So instead of obsessing about your intake, you will switch to obsessing about his? Without his asking for help? You must really not like this boyfriend very much--this is almost like seeing "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" on a message board.

If he doesn't want her to stop working out and doing what she is doing, then he should have stayed quiet. Good communication /= spouting off every thought that pops in your head. What is the point of making your partner feel badly about themselves and what makes her happy and healthy? I assume, however, he said it because…

Ok, can't remember if I logged in 12/13 already or not, if so, here it is again plus today: 12/13: 1.75 mi 12/17: 4.0 mi [/url

Sounds interesting.

Since your gym time is limited, if I were you I would switch to lifting weights (either on machines or not--I am seeing lots of progress as a newbie just using the circuit machines, even though some on this site look down on that). You could do the "toning exercises" at home on other days whenever you can fit it into your…

Another vote for Rodney Yee. AM/PM yoga is a great, 20 min workout (each; you can do them both together, too) with pretty basic moves.

This is awesome--thank you.

I actually replaced mine with calcium; I figure as I get older it is probably a good idea to make sure I am hitting that. I know women especially need to worry about osteoporosis, so if I make hitting the rda a target maybe I will avoid that.

If I have to eat in the car (which sadly happens many mornings), I take a jimmy dean d-light english muffin with me. It is 210 cal I think, and has protein from the canadian bacon, egg white, and cheese. They also make a breakfast bowl that is really good, and a flatbread sandwich.

 I am already paranoid about falling off the treadmill, now I am going to be super freaked out at the gym tonight. But at least I know how to use a rowing machine.

Way to go. Best of luck to you and enjoy those walks to come. The pain will be so worth it.

Got a good workout in yesterday--3.35 miles! Hope everyone has a great Monday!
-
I had that happen, and gained back 20 of the 35 I had lost. So it is good that you are aware of it and trying to avoid getting too comfortable. What is working to keep me motivated this time around is focusing on fitness goals. I have started lifting weights, plan to try to start jogging, and returned to horseback riding…

Little walk at lunch today, yeah! Tummy feeling better, so hoping for a real workout tomorrow. 12/6: 1.1 miles

12/5: 0.75 miles (had a stomach bug yesterday that held me back). Hope to check in later today with more to report!

I am twice your age, but feel free to add me. I started trying to lose weight in January 2007, have had two babies since then and I have been up and down and all over the map. I recommitted in June and have lost 22 pounds since then, and I intend to stick with it this time around! I am working on getting fit, too,…

Barberitos or Moe's Southwest Grill: salad with black beans, salsa, chicken and jalepenos. Yum. And as earlier posters have said, Chick fil a has lots of great options. I also like Wendy's plain baked potato and a small chili.

I originally started in January 2010. I have had a lot of ups and downs (and 2 babies!) since then, and I recommitted in June of this year. But I am happy with my progress and feel that this really is a lifestyle change, not just a resolution.

ITA with all the other posters. One part of your post particularly spoke to me--when you said how you look at others thinner than you that don't have to watch what they eat. It has taken me a long time to accept this. But life isn't fair. This is my cross to bear, just as those people have their problems/concerns that just…

Please add me! I grew up riding/showing TWHs. (Your horse is beautiful btw, OP (if that is him in your profile pic!) I showed western for our college team. I also showed a spotted saddle horse for a while, but then we bought a house, had kids, and I gained weight (not necessarily in that order). I just treated myself to…

I do not think that word means what you think it means.

I highly recommend that you avoid copious drinking while eating them. For a brief moment in time I thought I had a bleeding ulcer.

Ditto on the making my day. And the whooshing rocket with the point was just too much. WWID? Go faceplant into the 1,000 calorie a slice cookie dough cheesecake sitting in my freezer. "cause the only way to stave off starvation mode is a full-on binge, amirite?? :drinker:

Ok, *deep breath*, I'm in for 30 miles this month. I made it over my goal of 20 last month but only to 23. 30 will be challenging (especially since I've already taken two rest days :grumble: ) but hey, it is a challenge after all. Bear with me on the ticker thing....

I am a former WWer. I just never could make the new plan work for me, even though I lost on the old. So far I have been doing well with MFP (although I seem to be stuck the last 2-3 weeks). I haven't been very successful in setting a deadline as I am a slow loser, but I would think 20 lbs is doable for you. The exercise…

Ditto previous posters on planning ahead for restaurants and for weighing/measuring everything! I love your avatar, btw, I just started back riding after losing 20 lbs--feel free to friend me for encouragement! My calorie counts/macros are similar to yours, and I have about 35-40 more lbs to lose.

Ooh, good idea--I have just the spot for my green bedazzled monstrosity in my closet!!! :drinker:
