  • pretty sure I would take this guys advice. edit: forgot to say, DAYUM!
  • this. Listen to your doctor! Birth control has many uses (I used it for skin, and I use it as birth control as well!) The reason people 'put on weight' is because it increases your hunger levels. I can vouch for that 100%, I went off it for about 2 months at the beginning of this year (when I started to try and lose) and…
  • 1. 50g protein is very very low. I aim for 150g 2. where is the sugar from? if it's from fibrous fruits, then no worries. If it's from honey and biscuits, worry.
  • another full-time student here :) my finals start in a few days... I am probably a veteran: in my 4th year, with 1 more year to go then (maybe) off to Post Graduate or disappearing into the abyss of fill-time investment banking (or something along those lines). Add me!
  • so basically, if these are really what kids are being given, most people commenting here are defending it? Sending a pack of cookies and a pack of chips with a fruit juice is just normal and OK? And people are going on about obesity, but what about the health issues associated with so much processed sugar regardless of…
  • haha yes, if he really knew what he was doing he'd be trying to up your confidence to make you more relaxed and have more fun, not trying to put you down and make you insecure! it's a sign that he wants to control you. not good... I'm only 2 years older than you and I've already made a 'silent' rule that a guy needs to be…
  • it is NOT NORMAL for a guy to 'complain' about how you look. If you had really unhealthy eating habits (no fresh food) or were severely overweight and he wanted to improve your HEALTH that is one thing, but putting you down about your appearance? Pretty sure I would leave a loser like that instantly. When I told my bf…
  • that seems so ridiculous to me... just rinse off what you need and throw it in a box the night before? I always have baby spinach leaves and rocket so no chopping required either (takes about 1 minute). Would be less time consuming than washing jars and sealing them etc I feel.
  • not this having more protein WILL be useful for trying to 'maintain' all the muscle you can whilst losing (you lose muscle and fat) but going below 50carbs is likely to make you very faint and low on energy for some time - not what you need right now. You say you drizzle salad with 2-4tbs. Do you have any idea how much…
  • oh your housemates sound great! That's OK, we all have our 'things' like that. Increasing fat isn't such a bad thing though, is it? Especially since you're lifting and trying to GAIN, you will need more calories!
  • you haven't discovered tinned tuna or chicken breast or egg whites yet, have you? ;)
  • heya, I really want someone to be accountable with! I am in Australia so although we are culturally sisters, we are a little TOO far away to txt :P but feel free to add me here and we can private message :) 22 F and full-time student!
  • just count your cals, eat it any time of the day :)
  • waaaaa you can't have edamame either Tiddles? This is a total long shot, but is there a possibility you could try to incorporate some eggs if they were locally grown and 110% cruelty free? I am not sure if it's diaetary or not for you to avoid them, but just a suggestion. I know in Melbs there are many hippy places (like…
  • is it because you don't have the individual confidence in yourself to achieve a goal or have success? God for weightloss... reminds me of my high school 'friend' whose mother had chemotherapy and was cured of cancer, all thanks to God of course. Or the patients another American friend's dad does emergency surgery on, and…
  • please search up 'secret eaters' on youtube.
  • Heya, I'm online most days so feel free to add :)
  • The problem of weighing? I never saw it as a problem, I use a digital scale so takes about 5 seconds per item to be honest.
  • you want muscle definition, so are you training your muscles too? As well as eating more as already recommend, lifting weights can hopefully help fuel things in your body. If you can eat more and lift more, you may gain some muscle (depends on TDEE which sounds low atm considering you're struggling to lose weight). If you…
  • It honestly comes down to your build, preferences and health. My boyfriend it 6ft2~3 and weighs 145lb, but in his cultural and genetic background (Japanese) that's pretty acceptable for someone slim. That being said, your ribs are now visible and it does 'appear' to be loose skin. I think lots of people need to come to a…
  • Heya, thanks so much for your reply! I actually don't like to eat any wheat products as I have done a lot of reading and I feel they are degenerative for my health in the long term... in addition to the bloating they give me (and sometimes headaches and dehydration and stomach cramps!!) I will admit that when there is a…
  • Yeah I have thought of trying that. I love sweet potato and beans though... I am trying to eat in such a way that I can see myself eating forever, though it is a suggestion so I will try it :) I am not into this Atkins diet bulls*it though, so would just avoid carbs from beans and potatoes. No one - I SAY NO ONE - will…
  • Yeah I guess I am comparing it to my past experience, and I am eating more now yet hungrier so a bit confused! There is certainly an element of bordom/procrasti-eating but there is no question that by dinner time I am STARVING and even after I eat dinner I am starving. I guess maybe my metabolism is higher than I thought?…
  • I agree a lot with this reply. I can do HIIT for about 15 mins then feel totally exhausted! Sprinting at 11km/hr on 10~15 inclines really takes it our of you. As recommended, try to specialise somewhere for a while. Make a weights plan. If you want to lose fat, make that your focus, but don't expect to be losing lots of…
  • all I can say is take a week off exercising. Your body increases fluids in your muscle when healing, hence increasing weight (and size). You are not gaining muscle (unless you have a hormonal disorder), but are seeing fat loss combined with muscles pumped with water. Take 1-2 weeks off. Weigh. Be astonished.
  • haha oh dear.. I can't stop seeing this overweight woman waddling with a chubby dog, and then having a cake after because 'what you eat for 30mins after exercising doesn't count... I just don't see why I'm not losing weight!' yeah, now I feel like a *kitten*.
  • could be in relation to bloating? Are you drinking lots of fluids? Are you taking days off from muscle training? Your are almost certainly not gaining muscle (besides newbie gains) as when you are eating below maintenance, your body isn't going to make muscle. It is going to use muscle for energy. When you eat under…
  • the daily calorie intake they say assumes you are not exercising at all. There is already a deficit built into that number. Your daily intake is including a deficit to give you weight loss. If you want to exercise for health benefits or other reasons, you should eat more. That is why it increases your intake for the day if…
  • well to 'eat' someone means to have sex with them in Japanese (likely similar in Korean if anyone knows the slang?) so a very valid response :) it's nice to be eaten as dessert sometimes hahaha
