  • I get the Nooodles brand ones, and they are in the gluten free section of our major grocery store (Meijers).
  • I make my own Greek yogurt parfaits. I use the 0% Plain Fage or Chobani and add liquid stevia and what ever fruit I want. My favorite right now is diced apples sauteed with a little butter, apple pie spice and walnuts. Then I add cinnamon and liquid stevia to the yogurt and layer it all in 1 pint ball jars. I make them up…
  • I make my own sauce with 2T Soy Sauce (Kikkoman Naturally Brewed) 2T Rice Vinegar (Kikkoman UNSEASONED) 1 packet Stevia in the raw. Chopped Scallions or Onion Powder Crushed Garlic or Garlic powder. This way I control how many sugars are in it.
  • I use baby multi colored bell peppers. Very crunchy and a good flavor to go with salsa.
  • Do a search on body weight workouts. There are alot of things you can do with a sturdy chair, wall and floor and just your body. Sam's club had a brochure with 5 exercises you can do, I'm sure it's out on the web some where.
  • EAS Carb Advantage shakes are pretty good around 4-6 grams carbs per shake. If you like bars, Quest bars from netrition.com are high fiber low sugar and high protein. Very tastey and filling.
  • You can also get quest bars from netrition.com. That's where I get mine. I've tried all flavors on both their lines, and they are all quite good.
  • Unfortunately you also need to read the ingredients on your raw meats! I bought some raw boneless skinless chicken tenderloins and didn't see the tiny tiny print that said upto 15% natural juices added (read 400 mg of sodium per 4oz of raw chicken)!!!
  • For a healthier chocolate fix I like chobani champions greek vanilla chocolate chunky yogurt. It's nummy and I have to fight my daughter for them.
  • I refrigerate mine. don't know if it needs it but I think it taste best that way.
  • Can you lift weights with your upper body? That will build muscle and burn calories at the same time.
  • If you want to eat healthy choose foods from whfoods.com. They have a list of the healthiest foods, what they are, how to prepare them etc. It also has a food advisor that suggests different items to add to your diet based on nutrients you may be lacking.
  • I would only worry about the ones where sugar is an actual ingredient, not just a natural part of the item.
  • If you are not eating the 5 meals plus a full lean and green you could definitely be starving your self! If you eat on plan you are only going to get around 800-950 calories as it is, you don't want to skip any of them. You need the nutrition it provides or you won't be healthy.
  • I'm newish to the group so Hi All. I've been on medifast since 11/2010 and have lost over 125lbs. My husband and inlaws have also lost over 100lbs each. It's a great plan and I'm so glad they found it and shared it with us.
  • I didn't enjoy the side effects of not having mine. Though once I started eating low carb, moderate fat/protein, I've not had any issues.
  • Also it's not recommended to cook with EVOO. from whfoods.com: http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=foodspice&dbid=132 "Oxidation of nourishing substances found in extra virgin olive oil, as well as acrylamide formation, can occur at cooking temperatures very closer to the 300F/148C range. For these reasons, we don't…
  • Do they expire? If not save them for transition and maintenance as a goal reward:)
  • AT my heaviest (284) I was on a generic diazide & a beta blocker to get my blood pressure to 130's/80's. I'm at 156 now and only take a water pill now and my bp is usually around 112/80, and sometimes as low as 106/69:) Weight loss definitely helped me.
  • We have one. I've used the Your Shape Fitness Evolved (old version). It was a really good work out. It did a decent job of sensing your body parts and telling you if you needed to move a joint or lift a leg higher etc. It has alot of different programs. You can also buy additional ones if they get to easy. It also has…
  • I got the garden veggie at sam's club this weekend, but haven't had a chance to try it yet. Wish they had had the cinnamon that sounds delish.
  • change the cap IMG to little img
  • When I hit around 60lbs down, my hair started to fall out like mad and got very thin. I did try biotin for a couple months but really didn't see an improvement. I have been using Nioxin shampoo and that did seem to help abit. I've just noticed in the past month that my hair seems to be getting fuller, not that I ever had…
  • I'm very close to goal now, just trying to get rid of the last of the belly fat. When I started lifting weights last September I started to slowly up my daily calories while maintaining carbs < 100 grams. I increased both fat and protein. Right now I'm trying to net around 1200 calories. Over Christmas I wasn't very on…
  • Most of the time if I'm making a small batch of something I bake in a small counter top convection oven. I don't notice any change in my electric bill from that. It also doesn't heat up the house as much as running my full oven.
  • Sleep apnea will also cause you to feel that way. Do you snore when you sleep? Do you find yourself waking up alot? You could have a sleep disorder.
  • You look great! What are you basing your "healthy weight" on? If it's BMI toss it lol. Go to your doctor an ask them if you still need to loose more weight.
  • One of my favorite snacks was sour cream and salsa with tortilla chips. When i went low carb couldn't have the chips any more, but I found multi colored bell peppers were even better, tasty, good for you and a nice crunch. Would work well with hummus also I would think. I'm also adapting recipes to be less sugar/lower…
  • You too can loose the weight. I am 42 and I've lost over 120 lbs. My husband and in-laws have also lost over 100lbs each. You just have to find the program/method that works for you and stick with it. But you have to realize it is a life style change. Your current lifestyle lead you to be overweight and if you loose and go…
  • Sounds like the Met RX protein power shots. I bought these from Sam's club. They work but taste bizarre. I would basically chug it in a couple seconds then drink 20oz of water to wash the taste out of my mouth lol. Not buying them again.
