  • Your body will use several hundred calories over the next month or so to regenerate the lost blood. Personally, the day I give I'm starving and feel like I eat absolutely everything. That day doesn't seem to derail me, and I don't think letting myself spend a day miserably hungry can be good for me. If you don't have a…
  • Most of the popular brands typically just use soybean oil.

  • -lemon juice, sugar free relish, salt and pepper is good for a really fresh taste, and is great served on iceberg lettuce -laughing cow cheese wedges -laughing cow cheese with salsa I don't know your exact reasons for ditching the mayo, but I'm wondering if you looked into kraft's mayo with olive oil. The calories are…

  • -Three eggs, scrambled with 2 tablespoons salsa. It's a favorite breakfast of mine, and exactly 220 calories with the salsa I buy. -A chicken breast with a salad (stick to lettuce and a light dressing). -Soup. Progresso makes a lot that are under 200 calories a can and pretty tasty.
  • The machine is probably more accurate here. Both the machine & mfp consider your physical stats, but mfp has no idea at what intensity you worked.
  • I like to use this website: www.mybodygallery.com It helps give you a feel for what different weights look like on different body types.
  • I'm going on a trip this weekend. (and spending a total of 13 hours in a car!) My goal is to enjoy the trip without freaking out about food the whole time.
  • Your hips may be the littlest bit wider than your goal picture, but your stomach is flatter and your limbs are thinner. You look awesome.
  • Almost every restaurant offers an optional side of vegetables, even if it's not listed on the menu. This saves me at Mexican restaurants.
  • 1. You're adorable. 2. You don't realize it, but you're the lucky one here. I have a friend that's close to me in height, but has a completely different frame. She looks thin and gorgeous around 140, while the weight that looks comparable on me is about 120 pounds. I would love to be able to look equally great without…
  • If you like baked apples, try slicing an apple, sprinkling it with cinnamon and splenda, and microwaving the whole thing for a minute or two I also really like two make banana 'ice cream.' I usually add half a tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder.…
  • I'm a college student, so my daily schedule is a little funny. I actually do four meals a day. Early morning, midday (usually right after my workout), afternoon (3pm - 4pm), and evening (around 7pm)
  • Polar ft4 from bodytronics for $60. I was surprised at how easy it is to use, and at how the chest strap doesn't bother me during exercise.
  • My dad always used to say "When you're looking for an excuse, any one will do." I hate when people are looking for magic weight loss secrets. If it was quick and easy, everyone would be thin.
  • Teriyaki chicken with fried rice from a take-out hibachi restaurant. I used to drown it in white sauce. It was so so good. I don't live near a comparable restaurant anymore, and I am pretty happy about that. I don't even want to know how many calories where in that meal.
  • I did a month long 'scale cleanse' and it worked wonders. I'm weighing every other week now, but focusing more on inches and how I feel. I used to weigh every day and obsess over the numbers.
  • I love your attitude! I don't care how long it takes me to lose the rest of the weight, because this is more than just a diet.
  • I used to miss my boobs, but I miss them less lately. Through 3 rounds of dieting (including this one) I've worked down from a DD to a C (or B if the brand runs big). Lately I've realized my new size suits my frame perfectly, and it's so much easier to find tops that fit well I also miss the clothing I used to wear. I have…
  • I was going over on sugar daily, and near all of it was fruit. I didn't feel like I became overweight from eating to many apples, so I decided not to track sugar anymore. I lose faster than the mfp projections, so I don't think the sugar is holding me back. That said, everyone's different and you need to experiment and see…
  • You should also be a little wary of the purse hooks in bathroom stalls. If the stall has the traditional hook on the top of the inside of the door, it's extremely easy for a someone to reach over the door and snatch your purse.
  • I just bought a polar ft4 hrm for $60. I've found it to be easy to setup and use, and the chest strap is comfortable.
  • Haven't done the shred (yet!), but I would think lots and lots of stretching would be beneficial. Try stretching when you wake up, before the workout, after the workout, and before bed. I was a high school athlete, and that always helped me out tons during tough training periods. Good luck with the rest of the shred!
  • -hard boiled eggs -scrambled eggs or omelets with meat and/ or beans -smoothies, fruit, or whole grain toast with peanut butter -Greek yogurt -almonds (can add to oatmeal, cold cereal, or yogurt) -cheese
  • Yes! It's like eating pie filling. Next time I buy it, I want to get gram cracker to go with it.
  • Coffee is full of antioxidants, prevents my headaches that I struggled with for years, keeps me awake in class, boots the metabolism, reduces the risk of developing diabetes, and can stand in for an unhealthy snack on the other hand... Caffeine is addictive and caffeine withdrawal is unpleasant, coffee is dehydrating, can…
  • I love it, but only average about one a day. I would drink more, but it would keep me from drinking my water and it's so expensive when compared with water. I don't worry too much about the 'scary diet soda chemicals' because I really do soda in moderation.
  • I have a quick tip for preventing dogs from wanting to 'mark their territory' Take a clean towel, rub it on the dog, then rub the towel on the carpet. Repeat in each carpeted room. You won't smell the dogs scent on the carpet, but the dog sure will. I have a job with a carpet cleaning company, and we tell our customers to…
  • I have two pairs of shorts. One is an 8 and one is a 10. They're the same brand, cut, color, and style. The waist on the 8 is two inches bigger than the waist on the 10. Sizes mean nothing.
  • It's probably because lifewater has calories. The FDA has a rule that says foods with less than 5 calories a serving can be labeled as zero calories a serving. Many food products (especially diet sodas) that say they have zero calories, actually just have less than 5 calories
