss is awesome - the pics are just so inspiring! Thanks!
  • Because the metabolic work your body does when you're sleeping (ie recovering) is different. So if you were a shiftworker and slept during the day, then maybe they'd say no carbs after dinner (as you'd expect another 8 hours before sleep??? Not saying I agree (cos I do eat carbs later in the day) but that's the theory…
  • My husband has the same problem. He will check his balance a couple of hours before bed, and often tops up with brazil nuts, or a tablespoon of peanut butter . It works!
  • Change the food that you bring into the house. He may have hollow legs, but if he's eating as healthily as you, you can't have a problem with the food he's offering. I think the problem here is that you are still fancying the foods he is offering. Change the food, change the behaviour
  • Yes, loads of us PCOS girls out there :) feel free to add
