I'm on day 1 of vacation tomorrow - will be (somewhat surreptitiously, I hope) doing calf raises at the bar while wine tasting. :)

Week 2: 120 done!

Count me in!

I am just over 5'10" and quite some time ago I weighed 135. I looked sickly and was constantly asked whether I had an eating disorder (far cry from today, but that's neither here nor there). Every body is different and blah, blah, blah, but I can tell you without any further information that 105 pounds is NOT a healthy…

Sounds delicious - thanks!

150 done! It's "Leg Week" at my Kickboxing Fitness class, too, so I'm going to be regretting this tomorrow, but oh well. :) Thanks for posting the challenge.

This! That girl is a total b*tch and is not worth worrying over for one second. I know it stings, particularly when she hit on something you already feel self-conscious about, but *kitten* her. There is something truly wrong with someone who would behave that way in that situation. Forget that b*tch and focus on you.

Well done!!! I see a difference all over, but especially in your legs. You look great!

I'm in for 150!

150 done.

I'm in!!

WOW! You look amazing!! You should be sooo proud of yourself. :drinker:

First of all, welcome! You've noticed that a lot of the information you see on the forums is contradictory. You will continue to see this. I am in no way an expert on nutrition and fitness, so all I can share is what I have found and what works for me personally. I eat back my exercise calories, or most of them.…

100 done! I tried doing boy push ups and can't get past one (though that's still an improvement) but I rocked the hell out of those girl push ups. Happy Friday everybody!

That totally counts! Well done. :flowerforyou:

Maybe a tablespoon of flax seed along with the berries? ETA: The flax seed might give you just enough texture. I like putting half a cup of Kashi Go Lean Crunch! in mine when I eat yogurt, but I'm guessing that since you want to cut out the granola, you wouldn't want to add in cereal.

I'm in! Girl pushups, but still pushups. I'm loving these challenges - thanks for posting!

I agree that your calories are way too low. I would nix the pickle snack since that won't add any calories to your total. For snacks, try apples with peanut butter, cottage cheese or yogurt with berries, whole wheat toast with avocado ...healthy snacks that will bulk up your calories. Also, try adding in olive oil - like…

Hah. This.

No one ever got fat from eating fruit. Bananas have a higher GI, true, but there is no such thing as a bad fruit. If you like bananas, eat them. I eat them frequently.

First of all, she is blind if she thinks you haven't lost that much weight - there is a huge difference in your before and afters. You are looking great! That said, screw her. Some people can't handle other people being successful at things like weight loss when they are insecure about themselves. It doesn't sound like you…

I bought a Polar T4 on Ebay for $50 and it just arrived this afternoon. Had it programmed in minutes and am already playing around with it. I obviously haven't had it long enough to give you a real in-depth recommendation, but so far I am smitten. Super easy to use.

200 calf raises (broken into units of 25) complete! I did mine with my heels hanging off of a step and certainly felt them.

I don't know how you feel about lentils, but I love this: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/red-lentil-curry/detail.aspx. Just ate this for lunch over spinach. One and a half servings of it comes to 288 calories and 18 grams of protein. Plus it's ridiculously filling. There are SO many ways to dress up quinoa and couscous, etc.…

My parents had 5 ravenous kids in the house, plus a multitude of friends over at all times, so they could not keep snacks in the house for more than 5 minutes. They finally devised a "mailbox" system. Each of us (including my parents) had a box into which they placed snacks that had been parceled out equally. They would…

Great reminder and well said. It's the little things that all add up. Put on a shirt today that used to cut funny at the hips and ride up - no longer! It fits perfectly. My workout pants are starting to get a little too loose for comfort since I work out in a class setting. :D The changes you notice in your body mean much…

I'm in! Looking forward to it.

I didn't post that I was joining, but I just completed my 100. Will be back tomorrow for calf raises! This is the first mini-challenge I've seen, but I'll be looking for them daily now - such a great idea. Thanks for posting!
