i think doing something extreme like this as a way to achieve a quick short lasting goal is fine. its like when a boxer cuts weight(be it mostly water) in the days leading up to a weigh in. but using this for general weight loss or as a way to kick start weight loss i think its a bad idea.

social science degrees are a dime a dozen and way easier to obtain than the hard sciences.

maybe for some low level social science degree but for degrees in science/math etc....an average person has little chance. but like i said before an average person has a much greater chance of being able to raise a child.

most average people off teh street have a very small chance of completing a PHD program. lots of average people raise kids all the time.

i think they mean its harder getting a PHD than it is raising a child since raising is a child is innate. we've been raising children for thousands of years.
