Your post is so timely. I was just thinking about the same question. After much trial and error I have decided that the one and only way for me to get my work out in is to go straight from work to the gym or whatever it is I am planning on doing. Like you mentioned, if I stop and do ANYTHING prior to working out I too am…

H-there was actually a time in my life when I considered taking up smoking to help me with weight loss. So glad I never did it. Cheers for you! You continue to be one of my biggest motivators and inspirations.

Week one day three completed. Walked at 3.5 and jogged at 4 .7. I did as well as can be expected given that I have been a total slug for so long. Happy to find this thread and hope to make it to week two and see everyone there. :drinker:

I am starting this weekend and I am (not quite sure why) terrified. I have committed to one of my best support pals on here that I would do a 5K with her by this Spring. Right now, I don't run, I barely walk. i am not in the worst shape of my life, but far from in 5k shape. I really really want this to happen...but maybe…

Here I am and I am totally committed..TOTALLY! My starting weight is 195 (damn I hate seeing that # in print) My ultimate goal is to be much healthier, sexier and happier so that is probably going to be a number somewhere around 150. I'm 5'7". Thanks for letting me in late in the game. Cheers, A

Budget is somewhere under 1000.00. Of course I haven't mentioned this to my husband yet but I intend to leverage the fact that I have a gym membership that I NEVER use.

As always..thanks for the cooling/recipe advice.

I joined curves about 4 years ago so it is possible that it has changed a bit since then, however, I found the circuit there very low impact and not much of a work out. I continued out the year that I committed to but supplemented with tennis and rowing. I would look to another DVD if I were you.

I thought that if I looked hard enough in our garden I could find Thumbelina and bring her inside my house to live in my Barbie's camper.

My husband and I are competitive sailors and one of the boats we crew on gave each person a nickname years ago. He's 6'4' and 235 lbs and is always charming the girls so his nickname became "Big Love". My nickname on that particular boat is "Cakes" (BL's calls me babycakes) but I thought that BigLoveLovesMe was positive…

Disgusting and not worth it! Super Size Me Bloat, gas and calories Horrible odor that lingers from frying of food "product" very limited natural ingredients Bottom line is that there are so many wonderful delicious foods, healthy and unhealthy, in the world...In my opinion McDonalds is just a waste of time, money, calories…

Thanks. I will look into your suggestions. Not trying to "head down that road -again" . These are very well nutritionally balance meals. I eat " real" food every day for lunch and dinner. thes Shakes are for breakfast and really curb my hunger satisfy. more than any other meal replacement has.

 Thanks everyone! We are going for the second week of Nov. I do eat fish so that sounds doable and will definitely ck out the restaurants suggested.

One time I attempted highlights on my own it nearly ended in shaving my head. I looked like a tiger striped freak and it cost me a bucketload of $ to have it all corrected..not to mention the emotion trauma of thinking that it couldn't be fixed. Never again.
