Fab post Zara. Thanks for sharing. Great to hear you acting and thinking so positively about your situation. I have fibro as well. I have found that it is very much linked with my depression and am working hard to make small changes to all area of my life. Exercise definitely helps and swimming is my fall back when…

Sounds like you've got it down right missus. Fab work. x

I think you can find a balance in the middle. You clearly are working hard with your exercise. Even if mfp is generous on how many calories you have burned, if you are exercising hard enough to be out of breath/ sweat for an hour to an hour and a half, then you are burning calories/ fat and strengthening muscles. You're…

That's a fabulous NSV. Congratulations.

I think it's great that you are raising your children on a varied vegetarian diet. Active children are often hungry as they burn through their energy. I would look at varying the ratio of your meals so that you can still eat the same foods as your family but your plate will have a higher proportion of vegetables. Also (and…

I eat soy regularly but not excessively. I'm happy to eat it in moderation.

Fabulous. And you look so happy in the second pic. x

Mashed swede and potato, season with black pepper. Mashed swede and carrot, season with black pepper. Baked mushrooms. Stir fried veg (almost anything) with soy sauce, served with a drizzle of chilli sauce. Cooked beetroot tossed in balsamic vinegar. I love veggies... mmm...

Thankyou for this. I had roasted cauliflower tonight for the first time. No cheese for me as I'm vegan so I had some mint sauce instead. Mmm....

I keep a big bottle of sparkling water in the fridge. Either drink it plain or with some no added sugar squash. Mmmm.... cold and fizzy.

Good luck with it. x

Best wishes for the CBT. Mirtazipine makes me ravenously hungry for about an hour or two after I've taken it. This is manageable until the zopiclone hits in as I don't really know what I'm doing and tend to get up and eat whatever is to hand. I tried not having any snack food in the flat but then I started cooking things!…

I have fibromyalgia. Swimming is the least painful exercise for me but very tiring. I try and swim for 45 minutes once or twice a week (although it took a while to build up to that time). If I try and push myself for longer it takes a day or so to recover, so it's important to listen to your body. I also do a yogalates dvd…

To be able to get out of the swimming pool without having to turn sideways to climb up the ladder/ steps at the top. :ohwell:

Hmm... that's interesting. I gave up alcohol a couple of months ago (although I only drank infrequently) and my stress/ anxiety levels have been lower since I have been exercising and eating better. I hadn't really tied it all up together but perhaps it's all related. My night terrors have reduced as well. I'm not at a…

I take both these meds and also have episodes of sleep paralysis. It's terrifying. I have noticed it's been less often recently though and wondered whether it was because I have been eating more healthily.

Vegetarian for 17 years, vegan since April and loving it.

B12 is available in yeast extract, margarine, breakfast cereal and soya milk or you can take a supplement.

I've been vegan since April but was veggie for 17 years prior to this. The vegan society website has lots of helpful advice regarding nutrition. I feel so much healthier since I gave up dairy and it has made me look at my whole diet in a positive way. Best of luck.
