I have had almost the exact same experience with running. I did C25K and then a year and a half ish later completed my first half marathon in 2:43 as well and am now throwing around the idea of a full in October. Congratulations on your first half--I cried when I finished mine. I never thought I'd be a runner.

Great work! you can definitely tell a difference!

I had that exact same experience when I went from being a tight 16 to 25lbs lighter and could FINALLY fit into things at j. crew. Definitely teamed up a bit!

I generally run alone and I like in the city of Columbus, which is fairly safe. Still, I only run in daylight and usually run in pretty populous, neighborhood areas. Sometimes I'll take my dog.

What a great success story. Way to truly embrace your body and to focus on what it is able to give you and know when to stop regardless of the scale rather than punishing it and yourself to get to an arbitrary number. You were beautiful before and even more beautiful now--your confidence just shines though. Well done!

Wow! Great results! HUGE difference from the beginning. :)

Great idea. I might just have to do that! I'll definitely keep you all updated with pics when the next shopping trip comes!

Scott, I really appreciate your advice too. I usually base my training on pace, but it's interesting to see where one should theoretically fall for a half--I'm realizing that I consistently am at 90%-93%. No wonder my legs burn!

I started a thread awhile ago with my favorite breakfast that I make: make-ahead then freeze breakfast pockets. You just pop them in the oven frozen while you're getting ready and then they're perfect and crisp when you need to head out the door.…

I made them last night with white wine vinegar and they definitely kept the vinegar taste, but were delicious. Mine burned a bit in 45 minutes, but even then they were so good. Must make again!

I'm going to have to join in the group of people who teared up a bit. I run with my dog too--she somehow knows the difference between running clothes and everyday clothes and gets too excited when we lace up for us to leave her at home, even if it means dropping her back off after a few miles and then finishing our run…

That's such an amazing, surreal feeling! I remember having the exact same experience when I lost my first 25lbs back in 2009. Honestly, sometimes even now it's still instinct to look for the bigger sizes--I have to keep reminding myself that those won't fit anymore! Congratulations on your NSV and happy shopping!!!

Wow! What a difference! I think it might be time to find a new dress to weigh in, that one is quickly getting too loose to show your new hot bod! Keep up the hard work, you look great!! :)

I'm 5'4" currently 166 in a size 8/10, so I'm aiming for 145, then I'll see. That said, I dont remember being 145 since middle school, so if I get in the 150's and hit the look I want, then I'm fine. I'm relatively muscular esp in my legs, so I don't know how to deal with the BMI thing. I'd love to be in a "healthy" range,…

Bump! Can't wait to try!

I did Day 8 yesterday and took today off after my calves were super tight this morning on my run. That said, I'm thinking of attempting level 2 tomorrow! Feel free to add me!

Requesting! I'm 5 pounds down sofar (2 weeks since I actually started tracking, though I've had an acct since August) and am loving the support and accountability!
-
I was always a little bit "chunky" growing up and occasionally my grandma or other family members would suggest maybe watching what I ate, but, since I hadn't come to the realization on my own, it just made me angry and resentful. Eventually, I came to that realization myself and that's what got me to change--now those…

I'm at 167 right now, thinking about 145? Not sure yet, but that seems to be the highest for a healthy BMI.
-
Wow! you look great in that bikini goal weight or not. Great work! You should definitely feel good about yourself wearing that out and about (preferably on a beach! ;))
-
Ditto what Sue said. I think having a supportive partner is SO important. Keep each other accountable and push each other to be better. Feel free to add me! Welcome to MFP! :)

Great job! You can tell a huge difference in your waist and arms! I'm thinking about getting NROL4W once I'm done with the Shred. Great results so far!
-
Wow. What a huge difference. You look great! Keep up the hard work!

That's what I did. By the end I was tacking on extra time after finishing the workout, ran my first 5k then started training for a 10k. I had never been a runner before C25K and it completely changed my life. I wanted to give up that first time they have you do a 20 min run (week 5?) but I read an article saying that…

Congrats! That's a huge victory! I know I LOVE seeing that kind of progress, reminds me how far I've come. Keep up the hard work! :)

Wow! what a noticeable difference!!! Great job!!! Keep up the hard work!

How many calories a day are you eating? I've seen on here that some people actually lose more when they give their body more healthy calories in. I know for me I don't lose as well at 1,200 as I do at 1,390 for the moment.
