^^^ this! ^^^^^ He knows history- I understand science. My man has much better long-term retention than I do, though.

OH- TFT! I never get tired of your zany adventures. Thank you for starting out my day with a belly laugh! So glad that your sis' operation was successful. Here's to a quick and complete recovery. PS- welcome back North!!!

@jrnapo- Great work!!!! I love feeling the "purpose" in the gym, as well. Walking into the free weights makes me feel like such a badass. Can't wait to finish Stage 1!

"You're the best thing that ever happened to me. The last couple of years have been the best years of my life... but I'm not good enough for you." I had NO idea that was our break up.

I love my fitbit, too. Only had it for a couple of months- but I love the way it pushes me to take a few more steps!

@jfankic Although I'm not babying any injuries- I would definitely suggest listening to your body. But- go for it!!! On the first few workouts, I thought I was kicking booty, I was working through all the reps. The trainer really reminded/showed me I need to be pushing HARD to finish the last couple of reps.... not just…

Tonight I'm doing workout 5A of stage 1. I thought I was challenging myself- then had a trainer go through some reps with me. He kept loading on the weights- where I was doing 70# squats feeling good about myself, he got me to do 95# squats. I guess I'm stronger than I think???

That's fantastic! This is very inspirational: I'm halfway through stage 1, with only a weight gain at this point. Waiting on measurements until I finish stage 1.

@ CurvyGirl76- Raya looks like a handful! Awesome pic of kitty schitzing! Pretty kitties- all of them!

@GCAsmom Burrito is beautiful- and I love the name. But- my husband thinks he should be "Purrito". haha

I knew the first time I saw him I wanted to marry him... my ex, that is. Took it VERY slowly the next time... and have a wonderful husband/best friend.

I'm from Texas, and married a man in/from Ohio. We decided to get married, and 1 month later went to the justice of the peace with our parents, then had a small luncheon. Spent the afternoon getting pics (my Mom insisted!) and then went to a fancy dinner. 3 months later, we had a pig roast reception in Ohio, 3 months after…

Dry shampoo is fantastic for me! I love the sexy hair brand- as it also provides a lot of volume.

GO!

congratulations! Your pics look great- what progress!

Just because you fell down half a flight of stairs, doesn't mean you should fling yourself down the other half.

I have the Wii Zumba Fitness 2 - and used to play it a LOT. I agree, a class is more fun, but if you're shy or pressed for time it's a good option. Like someone else said- sometimes the belt is a hassle, as it won't pick up all your movements. Also- I don't like the downtime between songs. Other than that- it's a lot of…

My husband LOVES Star Wars. Everytime he's tried to make me watch it, I've fallen asleep. So- no... I've never seen it, either. (Full disclosure: I usually fall asleep during movies, not just star wars)

Congrats to those finishing up! I started Stage 1 almost 3 weeks ago, following the program 2x a week. I've gotten through both workouts twice. I performed Romanian deadlifts on 1B, then the "regular" deadlifts 2B... OUCH! I went with 70# and my hips felt it for the next 3 days! I increased my calories by 200 from what I…

It's hard to imagine you keeping secrets.

Try a Kymaro body shaper. They have pant versions, but I like the shirt-like one with straps that swoops down under your boobs. Smoothes and tightens! They used to sell in Bed, bath, and beyond, but I think you can only buy it online, now? Great product- I've bought SEVERAL and have nothing but good things to say! Regular…

I've tried both Olay regenerist and Garnier Skin renew eye rollers and was not impressed with either one. It felt good to roll them on- but didn't notice a difference with either one in my fine lines.

YES! I went with a friend to a Perfect Circle concert on Valentine's Day- on the way he asked if I realized we'd been dating for almost a year. Incredulously- I looked at him and told him we weren't dating. That was an awkward night! As for getting dumped: My college boyfriend of 3 years dumped me when I graduated, for…

Going through this, too. I've always been good at accepting compliments- but they were always about accessories (clothes, shoes, hair, make-up, jewelry)- not about ME. It's hard for me to accept that people want to talk about my body and how I've gotten it to look this way.... It's hard to admit how much time/energy I've…
