Hydration levels, time of day, whether or not you've been to the washroom etc can all influence your weight. You can weigh yourself every day but don't be discouraged by daily fluctuations. You should only be concerned if you're continuing to gain weight over a significant period of time (e.g. 1-2 weeks). That's why some…

Me too! haha Didn't read the whole list but #1 is complete bogus. I eat most of my calories after 8 PM and I'm in better shape than most. Another idiot thinking that you can draw meaningful conclusions from correlational studies.
-
That's your fat day? That looks like a healthy day for me lol
-
Real healthy food is more filling than fast food which most people ate in abundance to gain weight. You do have a point though. If you don't have time to eat all your exercise calories, then eat junk food to make up for it or don't exercise so damn much.

Here's an idea. Ditch the breakfast and have a solid meal later at night at least 2 hrs before you go to sleep. You can control hunger in the morning with coffee but not before going to bed so it seems to make sense to me. Try that for a few days and see how it works out. FYI it will take at least 2-3 days for your morning…

No I don't specifically eat them back. I just eat a lot every day lol
-
It's fine to stick to healthy foods and eat very little BUT eat 3k calories once a week to keep your metabolism up. Otherwise you will plateau due to a slower metabolism.
-
Without cheesecake, I would have been wondering how I'm going to eat 2.5k calories before going to bed haha
-
That cheesecake is delicious :) Also wondering how I'm going to eat 1.7k calories before going to bed :noway:
-
I only had like 1k calories today compared to my usual 3-3.5k... so it's a reverse cheat day? lol
-
I will try to lose 15 lbs at the end of my 12 week bulk. Not sure how long it'll take but I'm going for <10% bf
-
lots of milk I just eat junk food because I need to eat almost twice as much as you do :)
-
#1. If you're in pain, stop what you're doing immediately. #2. That's not a bad progress considering that you are weight training. If you weight train, you preserve muscle mass so your loss was probably all fat, no muscle. Sure, people can lose 3 lb/wk on a crash diet but it could be 40% muscle.
-
BMI is useless. According to BMI, I'm supposedly 5 lb away from being overweight lol (yeah right)
-
It's fine to eat whenever as long as you hit your daily calorie goal and it doesn't interfere with your sleep.
-
Nice! I should really start mixing up my protein shakes. I went through most of my 5lb of cookies and cream protein powder in just over a month. And I only drink it with milk lol Thanks for the link. Bookmarked :)
-
You should focus more on eating healthier than meal timing. People on Ramadan fasting eat most of their food at night but still lose weight while preserving muscle mass. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17909674
-
Well my goal is 300g a day so it's probably a little different for you :P
-
I don't know how much you exercise but eating 3k+ cal a day on a clean diet is not an easy task. I rely on junk food to hit my 3.5k because I don't have the time to be cooking all those calories and couldn't finish my meals anyway. Maybe you can eat 2.5k of clean food and fill the rest with whatever you like? Or you can…
-
It helps me meet my protein goal for the day. If I were to meet it with real foods, it would probably cost me at least $100/week.
-
Yes Yes Whenever I can't get enough calories and/or protein which is every day (my diary is open I think) Usually mix it with just milk, sometimes use the blender and put in fruits as well. I use Optimum Nutrition because they have so many flavours.
-
I put in some artificial sweetener and whatever fruit I have lying around.
-
I don't stop myself from eating/drinking anything but I don't buy soda anymore. Haven't bought ice cream in a while too but might have to start if I want to eat 3.5k cal a day...
-
this and this
-
Now. Go do some barbell compound lifts.
-
You have some serious misconceptions. Read this article: http://www.eatmoveimprove.com/2009/08/the-relationship-between-diet-and-exercise/

I have the same problem. Usually when I come back from the gym at ~8, I have at least 2k calories left and so few hours to eat them. Today I ate 2.5k cal in 4 hours D: Need to buy more frozen pizza and ice cream for easy(er) calories.
-
Ship the calories over to me. I have trouble eating my daily calories.

Sure, mixing the two can give good improvement in cardio at the expense of strength gains. My point was that there is a good reason to only weight train (e.g. limited time, focus on strength gains, etc.) but there is no good reason to only do cardio.
