  • if you are still wanting group members, i'd love to join. i just signed up for a 10 week weight loss challenge but it would be nice to also be in a group like this with the food/exercise challenges and discussion/support (as opposed to a contest) to go concurrently. i'll take new msmts in the AM - haven't done so in 2…

  • would love to join! will pm you with my weight on the 16th.
  • was away on vacation (but moving my butt and trying to eat well!) and then got sick so no exercise for about a week *grumbles* but happy to report a consistent loss. feels like the 5lbs is definitely within reach and if the loss ends up more than that? awesome. :) 9/01 - 236.4 9/12 - 233.8 9/16 - 9/23 - 9/30 -
  • I'm afraid I'm going to have to start over or do a partial redo :( I went away for 5 days during Labor Day weekend and 3days in started to get sick (a cold which lead to a sinus infection, no fun, antibiotics, blah blah). I am just now reaching the full recovery point and will be picking up with 30DS tomorrow. I plan to…
  • I have been running around like crazy the last couple days getting ready to leave town but I've still managed to squeeze in 30DS - thank goodness its only 25 mins! I finished L1D8 today and am feeling great. Now that I'm not struggling through the JJ & JR I'm FINALLY feeling the workout in my lower legs - its a pleasant…
  • I'm in! I just passed the first week of the 30DS & am doing the 24hr Challenge for Sept so I think this would be a good way to account for any weight loss while I push through those exercise goals. If I manage to go beyond 5, that's just a bonus!
  • chafing sucks! when i started exercising again i had to get new workout shorts/capris for exactly this reason, so i feel your pain! hope it eases so you can get back into the swing of things :)

  • D5L1 done. Definitely a significant difference in endurance vs D1  Have a nice w/e everyone!
  • TBH I don't think there is anything wrong with having a rest day, especially if you have that kind of pain. I did it earlier this week because of my quads and was def better for it. By the following day I felt much stronger. Or like Statia said, do what you can if you must do something. Just be careful to not do those…
  • L1D4 done. My calves did NOT want to cooperate through the first circuit of cardio, they were on fire like never before but by round 3 I was good to go. I've upped to my 5lb weights on some of the strength moves and the workouts are definitely getting easier, yay! I was also finally able to get back to some HIIT for about…
  • 3 people I'm very close to have had weight-loss surgery with 3 very different results. My aunt had the bypass a couple years ago but also had to have her gallbladder removed at the same time and while she's dropped all the weight and is happier in her life, she is now battling being chronically underweight - she cannot…
  • Morning/Afternoon all :) I had to take the day off from the Shred yesterday due to the extreme fatigue/soreness in my thighs and my wariness about causing a knee injury (luckily no sign of knee pain yet, so happy!). Probably didn't help that after I did day2 I unexpectedly had to help a friend move a bunch of a stuff which…
  • Ditto, I'd love to know what's in your green smoothie?
  • This is exactly what I had to do. I was (am?) a sugar addict but I finally got to my breaking point re: how i was feeling day in and out and being honest that the sugar/refined carbs were largely responsible for my crappy moods. sadly it can keep you in a vicious cycle of eat sugar->feel good for a bit->start to come…
  • Finished up Day 2 and even though my quads (as well as a few other muscles) were slightly sore, I found it easier to do and was able to push myself harder. I like how GOOD I feel once I've recovered... its a welcome energy boost. I don't know about anyone else but I'm taking care to do my own stretching for 5 mins or so…
  • From what I understand about working out/strength training & adding new exercise your muscles will retain water in an effort to recover from what you've been doing so I wouldn't worry about the scale going up a bit, that's normal. Congrats on noticing the difference in your body, that's great!
  • I'd love to be included! Completed day 1 on level 1 and WOW can definitely feel this! I used a couple soup cans which were too light but I only own 5lb weights. I'll be looking for some creative alternatives this week or maybe I'll splurge and pick up a set of 3lb barbells. My goal is to maintain part/all of my previous…
