If you can't move out (which I would do - then you can do your own stuff), then get her on board. Sell MFP to her, and tell her how much healthier she will be. Teach her how to log stuff as well, and soon she will be hopefully cutting down on the fried chicken without you even having to nag.

That one does look good - shame it's a pay one though.

opps I'll repost

Ok I found it. They have an app now. It's called iStepLog. It doesn't sync with my Fitbit though :( Maybe I should suggest that to them!

There was a website one I was using a few years ago which was really good - only I've forgotten what it was called. Every day I would put in my step count. The idea was you would sign up for a special walk somewhere in the world and it would tell you what your progress was on doing that walk each day. One I did was across…

Just a quick question.. what is the story behind your teams name?

You sound like you are doing the right things and his condition is hard to control, but I would not tell him you are putting him on a 'diet' as such (or he might get a complex), but don't let him help himself to your healthy food you have left him with no limits. Perhaps give him limits for number of pieces of fruit he is…

I just started 4 days ago and have already lost 7.2lbs. I'm not worried. Some of it was just water loss, and some was my body reacting positively to some new changes. I'm just enjoying it while it lasts. The loss will slow down in the next few weeks as the body gets used to the new routine. I presume you are doing what I'm…

It's not going to happen at your age and the weight you currently are, but you definitely need to take it off (but slowly like you've been doing) before you get any older. If you're particularly worried do weights to tone different areas as you go. I shouldn't expect you to have any problems though unless you have a skin…

Wow awesome transformation! Thanks for sharing.

I'm a teacher, and you're not even meant to give prizes as incentives because it sends children the wrong message. But giving them sugary treats is just wrong - if the teacher is going to do that she should be giving out stickers instead. LOL send the teacher a book on classroom behaviour management!

Woman who drink soy milk have a slightly more elevated risk of developing breast cancer as they get older. That's why I stopped drinking it when I did the research.

I've got a One. It's great, and I find it very motivational :D

I think tape-worms! Really.. you need to see a doctor. You could have any number of medical conditions.. or you might just be underestimating how much you eat.

I find it hilarious that it is called "7 foods a nutritionist would never eat". All the nutritionists I have ever known (none professionally - all as friends) have been very overweight or struggling to practice personally what they have been taught. They often went into the field of nutrition with a personal interest as…

Wow awesome work! You look so much younger too! I'm working up towards my first half marathon - maybe I should fly to the states and do the disney land half! That sounds awesome!!
-
That's cool! I hope you succeed! You should set up a ticker - it is SO exciting and motivational to see it everyday and when it gets updated with how much you have lost to date. My best advice is to be 100% honest on this site and to log everything - both food and exercise. Oh and have goals small steps apart so you're not…

It's just 24% for now. I have no idea how that is going to look on me as I'm currently at 28 which is my lowest so far.

Hi, Anyone after number 25 (the last two people to post so far) will be put on the waiting list to join. If anyone drops out during the challenge you will be invited to take their place.
-
Hi, Ok, everyone up to this point should have received an invite to the group, a link to the spreadsheet, and an email from me. Thanks, Dawn

My daily predictions have been extremely accurate for the past 5 months I've been using MFP. I am very careful about logging accurately - use the kitchen scales and have measuring cups etc. I check and double check the foods I'm using in the database to make sure they're the most accurate ones. When I don't have a clue…

Hi, Ok everyone who has signed up down to this point should have their invite to the group, plus and email from me as well as access to the spreadsheet. Send me a private message if you are missing one or all of these things please, Thanks, Dawn

Hi Everyone! Hope you're all looking forward to the challenge beginning on monday. I just want to check - if anyone hasn't received an invitation to the MFP group, as well as an email from me can you private message me please? Otherwise you may find participating a bit difficult! Also please check the spreadsheet to make…

Still plenty of spots left :)

Yes! Having small goal steps along the way has helped me come down to the Overweight category. Choose something nice to do as a reward at each step that you can really look forward to. For my first reward I chose two movies and a chinese meal afterwards - one movie was for reaching the goal - the next was for being just…

There are still places available in my challenge. I have now added columns into the Google spreadsheet so body fat % can be tracked as well for the challenge for those people who would like to track that additionally.
-
Yes the google conversion is best. It also works in the Chrome address bar - just type: 177lbs to kg

Nice work! Very impressive!

I eat from the moment I get up till bed time and I lose just fine. If it fits my calories for the day I will eat it. Your body is always burning something. I hate to go to bed feeling hungry as well, and I'm sure my metabolism would slow down if I did that all the time.
