The main point for anyone is a balanced and sustainable lifestyle. Most people fail to live a healthy lifestyle cos they do not enjoy it, or they feel guilty for eating food at times or of types they feel are wrong. Eating a diet that makes you feel sated and satisfied is really important (and supplies all nutrients your…

I pretty much feel hungry all the time. But this does not bother me so much as my cravings are low when I exercise in the morning, which gives me a dopamine high throughout the day. I also eat small and regular meals 6 times a day with 400 calories in each meal/snack. This helps me psychologically as it is never long till…

if you have an iPhone or Andriod you can use a pedometer app. This will record your steps, or you can buy a pedometer from a sports shop which sits on your belt and this will record your steps. The other way is just work out how many minutes you walk for and estimate your pace. Find out how long the museum is and then you…

Please look after yourself. Your body needs energy, protein and calcium to grow at the moment. You are just starting your life and you need a long term sustainable life plan. At the moment you are punishing your body when at your age you need to be rewarding your body. You must stil be at school/college so your brain will…

When i am on a zone 2 (HR 120-160 bpm) fat burning cycle or an endurance ride, these are my favourite times... I think and pray thru everything going on in my life, it's when I process my thoughts, concerns, and prepare my mind for the day/life. When I am doing a zone 3 power cycle I concentrate on my performance, my…

I hope I am going to live another 40 years at least ... the change I need is of lifestyle, cravings and mindset and the scales will follow. You are doing great, don't fret :-)

^^^^ this is great ^^^^ you have to find an enjoyable and sustainable solution. Loosing 100 lbs is an endurance race and you will have to have fun doing it. You need to have NSVs (non-scale victories). At times you will stop loosing weight, due to your metabolism, muscle gain and other factors. So set yourself goals that…

Before and after a Cardiovascular burn I take Tablytes, which can be used to replace electrolytes (http://amzn.to/nHgKcx). These have healthy level of potassium in them. The some of the best sources of protein are beans, nuts and pulses. Which are also high in fibre and low in saturated fats and funnily enough they are a…

If you have calories left and you feel like you need a reward go ahead...you will stay on track for your calorie goal and feel great too. Although avoid foods that will make you feel guilty (like you have done something wrong) as these will effect to self-esteem and reduce your motivation.

go to the doctor to find the cause, look at your running style, shoes etc... take a break and do other cardiovascular exercise to keep your fitness up (cycling / swimming / rowing). You might want to consider some exercise that builds your core strength too... Triathletes suffer fewer injuries than runners, cos the other…

Not being an expert here by-any-means, but skin tone takes time and patient. Your skin is your largest organ and will adjust with time. The bodies we see in fitness magazines are not 'real' in many senses of the word either digitally edited or taking exercise and diet regiems that are impossible for the normal person. A…

I eat 5 to 6 meals a day, trying to keep to 300-400 calories in each meal.

Protien is an amazing thing and it get's everywhere... It is most often associated with meat. But meat is a poor source of protien cos of the fat content. Legumes are (beans and lentils/pulses) are one of the best forms of protien, they are also very filling and are great for weight-loss and maintenance of weight. The…

You are doing great! You made the start. Try to think of the whole process as a learning journey. Focus on learning goals ... Unless someone has a medical condition, we all gain weight cos we need to learn and grow. Learn about your own body, and teach your body, rather than it be the master, YOU take control. Learn about…

You can buy a package which will transfer everything you want from your PC to your Mac... Or you can transfer all you music to your iDisk and then added them to your iTunes library. Depending on the memory of any portable devices you have you can install your songs on there and then sync them with your Mac. I left the…

For me exercising and eating are a treat... I enjoy them both the more I exercise the more it get to eat, bonus!. If you do high burn exercise, you will experience an after-burn effect. That is you need to be doing what you would call 'hard' or 'very-hard' exercise for around 20 mins or more and your metabolism is continue…

The key element for me is long term lifestyle change that leads to sustainable ideal weight and level of fitness. This is especially hard when you are in a family of six and have a busy lifestyle (as I do). Motivation is a foundational, are you loosing weight for a spouse, holiday, event etc...?This will help you to loose…
