If you're new to dieting and nutrition what I'm saying may sound funny, but it's true. Cutting your calories drastically won't make you lose weight the quickest (and certainly not the healthiest way possible). I lose weight faster at 1400-1500 calories a day than at 1200 a day. You have to feed and take care of your body…

Congrats for starting! Admitting you need to make a change, and actually attacking your problem head-on can be so difficult to do. Keep up the great work, and remember not to get discouraged if the scale 'sticks' at a certain weight for a week or so. Good luck!

-If your worried about the chip basket, decide in advance exactly how many you will have, and stick to that number. -Look for dishes that are mainly just a protein and vegetables. -Watch out for dishes with refried beans, guacamole, sauces, and cheese. -Don't be afraid to ask for simple changes to be made to a dish…

I believe that if you're truly hungry and sick, you need to eat more. If your sick you're primary goal needs to be taking care of yourself to recover quickly, not to maintain a sizable deficit. That said, I don't think you should use this as an excuse to splurge on junky foods, it's especially important to stick to…

Moving from one weight category to the next lower one is so incredibly satisfying! Keep up the great work!

I'm at a community college in NC for this semester. I'm taking public speaking, elementary spanish, art appreciation, and western civilization. I'm going to a university in the fall, and I CANNOT wait. My classes are boring and way to easy, and there's just nothing to do on campus.

The half baked potato with salsa is brilliant, and I'll be trying that one soon. Thanks for sharing!

I usually eat 4 smaller meals a day, and then snacks. I refer to my meals by number. I have one around 7am or 8am morning, two at or before noon, three around 3pm, and four around 7pm (when my family likes to eat dinner). If I get hungry at any other point, I eat something small (like a piece of fruit, or serving of…

I typically have either some combination of toast, peanut butter, fruit, and greek yogurt, or a green smoothie.

Are you happier and healthier in your new weight range? If so, just tell them that and don't worry about it.

I'm pretty sure I aced a test that's a third of my grade in my Western Civilization class. I got in a good workout even though I was both cramping and exhausted from staying up studying. I've stuck to my eating plan today, and am going to have ice cream later without going over my sugar goal.

Remember that people have awful memories when it comes to appearances. Think of someone you know that recently changed their hair. Realize how hard it is to picture how they used to look. The people in your life may have trouble believing you didn't always look quite as awesome as you do now.

I'm usually big on moderating over abstaining, but I never buy nutella for fear of what I might due if it was in the house. That's not to say I won't indulge if I'm staying with a friend who has it in the house, though.

I like to do it daily. I'm afraid if I just do weekly I'll get thrown off by a random fluctuation, but with daily I can see the overall trends more easily on my graph. I also use it as a motivator. A lower number encourages me to stick to my plan and not undue my hard work. A higher number motivates me to work harder.

Great diet...if you're into hunger, misery, eating disorders and emergency rooms. Those calorie counts are appropriate for MEALS, not DAYS
