  • Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland are two of my favorite movies. :) Also, if you haven't read it, you should check out World War Z by Max Brooks -- it's being made into a movie currently -- but it's the book that got me on my zombie kick.

  • :) Absolutely amazing
  • My husband regularly yells at passing teenagers to "Stay off my lawn!" My second son is as tall as me I discuss bowel movements with my elderly neighbor when we ask each other how things are going Going to bed at 11pm is considered staying up late
  • :) The draw of the nerd talk is what interested me, initially!! But all the topics they have are generally pretty awesome.
  • This is awesome. Awesome.
  • I.Can't.Stop.Laughing. I have never had any definitive experiences of my own, and I am a pretty skeptical person, but working with night personnel in hospitals, I 100% believe the stories that people have told me about patients 'seeing' other patients who died in their room.
  • I sweat like a wildabeast, and run in high temps with horrible humidity. I use a fuel belt, which I love (yay pockets!), but I don't generally carry water for anything under 9 miles. It used to be 13, but the humidity makes me want it sooner than that. I don't know, I just don't get thirsty until after I stop -- but I have…
  • Toadies -- 'I Burn' is my buildup song -- no matter how tired I am this song ramps me up System of a Down -- Sugar Lil' Wayne -- 6 Foot 7 Foot Eminem -- Cinderella Man I kind of like angry, alpha-male type music when I work out. Which is pretty hilarious, considering I like slow, weepy, sad songs on any other occasion.
  • I tried them back in the day -- they were the only pill I've ever tried, and I saw results but it was just water weight in the first couple of weeks. After that -- nada. Also? They made me super nauseous and jittery, and I only ever took half the recommended dose.
  • At my last job, we all had partial-walled cubicles so we could see each other and work and communicate as a team. I worked in a three-person group and the other two girls DESPISED each other. Whenever I would have a conversation with one, the other would IM me constantly, talking trash and making commentary on our…

  • 5'1" and my goal is 130-135. But, *cough* I'm pretty buff. *Flexes* I was down to 137lbs. 2 years ago and was feeling pretty healthy. I like a little fluff on top of my buff.
  • I just worked out, am reading 50 Shades of Grey, and trolling this thread. I'm horngry.
  • I don't normally log walking, cleaning, etc. But I would log a full day at the theme park at LEAST as 60 minutes of walking at a slow pace. I find that those full days walking out in the sun exhaust me more than a 12-mile run!! Make sure you drink lots of water!!
  • LOL!! I love me some Steve. My husband -- he's practically a woman. And I mean that in an awestruck, amazingly wonderful kind of way. He's the bees knees. I also have a thing for Christina Ricci (with curves), Cate Blanchett, and Jessica Alba's *kitten* in Sin City.
  • I have them too, they are pretty distinct to me, but I have NEVER had anyone say anything to them about me. I don't think I've ever had anyone look at them, even. Don't sweat it -- check out my pictures. You can see them a bit in my profile picture, but they are not awful. You've worked hard for your muscles -- strut that…
  • 100% yes. I try to stick around in every race to see the final finisher (usually I am not waiting long...). Seeing that much effort is incredibly inspirational to me, and I honestly remember these people every time I have a difficult run.
  • I am a heavy runner for my height. I've never really had problems with injury (other than a bout of bursitis from poor stretching), I don't have pronation issues and I land mid-to-forefoot. So I figured I would try out minimalist shoes to see what all the hype was about. I do run on the treadmill barefoot sometimes (only…
  • You know, I used to think Lean Cuisine meals were healthy..... Oh, how naive. The thought of eating one now makes me shudder.
  • LOL. Maybe if I had your body composition I'd be more comfortable telling people that. Great job on your physique -- I was so impressed I had to show my husband your profile (he is pretty buff as well, so he appreciates the dedication that you must put into your workouts and nutrition). High five!!
  • Thanks -- I do have coffee every morning and I put Splenda in it. I gave it up for Lent and just used regular sugar, but now I'm back to Splenda -- possibly that is the culprit. I'll have to play around a little bit with it and see!!
  • LOL. No apology necessary. My eating habits have really slipped back toward the processed stuff. This was a great reminder to me that I need to get myself together. Again.
  • :) This is why I run with my dog.... I can blame her. I just wish I could pinpoint WHY it's happening to me... it's frustrating because it's always when I'm in class or working in the hospital and can't get to food right away. Once I eat it goes away.
  • .......Annnnd you just made my morning. :)
  • I am in my second year of radiography school -- I know your pain!! Find a few websites and search recipes to make on weekends when you have more time. I made a new year's resolution to try at least one new healthy recipe a week. That has helped keep me on target even when I am swamped with studying and mom-type…

  • Not sure that gender will make a major impact, but I guess I would say to be direct. Ask him to let you know what's on his mind and if he has any preferences.
  • Yeahhhh!! You are so ready!

  • I work in medical, and I know many people who have been asked to cover theirs. Certain surgeons will refuse to work with you in the OR if they don't approve of your tattoos. As far as stigmas -- I think nowadays the stigma is less based solely on the tattoos and more on the person's overall appearance and attitude. I live…
