  • I love emergen-c! I find it helps with energy and staying awake. I am in grad school for midwifery so on top of studying and homework I often up all night at births.

  • Skim milk & egg whites with lower cal bread works fine. I usually put cinnamon & nutmeg in mine.

  • There is a sort of health guideline we follow called the Word of Wisdom which is where the no coffee or tea comes from. It isn't based on a what is in it.

  • I often eat most my cals at night due to being so busy all day.
  • I'd go with HRM over MFP, takes more of your personal info into account.
  • Crying is ok. Sometimes you just need to let out your frustration & sadness. Then when you are done crying you can get back to your life and not stress about it anymore.
  • I don't see many fruits and vegetables. Also why all the quick add calories? I think that makes it easier to under estimate and makes it hard to get a clear view of what you are eating.
  • The thing is not everyone has had their turn yet...
  • It will be more at first. I already have all the basics like flour, sugar, spices, rice, pasta etc. Getting all that stuff will take more money.
  • I have been bad at budgeting lately, but I never spend more than $30 at the store and go shopping 4-6x a month. so around $150 sounds about right. Maybe less.
  • I don't sweat much. I started hot yoga recently and being in a 115 degree room while doing power yoga seems to be the only time I sweat.
  • I tried to fix the pics, but there seems to be an issue with where the pics are located...
  • I like the elliptical better. Partly because it moves the speed I go. It makes me feel like I am doing more instead of just trying to keep up.
  • No, no they aren't. They are big carrots that broke and have been essentially sanded to look different.
  • I wound up going with chemicals. But essential oils work ok, you just have to do them often. I used eucalyptus and peppermint, they won't cross over any surface you wipe with the oil. They only last a day though. The chemicals last weeks. Cinnamon and pepper work too, but for vertical surfaces, they don't help.
  • I personally wouldn't consider 3 lbs in 1 month a plateau. Maybe slower than you are used to, but you are still losing... Sometimes things do slow down. I only lost 1.5 lbs last month and don't consider it a plateau yet. I have done this before and when you lose NOTHING it's a plateau. Just as a distinction as some people…
  • Be careful about trusting the database. Some of the cooked info is clearly for raw weights, like most of the hamburger ones...
  • My food scale helps me from getting too obsessed. Instead of being like do they mean a level 2/3 cup or stressing about how to measure spaghetti, I just weight things. Makes it much easier for me. Some people don't need one to lose, then again some people can eat whatever they want and never get to be as fat as I am now…
  • I have this one - I really like it. Also got my food scale from this seller on Amazon.
  • Boys get eating disorders and have body image issues. Not saying that what you are doing will cause those tings, but yes it is possible.
  • for all exercises you type int he name and hit search, if it isn't there then you have to google it to find the info and add it yourself try zumbacalories.com

  • I didn't know the origin, but have never liked that saying either. I think it has very negative connotations about food in general. Your body needs food to survive and there is nothing wrong with enjoying eating food.

  • Possible? I'd guess yes. Healthy? Depends on your starting weight. 1% of your wt a week is generally considered healthy to do w/out Dr supervision. So if you weigh 200 lbs 2 lbs would be ok and 300 lbs 3 lbs would be ok. I would recommend the slow and steady route, doing something extreme to lose 15 lbs before the end of…
  • This and cardio is good for cardiovascular health! They recommend everyone, skinny or fat, get cardio exercise, it isn't just for weight loss!
  • That's the one I have. It's great!
  • Love mine. I find it very useful for cereal & chips & other things that don't fit into a measuring cup well vary in size.
  • Logging food doesn't stress me out. It makes me more aware of what i am eating. I always eat what i want, I am just aware of portions and if I am truly hungry or just bored. If it did stress me out, I likely wouldn't do it. For me being fat and unable to lose weight* is worse than having to carefully track all my food. *I…
  • I know lots of people who lose weight from walking. I got my mom a Leslie Sansone (sp?) DVD for $1 at Goodwill. She can't walk outside very far because she gets tired after one block and has to rest. This way she can do it in her home and rest whenever she needs. The dvds aren't much if you by them new.
