A bit of humor for the group today: How's everybody doing one week in? I've replaced my normal morning snack of Starbucks chai latte and breakfast sandwich (350 cal) for celery with peanut butter and hot tea (114 cal) & it's still nummy and filling! ^_^

No bento for me today. I started trying to scrape one together, but I have no salad anymore (the bottom of the container looked like a kitten's tummy so it got tossed) and no fruit and no leftover meats, just rice and veggies. I'm just gonna buy lunch, probably soup if the cool cloudy weather holds until lunch.

That's the spirit! :) Welcome, fellow bento-er! My bento today was sesame fish, Spanish rice (under the fish), and mixed veggies, with a side salad. I forgot my dressing again, but managed to choke it down. I ate it first so then I could eat the delicious hot food to cover the taste :)

^^This Also, eat the same thing you would normally eat before a run. (If you usually run before breakfast but the race time is too late to wait that long, eat something small that you know doesn't give you digestion problems.) I spent the weekend in the mountains at the opposite corner of the state, so no bento for me today. But I do have leftover rice from dinner last night, so I should be able to make some meat and veggies tonight for later this week. And welcome to the cult club, eclaire!!

Another Mother Hubbard bento: ham-swiss roll-ups, brie, gruyere, crackers, and a salad. And I waited too long to eat lunch, so even though this was WAY more calories than usual, I'm still very shaky. I think I'm gonna raid the candy jar....again....

And the whole reason that none of my bentos fit a sammich is b/c I get ones that DO fit in my bag :/ I don't have enough space horizontally to fit a sandwich-sized bento container, so I just use a sandwich bag.

I had a sammich today with a pickle and a pear as sides. None of my bentos are big enough for a sammich (technically, they're big enough, just not shaped right unless I want to chop it into 20 pieces) so no picture today.

FINALLY went grocery shopping and have a bento again!! Leftover chicken, veggies, and rice with a side salad. I also grabbed a boiled egg and a plum b/c there's a little less in here than usual & I also waited a little too long for lunch ^_^;;

Omg, my cat would totally do that if we had a washer in our unit. She drags our socks (dirty from the laundry or clean if they're not put away immediately) ALL over the apartment!
