i like to do both as well. i lost the pounds with doing mainly cardio and watching calories, but for body shaping and toning, weights are they way to go, for me at least. i did cardio alone for about 4 months and lost about 15 pounds. i have been doing weight/strength training in addition to about half the cardio for about…

try using less avocado and supplement the dressing with other things, like non-fat plain greek yogurt. it's only 45 calories for 3 ounces (which is quite a bit). you still get the avocado flavor and benefits from the fats, etc, but less calories. i use it on taco salad all the time! avocado is one of my favorite foods!

i didn't realize that we weren't allowed to slightly deviate from the question in the title of the thread by giving a brief explanation of what our reasoning was for our answer to said question. that being said, i never said that your body doesn't get hydration or water from other drinks. my point is that there are other…

my point is that, although you may be getting "water" from soda, you're also getting a lot of other stuff that isn't good for you.

amazing

i wouldn't count soda. you want to drink a lot of "water", and if you think soda counts, then that may make you want to drink more soda to reach your "water" goal. then you'd be drinking lots of extra sugar, calories, or other fake, weird, unnatural stuff. if you want to drink a soda, just log it in the food diary. i'd…

i normally just log things like this if i spend 4 hours walking around ikea and the outlet mall... but i don't list all 4 hours as walking since i definitely spend time in the fitting room while i'm there. i might log 1 hour, to be conservative and help me not go over, since i'm not sure. you could get like a fit bit or…

Pesto!!!! it's not exactly PESTO as you would be used to, but it's my healthier take on it. i love it on chicken with a little bit of whole wheat pasta. add in some sauteed mushrooms! 2 c fresh basil leaves 1/4 c pine nuts, toasted 1 garlic clove 1/4 t kosher salt 1/4 t black pepper zest and juice from one lemon 1 T EVOO 1…
