What an AWESOME story! Congratulations on being successful in the tough journey you've traveled. I commend you for having the courage to share your past. Even though we haven't been down the same road and our weaknesses aren't the same, it encourages me to "keep on keeping on!" You look fantastic and I know you feel tons…

A good solid mixture works great for me. Many times you can't separate the two as things that occur in life tend to affect how we eat. Some people are emotional eaters, stress eaters, etc. It helps to get it out there when you're having a not-so-good day and let your MFP friends encourage you through it. The same works for…

You love MAHHHHVELOUS, Superstah! You and I have about the same amount to lose and have lost about the same amount for the same length of time. I figure it will take me about another year to get it all off, but I'm perfectly okay with that. Congratulations on seeing great results from all your hard work and effort.

I eat two eggs every morning. The yolk is NOT bad for you. I've had TWO medical doctors recently tell me that the yolk from a free-range egg is very healthy and gives you the good fats (Omega 3's) that your body needs and also the hype about the cholesterol is just that--hype! We have been given a lot of bad dietary…

I remember how I felt when I hit the "just overweight" section of the BMI scale. It is a wonderful feeling! Congratulations on your accomplishments! Your hard work and dedication are paying off!

I buy 6 dozen a week. That's what living with 5 males does to the grocery bill. :)

No more sodas! That is huge for our family. Now it's bottled water. No more regular milk, only Unsweetened Almond Milk Raw nuts and seeds instead of potato chips and other processed junk foods no more cookies Now it's xylitol or stevia instead of sugar Greek Yogurt now replaces the regular yogurt lots and lots of veggies…

You look fantastic! Congratulations on your weight loss success! So many people in your situation would have used it as an excuse and would have wallowed in self-pity, but you used it to propel you to a healthy lifestyle. I think it is amazing that you went from being partially paralyzed to exercising regularly and losing…

Great blog! We've discovered some of the very same things! Thank you for writing them down and sharing with the rest of us!

Congratulations on meeting your 100-pound goal! I'd LOVE to see some pics!

Congratulations on wanting to improve your health! My best suggestion for you would be good clean eating, meaning as little to know processed foods as possible. Stick to one ingredient foods (making fruits and veggies the biggest part of your diet) unless you have sugar issues (then I'd skip the veggies). Try to eliminate…

Fantastic! Congratulations on your weight loss! Your hard work is paying off! You'll be at goal weight before you know it!

I used to drink a lot of soft drinks, then I switched from dark colas to only drinking Sprite. Last year I gave up the Sprite and haven't had a soft drink in almost a year. They don't even tempt me as I have absolutely NO DESIRE to drink them anymore. In fact, just the thoughts of a dark cola such as Pepsi or Dr. Pepper is…

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss success! Since my goal weight is the same as yours, it gives me a nice visual of what I can look forward to.

You look absolutely wonderful! Congratulations on your weight loss success. Your story inspires me to continue on into my journey. BTW, I LOVE your natural curly hair!

LOL! I know EXACTLY what you mean. Yes, I know cherries are one of the lowest GI foods, but sadly, I don't like them. :-(

I'm loving this thread! Several of you have said that you began cooking this way because of intolerances/allergies, which I believe develops from eating so much processed food IMHO. Also to the one who commented about she finds that eating the full calorie foods rather than low fat/no fat variety keeps her fuller longer,…

I LOVE bananas! They are one of my favorite fruits but I CANNOT have them. I am hypoglycemic and bananas are full of sugars and carbs. One banana takes up almost half of my daily allotment. I eat them on rare occasion as a special treat like most people would eat a slice of cake as a treat. Don't even get me started on the…

I'm on Day 8. It does get better although I'm still on level 1 and don't know how long it's going to take me to get past that level.

I started the 30DS on 1/9/12 and I just so happened to have completed my 5th day right before I saw this post. It's still hard for me but it has gotten a little easier. My biggest problem is the push-ups (really weak in the upper body) and the lunges (balance issues), but I'm going to stay with it. If it takes me 30 days…
